The first match - literally two days ago I had a skull merchant game and 2 of my teammates gave up instantly and killed themselves. The person playing skull merchant felt so bad that they let me and the Dwight farm and do gens. Even if they hadn’t let us farm and whatever, there’s such an issue in this game with entitlement ON BOTH SIDES. Skull merchant sucks to go against, yes, but your teammates are counting on you help them. Help as much as you can. If you REALLY don’t want to play against one, just DC and let the bot help.
See this perspective but I gotta disagree. Fully agree that neither side owes the other a fun game. That being said, if the current game is very unfun then why is any one person obligated to stay in it and give it their all for the entire duration? Obviously there are bad examples of this, if someone gives up against a normal wraith then that is quite stupid. But skull merchant is so mind-numbingly boring to go against that I think it's fair that most people would want to go next and that it is frankly kind of petty to slug them as punishment for wanting that. It's not the fault of the player playing any given killer if it sucks for the other side, it is the dev's fault which is why you're seeing her get yet another big update. I feel like a lot of these issues could be solved by removing dc penalties
the problem is that some ppl have limited time to play. Because they can maybe only play at evening but can't play too long cuz they gotta get up early or whatever, let's say they have 1-2h to play. The average match is ~15 minutes. That's not a small amount of time. Using a big portion of your time playing a match you have no fun in, that maybe even makes you upset/mad is just stupid. People play for fun and are not obligated to play a match they don't enjoy. It's not a job. We keep saying "It's just a game!" When someone gets mad but apply that logic to yourself. It's just a game -- they don't have to participate in a match vs a killer they hate

I personally don’t DC a lot or try to avoid it unless the match is REALLY bad, but in this specific match the two players who gave up were only playing for about 30 seconds to a minute. I personally don’t think that’s enough time to know how someone plays, so to me it seems like they heard her chase music and just decided right then and there to give up which is why it made me cringe a bit. But I do agree that in the end, this is a developer problem
They could make her radar girl (no drones) and there's a subset of survivors that would still give up immediately against her. I swear there's a stupid amount of people who play this game who won't be satisfied unless she is deleted from the game.

DbD has the issue where there's no competitive/casual split. so even rank 1 has the issue where you either are gonna get slapped by teams playing super sweaty or dominate people that are just trying to have fun, that's the nature of the game. He was playing an optimal build, but in no way was he playing it like the old builds people used to run where they'd hold the game hostage for hours. Playing against someone with an optimal build is no reason to get salty. Just DC and eat the penalty and write on the forums how unfun of an experience it is and hope they actually just tweak the killer and/or perk. Problem is that it's reached a near impossibility to make this game balanced. I mean they've tried, but failed hilariously.

the last few times ive played as survivor against skull merchant, my ENTIRE FUCKIN TEAM dcd the second they realized, then got mad in endgame chat when the killer decided to farm with me and let me have hatch :/
IDK why killers get so upset at that. Afterall it's the only real way for survivors to defend themselves besides perks. Though survivors get just as salty when you bring perks they feel unfair lol.

End of the day it's really no ones fault, but when i play survivor im not going to go out of my way to belittle some dude for trying too mindgame a loop while i have 3 meta perks and a camera too see around walls
I’ve been playing for 6 1/2 years and I really don’t know how anybody takes this game seriously. I get some “gg” messages afterwards. Ironically, for the first time in like a year yesterday, I played as a nurse and I got a message saying “ oh you’re just targeting people I get it” Made no sense.
That dredge game was actually insane i wouldnt even get mad I'd genuinely send a message complimenting for even getting all that from the worst totem spawn 😂😂😂

@droog101 Those kill stats, by the way, came out before nerfs to many of the meta slowdown perks and are just an average. They ignore matches with a DC, but not ones where people just give up on hook. Same reason why Skull Merchant had the highest kill rate according to those stats. The reason BHVR chooses to balance around a 60% kill rate is because before that, matches were all very all-or-nothing. Either everyone got out, or no one did. Comebacks were pretty much non-existant, and it was a pretty terrible time to play killer. As long as there is no separate queue for SWF and solo players, the game is going to be harder on solos. That's just a fact of how the MMR system works.

After seeing so much in game behavior, and post game chat like the Nic, and Clown, I’m pretty much convinced, at this point, that the DBD devotees consist of more people with mental illness than almost any other online game community. When you factor in COD and LOL, that’s really saying something.

I don't know, but whenever I'm suggested videos from this channel, it's about toxic people and then making fun of them. Whether that's better is something everyone has to answer for themselves. I watched one or two videos and quickly recognized the business pattern. It's not worth my time or a subscription.I like the positive things and don't see the relevance or added value to my gaming experience if I get upset about ordinary people I don't know personally. But a lot of people seem to be very interested in this, for whatever reason.

I had a game just like this the other day. First time on dredge in a while, got the desert map, and had an all hex build. I think I was doing the archive for downing survivors when they have an active affect you have given. Anyway, lost all my totems off rip as usual, but my devour which was in the main building. THEY never found it, so I got to five stacks and I SWEAR I did a backflip bc I was def losing that game up to that point. End up moiring them all.

They should allow you to "Random Killer/Survivor" IN DBD Basically you go into a menu where you setup specific pre-sets for every single killer/survivor you have (if you want to use the random mechanic) and you you click the question mark when your picking either killer or survivor. At the end of the match, it should show that you have a badge that says "This X or Y randomed their character this game" It would be so amusing with how peoples entitled and nasty attitudes are when they realize that you didnt even willingly pick what youre playing. Especially when they cant prove your a "mainer" 😂

Anyone who doesn't cheer or even change their mind - which is certainly possible in human development - is a "villain"? I don't know, but whenever I'm suggested videos from this channel, it's about toxic people and then making fun of them. Whether that's better is something everyone has to answer for themselves. I watched one or two videos and quickly recognized the business pattern. It's not worth my time or a subscription.I like the positive things and don't see the relevance or added value to my gaming experience if I get upset about ordinary people I don't know personally. But a lot of people seem to be very interested in this, for whatever reason.

This is even made more comical when the player their whining at played in the most “casual” way. No scummy tactics or perks people look down upon. Just a simple round of DbD.

The second game was what I like to call... A PERFECT GAME!
I had a game just like this the other day. First time on dredge in a while, got the desert map, and had an all hex build. I think I was doing the archive for downing survivors when they have an active affect you have given. Anyway, lost all my totems off rip as usual, but my devour which was in the main building. THEY never found it, so I got to five stacks and I SWEAR I did a backflip bc I was def losing that game up to that point. End up moiring them all.

The perk for jumping out of lockers and stunning is head on, it's a Jane perk. The ds stands for decisive strike, a Laurie perk
I think salt is normal in every game. It's normal to get upset, but what you do or say is what people should be judged upon.
They should allow you to "Random Killer/Survivor" IN DBD
Basically you go into a menu where you setup specific pre-sets for every single killer/survivor you have (if you want to use the random mechanic) and you you click the question mark when your picking either killer or survivor. At the end of the match, it should show that you have a badge that says "This X or Y randomed their character this game"
It would be so amusing with how peoples entitled and nasty attitudes are when they realize that you didnt even willingly pick what youre playing. Especially when they cant prove your a "mainer" 😂
