A Compact Reflex Optic for Your Handgun
Looking to enhance that red-dot-ready handgun of yours? Then you're in luck! This Holosun HS407K-X2 Reflex Sight is a dedicated design that's affordable, durable and loaded with features meant to help you shoot faster and aim more easily.
Designed for use on personal-defense handguns, this Holosun HS407-X2 Reflex sight is outfitted with a large viewing window that'll help you get on target and check out what's going on downrange. The sight features a battery life of up to 50,000 hours on setting 6, so you won't have to worry about changing it anytime soon. Even when you do have to change it, the battery tray slides out from the side of the sight, so you don't have to take the optic off your gun.
One of the other great features the Holosun HS407-X2 Reflex Sight has is its Lock Mode. This locks all of the settings on the optic, so any button pushes that happen when your gun is in its holster won't affect the sight arrangement you choose. The optic also features Shake Awake technology to conserve battery life. The 7075-T6 aluminum housing is built to handle anything you throw at this thing, so you can carry with confidence.
This was the exact kind of review I was looking for to confirm what I thought I wanted in a red dot.
Thank you.
glad to help!
I wasn’t bad with a red dot. I just was too tight to spend the $ on a good one until I finally got a Holosun 407 k. What a difference maker for old eyes. I can spot the dot immediately when I pull the gun up. I didn’t know what I was missing!
Awesome review. The larger dot only makes sense in certain situations and the glass doesn't look small enough to make a noticeable difference.
it's very close in terms of real world performance.
nah this intro is top tier 😂great editing bro
Great review brotha! I think the 6 MOA might be a better option for edc weapons as most self defense situations are Close Quarters anyways.
Awesome! I’m running the same set up but with the 5” version. Can’t wait to go to the range and try it out
Right on!
Love your content!! Rockin a Beavis Hairdo!!

Watched your review a while ago when trying to decide on what red dot I should get and I just bought the Canik TP9 SC Elite w/ the 407k X2 and I’m soooo excited😎
Finally, a review of one of these thatd NOT on a MICRO compact.
glad to help!
Ordered this today with 6 MOA for my Hellcat. Took a defensive handgun class this past weekend and everyone w a Red dot was significantly more accurate than those of us with just iron sights.
Hey hopefully you read this how do you like this for your hellcat? I picked up a cheap red dot the ther day to give them a try and I really like it just curious how you liked the this red dot
@@baboshleep4887 it’s great. I haven’t taken any classes with it yet but I’ve gone to the gun range twice. The 6 MOA dot is perfect for a micro 9. Only thing I don’t like is an adapter plate is required.
@@scott2228 yeah I know about the adapter plate but I’d I can ask why did you not want to get the tabs milled down? I’ve been looking at the holosun 507k I think imma gonna send side out to get milled down is there any particular reason you didn’t go that route?
@@baboshleep4887 I most likely will have it milled at some point. The adapter plate is a temp fix. I don’t have access to equipment at this time but will eventually.
@@scott2228 with the adapter plates you cannot use the iron sight correct? Do you think if I killed it down I could use the iron sights? That’s would be my main purpose in getting it milled down
Red dot sight!? What are thoooose? I zero my edc(32acp pocket revolver), at 400 yards, iron sights only...offhand, with a mystery crosswind, facing due east as the sun rises.

Very good video, love holosun optics, I just purchased my 407k for my p365xl got it for a great deal paid $156.99 on tombstone tactical super happy. This is going to be my third holosun product. Love their innovation.
Wow that's a steal gotta check it out
@Joseph Stalin yeah I'm always on the hunt for a good deal tbh. The red dot arrived and already got it mounted. Love it. Now just gotta sight it in.
@@2APOV looks like they don't have that deal anymore
Great review. I been debating 407k/507k for my tp9 elite sc. This helped for sure and also I got the mete sfx model great guns for sure and it’s great knowing the holosun will fit both guns!
Glad to help sir!
I’d go 407k for EDC and 507k for range, USPSA
@@korazjian5251 I went with the 407k it’s an excellent optic on the elite sc for edc!
@@mike17912A right on man I’m still trying to decide between red and green dot lol I just don’t wanna get stuck with something that doesn’t click ya know
I'm running the 407k x2 on my Canik TP9 elite SC too. It's my EDC.
This is one of the videos of all time.
agreed
Big fan of the 407/507 optics.
me too!
Just bought one getting ready to go try it out
Great video. I liked your look at the Holosun 407K optic as I have been thinking of it or the 507k. I like choice of pistol as it’s one I am looking to add a red dot to
I like the simple dot personally. Also, it works great with the Canik as long as you sand down one of the polymer plates.
Great review, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you
I got the 407 on my S&W Equalizer 👌👌👌
This video is perfectly timed lol I’m highly considering getting one of these or the 507k but either way this input is greatly appreciated
Glad to help man! can't go wrong either way.
Thanks for this review. I will be getting this 6moa H.S. for my Canik Rival. 🤘
Nice man!
Awesome gun I wish some day I get that gun for home defence
Its a good one!
great review thanks 😎 canik gang just picked up the mc9
Just mounted this on my Shield 30 Super Carry with a adapter Holosun recommended RMS-C. Sweet green 6 MOA dot
Nice, how you like that gun in 30sc?
Holosun micros are a win all around.
Probably still the best value out there.
@@gundeals the gun training pistol schools oh so trash all red dots that aint aimpoint or trigicon. We public cant dump 400- 600 optic prices. Just picked up a canik mete this is just a few footprint that will fit some pistols 6 moa is way to go. Keep rocking it.....
I carry a knife everywhere. The point fits in my holosun
literally anything
Solid review! Thanks again!!
Any time!
Just bought one of these for the same gun you were using the canik. Hoping I like it more than the swampfox red dots I’ve bought
I have had great luck with the holosun dots.
I have the Justice green dot and love it! I would have purchased the sentinel For my Mete SFx but I don't like bottom mount batteries. So now in looking at holosun k series
@@kansasgardener5844 holosun 407k is great. I liked the liberty, but I hope soon they have different reticle size options. I prefer 6 moa pistol red dots generally.
@@aleffel9668 I'm probably going with the 507 k GR.
@@kansasgardener5844 I only went with the 407k for the 6moa dot, otherwise would've gone with the 507
Beautiful video brother
Great review, thanks a lot.
I am not sure if I would choose the Chocolate or the Powered Sugar version of the mini donuts. It's kind of a day-to-day decision.
Hey bro great review, I have a question what holster are you using in this video that lets you holster your handgun with optic and flashlight? And will this optic fit a SIG p320 M18?
Love your videos man. The rmr cc is a different foot print from rmsc.
Thanks for that, my bad!
@@gundeals just make another cool video and we will call it even.
What are the odds, I ordered a canik mete today and was trying to decide which holosun to put on it. Holosun 407k x2 ordered
Nice, I like it a lot.
Haha me too. got mine last weekend. I almost bought the 507k since i thought i didnt have to remove the pins, but its the same ordeal. got my 407k ordered.
I appreciate you mentioning the glass on this 407k and you also mentioned there were others that were flatter do you think you might be able to give us folks who are on the hunt for a good optic some of the part numbers so that we can research them thank you by the way I have gx4 Taurus Toro
The flatter ones are less durable so it depends on what you are going for.
@@gundeals thx, I dont know what I'm looking for, 🥴👍
Very helpful review!! Thank you. New sub
Glad it was helpful!
Great review!
Thanks!
I understand that the Holosuns have "shake awake" feature, on a daily carry, while in the holster, on body, is it being "shaken" constantly on?
yes it would be.
@@gundeals thanks for the quick reply.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour...
cool intro, good info. what AR is that?
The only thing I dislike about Holosun red dots is the giant logo on the sides. It looks overly big and should be about half the size that it is.
I'm definitely considering this red dot for my MP9, thanks for the review. Subbed, great reviews.
Thanks man! most companies treat thier products like bilboards.
Get aluminum black metal finish it will darken the white lettering
The 508 is all black, no white logo
You spend zero time looking at the logo
What holster you using? I have canik tps9 SF elite. With baldr pro
I am using the Blackhawk LTD for the Glock 17 with TLR1, works ok with the Canik SFT and TLR1
It uses a proprietary K footprint
RMRcc does not share any common footprint and neither do other micro red dot optics (like this 407k or Shield RMS or Sig Romeo Zero) are similar to RMRcc until this time I am writing this comment.
RMRcc has its own foot print.
I that a Hellion I see in the background?
No sir, just a BF12 shotgun.
Great review.
Thanks!
What holster are you using for your mete?
Thanks for the video man,I'm about to buy the Same gun, I've also looking at this optic. Did u need a special plate to mount the 407k
plates were in the Canik case.
@@gundeals ok thankyou
Bought it ...put it on a smith 22 mag
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
For a first time red dot user, full size m&p pistol (Optic ready), not great eyesight, would you recommend this one or would the smaller glass and curved/magnification not be preferable?
I think the bigger glass is a little helpful, but either with some practice will be great.
Anything down below
If you EDC on the shake awake setting, does it stay on as you are walking? Thx in advance.
nice
Why does every video keep saying budget for really expensive optics and firearms? A little Red dot that is over two hundred and forty dollars is not a low tier budget red dot. It's a top dollar sight
Compared to all the other quality red dots, it is considered a budget optic.
Hey, im just getting into shooting canted.
Is the 407 suited for canted shooting or is there better options you guys would consider.

What holster are you running on the Canik? And red dot on the AR?
Blackhawk L2D, Sig Romeo 8t
Did you have to modify the plate to fit the holosun 407k on the mete sft?
Mine fit perfectly.
Will the 407k fits with Taurus tx 22 competition? Thanks
That info should be on the manufacturers website.

Which Glock mos plate fits this optic?
Did you find out

does that thing fit on the Taurus TX 22 ?

@@gundeals i stuck around :) i enjoyed the video too bro you got a new subscriber over here
9x18 makarov !!!
507 acss ftw
They don't make that in a K size yet do they?
@@gundeals no sadly.

Calling this optic a “budget optic” is disrespectful imo.
It’s lk 200+ dollars
in the spectrum of $20-$5000 optics, $200 is closer to one side than the other.
@@gundeals with that being said yes I can agree with your view. BUT I’d say the 20-100 dollar range is a “budget” optic. Also I feel lk saying budget optic is the diplomatic way of saying cheap. Or “you can’t afford better”.
It’s a kind of tongue in cheek sort of term
90% of the video is your face. I want to see the Holosun. I turned it off after 14 minutes and no sight.
I have no idea what you're talking about. 90% of the video is not *only* his face. He absolutely showed the sight from all angles, showed the dot itself, as well as him shooting with it. He compared the sight to a newer version. What more do you want??? Your comment is quite confusing. This video was great!!
Can they cowitnessw with factory g17 sights
Would this be good on a g17 ?
No, its too narrow.
