Some of the best cars ever made. 363k on my '99 and still runs like new. Original engine & trans, AC still blows ice cold, every interior switch still works. Take care of it and it'll basically run forever.

I had this 1st gen 1999 avalon until 2 years ago. It was very smooth, spacious, even enough power in stop and go traffic, and good mpg.
do you regret getting rid of it?
I wish they did a road test on this Avalon.
Thats insane...$30k for the XLS is $59,000 in todays money.
Overpriced for what it offers
@moeschizlac not because it last forever.
It's more of an indictment on the lost value of the dollar in the last 3 years.
@@chriscornelius2518Yeah you’re right. Buy bitcoin.
I saw Sting’s 1987 CD Nothing Like The Sun in the center console.
1997 avalon 226,000 miles cold a/c great pickup
Sadly almost no "large" sedans any more.
And the Avalon will be discontinued this year.
@@carexpertandy To be replaced by a raised Crown sedan that in my opinion looks ugly. Maybe it will sell?
l liked the old PESPI can. 👍
Looks just like a first gen GS300 from the side.
I was thinking the same thing
Why does he say, “Camray”? Please..can someone help me with that?
I don't know he said it on the 88 Camry V6 review and trust me it's very weird. But he did say it correctly in the 92 Camry.
Idk. He eventually learned his lesson in the 2000s.
Why doesn’t anyone make a column shifter now? I love them.
336 95 on me
The Japanese Lumina
Wrong.
Version japanese of Lumina
Avalon always sounded like a feminine hygiene product to me. At a time when SUVs were really gaining populatrity.
