If the combine can't get traction enough to pull itself up the hill the hill is so steep that the combine will roll over if going sideways on the hill. Remember the grain tank is on top of the machine and wheat and corn weigh over 50lbs per bushel and grain tanks can hold 400 bushels and more depending on the size of the machine.
Because the grain going through the sieves in the harvester will drop to one side and lots of the grain will get through out the back. That's why modern combines have self leveling systems.

I guess it would if they're traveling slow enough. Looks like a pretty shaky operation to me. They need a self-leveling hillside machine for that operation--but probably can not afford one.
Where's the four wheel drive system they made four wheel drive ones back then. Take the tires off and put them on backwards so it climbs a hill and then the ones in the back you leave straight. You don't need a tire guy you got a jacket up on both the room and switch sides...m if you're making that much grain or seed and you're only going 50 ft who cares you got a lot of food. Don't sit there and b**** and cry about it
They demonstrated that they have a 4x4 system it’s a push tractor. I see hard working guys using 50 year old equipment in places it wasn’t originally designed for and making it work, hats off to them. And you’re whining about that they are doing it not easy enough.
Спасибо ребята за ваш труд по уборке урожая
Bonjour, une bonne journée et très bon courage !!! ❤❤

It works better if you plant the high areas horizontally instead of vertically......
Hay que darse maña como sea.
Combine harvesting on steep slope needed tractor from rear to push up hill, the combines driving wheel was slipping as seen in the video.
That’s gettin it done
Why can't they harvest sideways that hill?

yes combines can traverse hills sideways.

Where is that at? There is no combines that size in the United States.
Turkey. And we still use small harvesters in europe
Looks like 1950s farming
It’s a JD combine from the 1960s
here in the 60s there was45, 55, 95, and 105. That were the size combines in the 60s here in the United States.

Having operated combines for 46years I have no idea why you would tackle that slope like this .And it is ridiculously dangerous on several counts.
