My friend passed a few years ago due to cancer. I also had it as well. We met in the hospital and instantly became best friends, we knew each other for a few years, then one day she didn’t respond.. You never really forget the first real love of your life, It makes it even harder to find someone else when you lose them. Tbh, I don't really want to find anyone else because I'm afraid, a heart broken is like a silent scream into the void, and every time I thought I found someone else I felt scummy, I felt disgusted with myself and stopped myself, because It felt like I was trying to replace her or find her in someone else and that to me didn't feel right, and I still have nightmares about it, and I don't know if I could go through that pain again.
