    Awesome video bro. Chemical guys is a great product especially if you have a local distributor. Sucks that we have all this technology but automakers cant give us plastic headlights that dont fade.

    Best product that I used was Meguiar’s ultimate compound and ultimate polish with a dual action polished. It takes two minutes

    My headlights wasn't as bad as your's were but would you recommend this rather than using a wet sanding process for headlights that aren't as bad?

    • @PassiveMatt
      @PassiveMatt  7 років тому

      Joshua Burnside yea it did just as good as if I was to wet sand it the only issue that I have is that you need a sealer if not there gonna haze up in like 6months

    • @PassiveMatt
      @PassiveMatt  6 років тому

    How do the headlights Look now? I used this on a few of my customers that didn't want to pay more then 20$ to restore their headlights. They say it last 4 months without sealant

    • @daves.3278
      @daves.3278 6 років тому

      Knife Nut I do the headlight restorations at my tire shop and I gotta get the customers in and out as soon as possible. 10-15 min is too much. Usually takes me 3-6 min to restore the lights and have them on thier way

    Always mask-off the surrounding paintwork. Especially when working with abrasives on a BLACK CAR!

  • @turfdancer78

    U probably could've sanded it prior and than polished it

    • @PassiveMatt
      @PassiveMatt  6 років тому +2

      joseph lopez yea that’s what I normally do but we had got that headlight restoration at my job so I wanted to test it not bad stuff

    • @turfdancer78
      @turfdancer78 6 років тому +2

      Matt Hernandez yeah but I wonder how it'll look if u sand it and polish it with this stuff. Cuz usually u do a several step sand and a compound than polish. I wonder if this stuff can bring the polishing part to one step

    • @PassiveMatt
      @PassiveMatt  6 років тому +1

      joseph lopez yea That would probably help a lot more he’ll probably be a lot cleaner but the real question is how long will it last without a sealer or sealant on it after you’re finished

    • @PassiveMatt
      @PassiveMatt  6 років тому +1

      @turfdancer78 6 років тому +2

      Matt Hernandez good question brotha idk but if say awhile bro cuz at the end of the day ur sanding off all of the dead clear coat. So I'm sure it'll last for a couple months without sealant

  • @jskallingtin

    Is the product you’re using a temporary fix or permanent fix?

    • @stevenwalker7070
      @stevenwalker7070 5 років тому +1

      Angel Moreno temporary, you need to apply a sealent after. I use Meguiar’s sealent and sometimes jet seal from chemical guys

      Steve Bobbitt I was going to ask that, if you can apply jet seal after that. Doesn't look great anyways so spent $6 for nothing.
