as a dad who also drags his son along on my 4wd adventures... they will never know how much work it is for you but knowing that they get away from the screen and enjoy the outside is worth it. Cheers man great video.
Totally agree! I used to backpack and do all kinds of other stuff before, but the nice thing about taking the truck places is that the kids can fully join in, and be a part of the experience.
Holy shit man I’ve been doing research on camping in the outer banks for my anniversary and I stumbled upon this video!! Definitely confirmed my trip is going to be in the out banks!! Thanks man! You got a sub from me!
Awesome, welcome to the crew! You should check out the other channel I just created, Mountains to Sea Overland (ua-cam.com/channels/HEtM0dkyIbFPcwqMvjafZQ.html) for more detailed overland style trip videos to local areas
Oh man they really are. These trips provide such a great opportunity to teach patience and good attitudes no matter what. Plus you wouldn't believe how great the videos are for providing a positive feedback loop. I feature on the videos the behaviors and attitudes that I want to see in them that will make the trips fun, and they are more intentional in future trips about their commitment to those behaviors.
No way, how did you work that out? Onboard generator? I have always hesitated to camp at the beach during the warmer months because you just can't get away from the heat and I hate trying sleep when it's really warm. My solution is to head to the mountains this time of year!
@@wlfmachine ,just got back Sunday. I bought a high rise camper shell and built in the bed when tons of storage underneath. I cut a 1" piece of marine plywood and slid it in after I dropped the tailgate, fit just like the tailgate too. Jigsaw a hole for the window unit and had a silent generator running it,worked like a charm. My wife and I met a few other couples on their 1st and 2nd overland down there but they had rooftop tents.
Nice! Do you remember the brand/name of the generator? I didn't think one of those would last long enough running an air conditioner. This could open up all kinds of possibilities for summer camping :)
We're looking to do a guys fishing trip on October to that campsite. Is there walking access over the dunes that we could pull our fishing carts along?
Can I use an unmanned aircraft or drone within the seashore? The launching, landing, or operating of unmanned aircraft/drones on lands and waters administered by the National Park Service is prohibited.

I like to say that this channel is for inspiration, and that channel is for information.
Nice rig. Cool vid. Thanks. Was there with my RTT little over a month ago. Going back for sure.
Really great family trip. Glad you had fun. Your kids are troopers.

@@wlfmachine ,its a Honda silent generator and a 5000 btu window unit.
Nice, I'll have to explore this more and maybe it would make the area more enjoyable during the summertime months.

Yes. There are beach access trails

The launching, landing, or operating of unmanned aircraft/drones on lands and waters administered by the National Park Service is prohibited.
No you can not. I’m curious where exactly this was?
Legal to fly a drone here?
Woohoo Brianna!!!
:)
Superb video! Nice sunrise, great music well done. It's all about the kids. They'll only be that age once. Watch me on FEC TV "Fish every cast TV"
