- Thanks a ton for watching, as things are ramping up and we’re getting
closer to being a “real” UA-cam Channel, and the best way to support that
is through Patreon! Some of the other benefits include sneak peaks of what
happening inside the shop, your name in the credit roll of the video, and
extended/ educational/ ad free cuts of the videos that go on the main
channel. ( / willstelter )
Huge thanks to Jason @FireballTool for finding me the lathe, as well as bringing over his forklift to get it loaded up!
The best place to follow along with the day to day updates in the shop is
through my instagram @Will_Stelter

In this episode, Will goes back to Alec's workshop and burgles one of his forges, since Alec is in the UK and can't stop him... :D
He couldn't anyway, he's just a small man after all... :D
Or maybe that's what he won in the divorce?
The question is how many consumables like abrasive belts and grinding discs did he have in his pockets on the way out? 🤔😂
@@eirvine to be honest, the way they both can beat that anvil, it would be a hell of a boxing match between them, or a double knockout in the opening seconds of the first round? 😵😵 hahahaha 🤣🥊🥊
lol
Hope you left a floater at Alecs !!!!! lol
When he said “ladies and gentleman welcome back to the workshop” from Alec’s workshop, I felt that
Time stamp?
5:35
Let's stay here......
Notice also in the time-lapse, he looks a lot like Alec as well. Did somebody say twins? 🤣
AVE at the back of my head
Just as someone else said, the biggest thing you did wrong was wait so long in between videos. Hit us with a little vlog action or some small updates. You were Alec Steele's channel for a while. Like, all we saw was you. You brought in views and made good content. You are still the same person that we like and support.
Yup. :).
wholeheartedly agree i want more updates. ESPECIALLY shop updates lol
MUCH LOVE WILL
Great to see you back!
More Will
Ditto!
"That thing is so heavy we don't even have to strap it down, so that's nice"
*Sad Little Giant Noises*
Zziiinng
Oh SNAP!
Should have slapped it and said "that aint goin no where"
that's what she said 🤣🤣 . Ok, sorry. Couldn't help it.
Biggest thing you've done wrong is waiting so long between videos!
Yeah! What he said!
Not necessarily complaining though it just means that we get more content in the vids!
@@ryanconran824 not totally. It's an 11 minute video. The content in this video probably could have made 4 separate videos. I feel many youtubers fail to see how interested their viewers would be in what they consider not interesting. I'm a viewer of Demolition Ranch and the dude there made another channel called Off The Ranch where he does things unrelated to his main channel. Will is setting up a shop. Tons of people would be interested in his process of setting everything up, why it's taking so long, how and why he puts equipment in specific areas, inspecting equipment before he purchases it and what he is looking for during the inspections, etc. While he isn't forging anything currently people would be interested in that stuff.
@@cwinter90 Off The Ranch is pretty cool, I like it even better than Demo Ranch (I love guns and general weaponry, but watching someone shoot just isn't really fun for me, so I hardly ever watch it). So I support your comment. If able, Will should definitely post more vids, even if it's just about the things you mentioned, I know I'd be interested.
@Chris W I love Matt carriker lol I've been watching him since day 1 of his UA-cam arrival. And yes and no, you're absolutely right he could probably be making more videos right now, and he probably could have made multiple videos with the amount of content that he got (yes) But those videos wouldn't have been as entertaining or as purposeful (in his eyes) or anywhere near as long as this one was. Also you don't know what sort of stress he's under right now and how hard he's working to get this new shop up and running and you have to take into consideration it takes a lot of time and energy to make a video, I would suspect he's also pretty squished on budget right now so I'm sure that's not helping him. But I definitely agree with you I hope he can start to have a more stable and quick upload time pretty soon, and I also do hope that he will start showing us more of just his everyday life, but I don't know if that's really what he has in mind for this channel. Either way I'm just glad he's not on some sort of giant hiatus until he gets the shop built that would suck!😂
Can't wait for the shop to be fully operational and the first project to start!
When Will mentions Isaiah: "hey, he stole Alec's videographer"
Like 10sec later: "well, I spose he didnt have a lot to film at the other workshop" 🤣
I think Isiah still occasionally takes photos in Alecs shop every now and then for the Instagram account and AlecSteelCo, even though he seems to have been poached by Will now
I'm so glad the lathe got into the shop in one piece
Hate it when my corners have bad vibes 😂
Nothing better than a shop building series and some Will Stelter
One weird thing about this is how nice it feels.
Alec's channel has become a bit chaotic and over the top, which I like but I never expected to enjoy this this much more.
Perhaps because it's more relatable. I don't have a shop or anything but I want to one day, and seeing you set up your own just gives me this very cozy feeling.
Thank you, looking forward to more!
Welcome back Will, you have been missed by your UA-cam family
Keep at it Will!!!
Put a list of what you need I’d bet a bunch of us would love to help you out
YOU ARE BACK!!!
Edit: That bane joke was pure gold.
"Let me know all the things I did wrong down in the comment section, I'm sure there's plenty of them" I laughed way to hard at that. You're a good dude Will, don't let them get to ya bro.
Keep the dog and scenery cuts coming. The dog adds extra entertainment and we want to watch that scenery change with the seasons
If you start each video off like that, and we get to watch Marty age with each new video until he's fully grown, that would be lovely.
We all love you, who you are and how you do things. Just keep on doing things.
Me when I see a new Will Stelter video: omg omg omg it's happening! Honey! It's happening!!
Watching you roll that lath in reminded me of when I use to help my father and grandfather store boats away for the winter. We had 3" pipe filled with concrete for rolling into the boat house, and 1" pipe that we would put under the 3" pipe to move sideways. Great video Will, thumbs up.
First project you need to do is an automatic dog ball throwing machine to keep the dog busy while you concentrate on other projects 😀
Just keep plugging away at things and people will come along for the ride. I don’t know if you’re getting help on the editing of videos or not, but you’re already developing a vibe of sorts. The music is excellent and matches your more rustic location. Excellent, Will!
6:35 Will launches the ball nearly into orbit. Both thinking: Well, f...
The shop is going to be huge and amazing. It's pretty obvious the dog is really in charge.😀
Throw the ball, go for rides, new stuff to sniff, throw the ball!
When Will unloads equipment does anyone else have flash backs to the power hammer 🔨, anxiety level 1 million
Glad to see you back, Will.
The whining noise sound effect made me spit out my drink 🤣
Celebrate the new shop with an awesome piece of Damascus. So glad to see you back. Can't wait for your first project.
Have to say, I’m massively relived you decided to start a channel to go with your new shop. It’s been awesome watching you work for the past couple years, I look forward to what projects come next!
Haven't even watched the video yet and I'm hyped he's back!
I'm 49 seconds in and same.
You didn't make your shop heavier... With those new LED's, you made it lighter.
Reminds me of the lathe I learned turning on, except it had been made for the US Navy during WW2 and used an actual Jeep transmission as a gearbox... it was a Beast.
Will, our Man, it's really nice to see you back in the saddle. And damn the music is spot on! Really nice editing! This is how I like my smithing channels. Good music, good work and goodWill. Pun oh-so-intended.
So excited that you posted! My husband and I have been waiting for a while!
I was beginning to think that you had forgotten us; it's been so long.
Will... I think I speak for everyone when I say... we needed to know how many wheelbarrows it took to fill that hole! I was waiting for you to be, like, “and that was 137 barrows full,” but you just went on to other clips haha... remember, we enjoy simple details like that, and it gives a “wow” moment. We love you, your content will improve with time 👌🏼
Your unique outlook on video titles is a welcome addition to the Tube..
And your editing is totally there. Just keep doing this.
So happy to see you again.
The vaulted ceiling is the main cause of the echo, include the ceiling that to lessen the echo. Great video, continued success.
Seeing him in the forge reminded me of one of my professors.
As a young men he worked with his father re-lining crematoriums. One day his father closed the door while is won was inside.
My professor loved his father but I do not thing he ever forgave him.
You did everything good, well and proper in one go, at once. We expect nothing less. What an amazing location!
I was just talking about you with my buddy, then what do you know... A Video!! Awesome!
This is better than a bottle opener... 😏😎
🥳✌️
Very cool! Loved the opening shot and the dog time... keep including stuff like that.
That lathe looks like a beast!
Driving up the snowy mountain passes of "North America". So specifically vague. I have never heard it said that way before and it gave me a good chuckle.
Playing catch with the dog is the best.
"the *bane* of my existence"
"Of course!"
Man that’s a super cool shop!!!! Beautiful views to boot.
Your not joking. That place is a dream.
Hi Will, glad to see you got the shop properly weighted. Winter storms shall leave the shop in place and order.
Hope your foundation is strong enough. Your channel shall grow and your content shall touch many more!
Helter Stelter! I’m so glad you didn’t leave the greatest country in the world. Your footage of the skelping of the forge from what was Alecs shop.
Glad to see you making content Will! Curiosity has me wondering is Alec closing his Montana shop down?
Wish you the best keep the videos coming!!! Even Vlogs from you will keep us wanting more from you!!!!
Yessss!! I've been praying for this day for a month!!! Lol
ME TOO!
Keep the content coming. Even if you think it's boring, or lame, post it. Let us decided if it's good content or not. It is great to see your shop coming together. Won't be long and you'll be forging knives.
Glad to see you finally setting up the shop. Looking forward to seeing you actually making something again! We’ve missed you.
DO IT! keep it up. you inspire me so much dood!
WIIIIIIIIIILLLL MY BROTHER FROM ANOTHER MOTHER!!!! WHERE THE PLUCK HAVE YOU BEEN GOOD SIR!?!?...love you ^^
I have to say I REALLY like where this channel seems to be headed. Not a criticism on either of you but this video felt like something that I've been missing from Alec's channel without knowing; just some chill vibes and letting the task at hand tell the story. I'm super excited to see where things go from here!
Great to see you back in the shop!
It was awesome to meet you in TX. Keep us posted on your future knife show visits...I would love to see your work in person.
That's some pro grade video Will.
eyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! welcome back Will!
It's best not to focus on the negative aspects of the videos and more about the positive ones, Will. Like the fact that you put up a new video, pilfered the old shop, have some fun new equipment and a solid foundation for the power hammer. I think that alone will make things better for you, the future and the channel.
Gotta say, the production quality has improved noticeably! Keep the videos coming!
It seems odd that alec wouldn't let you know about the free forge first before everyone else.
Will and Alec forever in my heart😢😢❤️
So true so true😪😪😪
Polar opposite in mine. So great to see Will out on his own and not having to put up they irritating twat Alec anymore.
What’s wrong with Alec????
@@commonsense7754 🤣
@@commonsense7754 I agree with you. It always seemed to me like Alec treated Wil poorly and like Wil is inferior.
Love the American Pacemaker. We had one at the plant I used to work at, and only one person knew how to run half of the machine. We used it for turning ceramic instead of metal, but the cutting feed was giving issues. I found the original manual online, and taught them how to run it properly.
And now I want one for myself.
Love the laid back formula of your videos. You definitely have your own style, and I really like it!!
Will's doggo is almost as cute as he is :3
Hey Will it’s good to see you again buddy,
We have missed you,
Alec Steele is so not the same without you dude,
So it’s good to see you putting out some content mate, Thank you.
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
With him going back to the UK and selling his forge, I am guessing Alec is not coming back. Will and Alec were a great team, complementary skills and personalities.
@@pauldevey8628 The forge will got from alex was unused and had been sitting dormant for well over a year. That was not the shops only forge. It was basically clutter.
It's funny, cause ya want more Will. Then you get a video, and it's perfect. Get your fill, and a good video.
Welcome back Will. It’s good to see that your still kicking it. Best of luck with your shop and UA-cam endeavors. 😎
Dang, 10 seconds. Earliest I've ever been to anything. Glad to see you uploading again, Will!
I’m not worried about how long you took between updates. There’s a bunch of people commenting “the biggest thing you did wrong” who don’t run a shop or a UA-cam channel.
Nobody is guna forget you after you spent two years keeping the redhead Brit tied down to reality, you got flexibility, I think
Full ceiling DIY sound panels and extra lighting would be sick and make a cool video to watch too 🤙
This almost feels like when Alec moved from Barker Street to the new/old/new UK workshop. I miss his Barker Street days, but I have a feeling this channel is going to feel a lot like that. I'm excited for more regular uploads.
Wow your shop really is in the middle of nowhere, huh?
Never clicked so fast on a notification!
It is really good to see you again Will. I hope things are going well for you as you continue to work on your dream. It doesn't mean much, but I rooting for you!
All the way from Denmark (Europe) I cheer for you and awaits your videos.
Great to have you back :-)
"What do you do when it snows?"
Me: "I stay home."
Will: "I buy heavy machinery."
That's pure practical physics: Heavy things will weigh less due to shrinking in the cold, but also move easier when it's slippery....
@@samuelbhend2521 That slippery line was excellent. :-D
i am a vet on a disability income who enjoys your videos. just dont forget regular subscribers are who got your sub count where it is, thats what a lot of makers forget. thanks Will
Thank-you for your service.
That’s a good looking lathe. It is nice to see it has found a good forever home.
Your shop is the dream dude.
And you've got a quicksand tan Taco like me.
You've earned yourself a new sub.
throughout the entire cage building all i had going through my head was the house building theme from Red Dead
First
Only mistake I saw was the 1 month layover since the last video 😛.
I'll be honest, between Will & Alex, it's ALMOST enough to get me interested in forging.
Looking forward to the next video. Be safe & have fun!
Glad to see your life is moving forward strong after working with that funny English dude
Can't wait to see you making some fine knives. Don't wait so long to post. We miss your work!!!
Honestly Will I just like watching you for your personality so If you started to release vlog-type videos in between build videos I wouldn't mind.
You know I’m not going to lie at first when I heard will was leaving the old Alex workshop. I was wondering how all this was going to work. But then after seeing this video it reminded me and showed me why I love will to begin he is such a hard working and determined person that can’t i anything he sets his mind to.And with that the worry was gone. Good luck will I love to see what’s in store in the future. I will support you with all of your decisions!
So fun to have more updates on your shop! Don’t be afraid to put out some more vlog style content, 50 percent of the reason most of watch is your personality!
P.S.
Your work is amazing!
It's very nice to see your shop coming together piece by piece!
you did everything right man! not many people would pour a slab like that and looked like nice strong dry concrete! Great Job and great video!
Make more videos!!! Shoot for the less perfect and go for the real life in Will Workshop! Dude your stuff rocks. Love the shop in the middle of what seems like nowhere. Great video man!
Holy crap, that dog is adorable.
Can't wait for more content, Will! Loved your work on Stelter Vs Steele!
I like that press. It looks just perfect for a small shop.
Glad to see you're still making videos Will. Welcome back.
Hi Will! Great to finally see you. I’ll be enjoying taking this trip with you !
Couldnt be happier to see you getting your feet under you ans turning from and empty building to a cozy mountain top smithy. Reminds me of skyrim and I cant wait to see it fukky covered in snow with you forging away.
Glad to see you are still making videos. Good luck with your new adventure, stay safe young man.
Always a pleasure to see new content from you Will. We all wish for more videos but only because we enjoy seeing you make things. As and when the shop is how you want it I'm sure you will have time to make more.
Your videos are great, your humor is on point! Dont be afraid to post more often it will help attract more veiwers and you get more comfortable doing it too. Greetings from MN!
Super glad to see you back. Can’t wait for more regulate content when you get up and going! Really enjoy the channel. !
