3 years ago this video was released and inspired me to try and learn bass. 2 years ago I finally decided to pick up the bass and start practicing. 1 year ago I tried this song and absolutely failed at it. Today, I came back and still completely failed at it. Thank you for the amazing tabs! ❤

Try other songs, and, if you're struggling with fills, just practice it with like half of the original song bpm or even slower, and increase tempo every time you feel really comfortable with playing fills at that speed. Please, don't give up man! Happy practicing 😸

The great thing about this video is that I thought that the player made a slight mistake on Dm7 at 2:13 However it was amazing to find out the player was perfectly consistent to the original track.
This was released only a few months after the MJ song. The Japanese "city pop" genre was heavily influenced by American "West Coast" funk and pop music. Perhaps that pentatonic figure was added intentionally as a nod to the MJ song?
@@kennet7837 That's what I was thinking, I didn't know this was released back then I thought it was modern song and they threw the similar MJ lick like an Easter egg. But most likely it's just coincidence / influence. But I always love hearing licks that sounds familiar and then figure out which song it reminds me of.
