Wow I can’t believe this is on UA-cam now. When I saw it in my freshman year at Brown I immediately fell in love and it is now my favorite musical I’ve ever seen…
This is easily one of the best recordings of this show I've ever seen. I love this so much and it's hard to share musicals with friends without hoping it's performed near them. I will definitely be sharing this link. Thank you to whoever made sure it was so perfectly recorded.

Thank you for sharing! This was an amazing performance and it has helped me rethink so many aspects of this show. The Diana-Dan-Natalie trio moments were stunning to say the very least. Bravo to everyone who was involved!
I always see the term "chaotic bisexual." What is the difference between a chaotic bisexual, a normal bisexual, and is there an orderly bisexual? I just ask because I don't have any idea how people define these kinds of things.
I would love to watch this video with my mom, but her English isn't good enough to only go on sound. If I can, I would like to add subtitles to this video based on the script. Is there any way I could do this?
Yup, he was the original Gabe! And Aaron as Enjolras in Les Miserables was the reason I discovered Next To Normal in the first place! ❤ He is so awesome.
Superboy and the invisible girl was good until Gabe joined, then it sounded like he was yelling the lyrics, drowning out Natalie. Other than that, pretty good production
In his defense, that's a deceivingly difficult part to sing. Gabe's a really tough role, not just emotionally, but vocally. He regularly has to hit A#s and Bs like they're nothing, and usually in a harmony which makes it even harder. I'm actually currently having to debate whether or not to take the role in a production of the show because I'm not sure my voice can handle it.
yes, the actor for Gabe did amazingly! We can't really critique his voice because who knows how tired his voice is already from doing this very difficult show vocally for who knows how many nights. I do hope he wasn't "yelling" if it's damaging to his voice, but I think it fits for the role because he's supposed to drown out her voice. And yes, hitting those notes night after night and not having a head voice anymore, he may have had to yell out some notes, but he did so well with making it his own!@@reeselemaster2316
@@Mo_Speckleblitzthis! That in even her own damn song she can’t escape the overwhelming power Gabe holds over the entire household. She’s just as much in his grasp as her parents are.
this set design is so genius
I love productions of Next To Normal where the psychopharmacologist is a women. It brings a new meaning to the whole part with the label.

whoever played Dan was amazing! Everyone was really good but I really feel like he blew it out of the water

Temma's performance of "I Miss the Mountains" gave me chills.
This whole show gives me chills. The message. The cast. Every time I find a performance, pure chills. I love this story so much.
Awesome performance, the set design in this production is nothing short of brilliant! Very creative way to separate the scenes!
This has inspired me to direct Next To Normal for my spring musical.
Congrats!!
I love this production - and it's nice to see a well produced and well recorded version.

This is fantastic! It is hard to believe these are students.
Having a woman play Dr. Fine makes Diana into a chaotic bisexual and it's pretty amazing

POV: you’re here because you know that Enjorlas was in this play (yes I know his names Aaron Tveit)

It fits thematically though, since the song is literally about him overshadowing her

Ok I love this and I'm kinda ashamed to say I came from riverdale
Omg same
glad to see you here 😀
Wait. Riverdale used this musical???
@@brighidcampbell491 yeah in season 5 I think
@@brighidcampbell491Yes Season 5 Episode 18 Next To Normal.
Am I the only one who found out about this via riverdale?
