Holdsworth has suffered from horrible reoccurring concussion symptoms since the incident, and tj still hasnt apologized or even acknowleged he was in the wrong. Tj’s stubbornness is what made his shoulder problem worse, had he not fought and went to get it checked out he’d still be fighting but he just couldn’t let that title shot go.

    ngl, Aljo is one of the worst champions ever. won the belt on a DQ, fought a one armed fighter and then a retired flyweight. Sean O'malley is annoying but I thank god this awful reign is over. Prime TJ with two working arms would've made light work of him

    • @jocoolshow
      @jocoolshow 2 місяці тому +2

      Aljo most likely still cooks a Prime TJ. People forget that TJ wasn’t one armed when the fight started and that Aljo took TJ down based off of a kick TJ threw that Aljo caught. And it’s pretty consistent that everyone Aljo takes down either loses the round or the entire fight based on that 1 takedown

      he is boring yes, but he took the rematch with yan without complaining and WON? Ppl call him a fake champ but its not like he did anything wrong really. Look at Anthony Smith, he did the "honourable thing" and now jones is known as the goat and smith is a gatekeeper whos washed af. Aljo rematched for the belt and was up good. I do think his fights arent the most exciting but idk why he gets SO much hate

    I honestly think it's lame whenever people make strategies based around targeting injuries that did not occur due to the fight itself. Like specifically attacking someone's knee when you know they have knee problems like targeting Conor's shin when he comes back, in my view, is pretty dishonorable and something that I wish didn't happen and was shamed. I understand, obviously it's a fight, but "Kick his left arm" like really, show us you're the better fighter; he's already at a big disadvantage anyway before you specifically target it for exploitation.

    • @OctagonWarrior
      @OctagonWarrior  2 місяці тому +17

      I get what you mean , really. But like his corner said , it’s no mercy in there . It would honestly be stupid to not target an injured area . And best believe if the shoe was on the other foot , TJ would’ve taken advantage .

      I get the "honor" aspect, but MMA isnt like "martial arts" the way we think of it.
      There's a reason most of these guys are called "fighters" and not "mixed martial artists" lol
      They just tryingnto win fights and get money, esp in the UFC. Maybe if it was ONE Championship, or sparring in the gym they'd be more considerate of not attacking the injury.
      But it's a title fight and TJ is gonna be coming w the full force of all 3 available limbs. He's not gknna hold back, even if he is injured. Why should I hold back for his benefit? And risk losing to a guy with one arm?
      I see bith sides, but obviously the decision-making is gonna lean towards wnning/keeping the belt than preserving your opponents health

      @@OctagonWarriorI'm just saying that's the way I think it should be, not like I don't understand that TJ, of all people, would probably act the same. The same people criticizing what I said are the same people who probably were mad at Aljo for taking the illegal knee DQ because it's "dishonorable". That's pretty hypocritical in my eyes.
