- This is a video that shows you how to offline transfer your Siemens-software license key, between two computers. This is also the metod used by Siemens support to give you your license back, if you loose it.

I opened automation license key. But it was empty. I selected license key option for offline transfer. But there is no option to select "generate start code".
I see your video where you open new screen which icon color is yellow. Where do i get it??

To my knowledge it should be applicable to both :-)

@@vaniapatricia5372 No i havent tried it have you talked to Siemens support ? but i i was you i would try to select the license and se if i could generate a start code if its possible you should be able to transfer it

me as a german and former student of HCI am constantly tilted out of my mind of the stupidity of this software... it's just a way to sell more licenced (and completely overpriced) courses to learn how to deal with something this user-unfriendly

I would contact Siemens support they helped me when I accidentally deleted my one of my license.
generate start code is inactive by me, what should I do?
Are you trying to receive or send a license becuase the person who is sending the license is the only one can should use the generate start code meaning if you lost your license and contact Siemens support you will receive a start code from them. I hope my reply makes sense.
@@marcbrndstrup6905 Thank you for your reply. generate start code will be active to select, once you transfer the Key to your C drive. that was the solution.
I tried to generate start code from the USB stick, and it was not possible.
sir, i got a Simatic step7 5.5 software from my friend i had installed the trial version which has validity has completed . i saw u r video by that why had tried but in that the generator start code is inactivate . so, please help me to solve the problem .
You need to changefrom "licenced key" to "Search results". There is a drop down meny bar on top between "log view" and "define view" icon
