I was so excited about this video that I drove half an hour to go and buy it for £20. Can't imagine kids doing that now. I know people tend to have rose tinted glasses, but I feel really lucky to have been into BMX in the mid school era. Instant publishing and consumption of tricks, combos etc via social media I feel has killed off a lot of the excitement around the 'sport' that was present back then
Degroot has always been one of the best all round riders! He was always ahead of the curve and innovative in flatland. He was an advanced mini ramp rider bring new things to the game. Finally he was a skilled vert rider even if he was not often sewn hitting the big ramps of the time. I remember meeting him at a few of the Hoffman BS contest of 92 and he was always willing to help point out things to improve your riding.
