How To Make Battery Capacity Tester 🔋 Arduino mAh meter

In this video we are going to make a diy battery capacity meter, When you have salvaged a li ion or li po batteries , you have no idea on its real capacity , they have markings but that markings are just true if they are just fresh. battery capacity goes down as we cycle them(charge-discharge) many times.

this prototype is far from perfect .we are limited by the accuracy of the adc, its noise and the shunt resistor gets hot so its resistance will change a little bit.Yes, the voltage divider on the shunt is very wierd design in know. Yes ,one can use low value shunt but it will require a nice opamp. But at least this gives us idea on the battery capacity.

Bad video quality. Good audio quality. Great English accent and most important... EXCELLENT content. Thank you for sharing... I need to build one of these.
I think a great add-on would be SD card logging with a test cycle counter incrementally increasing at the start of a new test. When a new test starts the display could give a test cycle number, we can write that on the battery. After testing all day long we can then take the SD card and print out pretty labels with the logged results.
