Animation takes time, it can damage your mental health and it requires a lot of focus and effort. And after releasing episode 1, I’d want to take a break aswell 🤦🏾♂️
It doesn’t matter where he’s been for the past year, as long as he’s alright and able to work on the show

With all due respect how do you even know that he wasn't doing anything he's a human just like you and me..yeah he most likely been working on this but he has every right to take a break as long as he needs to make animation.. he shouldn't be peer pressured by fans.
I can agree with the comments above me. Yes it takes time and don't forget he doesn't have a large studio to create a constant flow of creations of this level of quality, plus making sure that the members of his cast: the animators and voice actors did the job right.
So our beloved show could meet our expectations and not become an empty shell compared to his previous creation. (Episode 1 bubble bass arc for reference) I do apologise if my words upset someone.
