Looking forward to this! Can’t wait for it to arrive in the Philippines. I already have the E12 V2 and I’m impressed. Especially the runtime. The V2 seems to last forever using Alkaline, it might be the efficient circuit. This new version with magnetic metal switch will surely solve the problem of the previous version’s rubber button getting damaged easily. I also like that the V3 appears to be more throwy due to the emitter and optics. That’s my issue with older version V2, it lacks throw. I can’t wait to get my hands on the V3! It will serve as my emergency back up, with an 18650 light as my main light.
Is the lens made of plastic or glass? Also, it seems a bit odd that the tail cap does not unscrew. There seems to be a seam just above the groove for the clip (with the light pointing down). Could you please verify this?
Man i wish it had strobe. I have a couple of v1 and a couple of v2. I was hoping the v3 would have a strobe. What a bummer. Im done with this AA light and going with Manker.
I really like the Fenix E12 V2.0. I've purchased a lot of those as gifts. I da know about the SSt20 on this new version 3. My Fenix E20 was so greenish with that LED. I'm disappointed with memory mode on the new V3 too. Having just 3 modes and the Ver 2 always coming on in low was so convenient. If you needed higher output, just a quick tap of the button. Now for forward clicky switched lights, I understand the benefit of memorized mode when you have a momentary function. But with a reverse clicky switch, I'll have to pass. There's not enough positives over the Ver 2 to entice me.

No. While 14500 and AA batteries share the same general dimensions, they have distinctly different voltages due to their chemistries. 14500 cells may also have built in PTC or other protection systems, which can slightly increase their overall length. Primary AA batteries usually that use alkaline, lithium, or zinc-chloride chemistries have a 1.5V nominal voltage, while rechargeable AAs using NiMH or NiCd chemistries have a 1.2V nominal voltage. 14500 batteries use lithium-ion chemistry and have a 3.6/3.7V nominal voltage, and are rechargeable. Due to their higher voltage, they are not always a suitable replacement for AAs. Check your device's user manual for battery compatibility.
This will replace my E12 V1. Love the memory function and magnetic switch. Can't wait.

It doesn’t work with 14500 batteries according to the description of detail page in China
It can work on any 1.5v AA/14500 cells as stated in my video. 14500 is the actual size of the battery is. Thanks for watching?
