Well, John, I have 9 feet of ribbon in my clerical pocket, under my alb, with in end paper clipped to my cuff. This will be fun to surprise the 2 year old when I give the end to her and it just keeps going. Very exciting.

But… thinking about it, here is the idea that I had… all around the need for help from our friends (Beatles Earworm, anyone?) … but have a long piece of rope. A good 15 feet. One that would be impossible for you to lift off the floor by yourself. Stand at one end, and lift it… “I want to lift this rope up off the floor but I can’t do it by myself.” Depending on the age of the kids, you can have them help trouble shoot and figure out, that they need another person on the other end. But then you need a couple more in the center and on both sides of the center, so alll of you working together can get the rope off the floor.” -- Moving it into the story of the man’s friends, and how they all had to work to help him get through the roof and down where Jesus was… Wondering, “How long do you think it took them?” “Do you think they ever wanted to give up?” “Why do you think they didn’t give up?” I hope this helps some!
