Beautiful filming and fun interaction with the gray seals! :-) Amazing how friendly and curious they are. Lundy Island seems like a nice place. Congratulations!
Yes, absolutely - I’d highly recommended seeing it for yourself. What I’ve shown in the video really is a snapshot of what it looks like, but to experience it yourself is honestly amazing 😻
Yes, absolutely incredible…. Been back many times since then too - it’s always a joy to see them and interact with them so closely. If it’s on your list to do, go for it.
Absolutely cracking Daniel - the new kit worked a treat. I’ve always wanted to dive with seals but haven’t had the chance yet : they are so curious and playful. Thanks for the upload.
Yes! Often the visibility can be much worse - we had some good days! But every dive is different, so some days could be better or worse vis. Thanks for watching 👀 👌🏼
Hi there - the equipment I used is in the description above, but here too:- Panasonic GH5s camera Nauticam NA-GH5V Underwater Housing Nauticam WWL-1 wide wet lens Nauticam CMC-2 macro lens The seals were mostly at depths of around 2m-10m and the shots were taken over two sunny days, so the ambient lighting was perfect 👌🏼
@@flashbacktv2010 The Nauticam WWL-1 is a wide angle wet lens that you can add / remove underwater. It also has zoom through capabilities and is optically corrected for underwater. It's probably best if you speak with your local Nauticam dealer to get more definitive answers to your questions. Good luck 👍🏼
Hello! I used a Panasonic GH5s camera in Nauticam NA-GH5V Underwater Housing with Nauticam WWL-1 wide wet lens some shots were taken using the Nauticam CMC-2 macro lens and the aerial shots were taken on a DJi Mavic Air 2 Drone
June to End of September, for best sea conditions and sightings, however there are approx 180 resident grey seals at Lundy island, so sightings are almost always possible.
Уже не пераое видео, где тюленей, кроме камеры🙂 очень интересуют ласты дайверов. Собственно, из всех дайверов только ласты и интересуют😂 что это значит для них?
I must live on this island. My last name is Lundy. So I can reign as Queen of Karens and Queen of Lundy. And become a true selkie, swimming with seals everyday. If you live on this island, marry me. I'm Irish. I'm not joking about this either lol. I currently live on Vancouver Island, Canada but the Island of Lundy is where I obviously am supposed to be.

Thank you 🙏🏼 I’d highly recommend it - one of the best dive experiences going.
Lovely video. Met the seals the other day. You are helping me to relive the experience. Thanks!!!
Excellent, thanks Thomas - I’m so pleased!
They provide such great interaction 🦭🥰. Hopefully you’ll be with them again soon 👌🏼
@@DanielFrench The best thing is that actually want to hang out with people. They were so curious and adorable. Glad I am not a fish tho.
Yes agreed! Some of my favourite dives ever have been with those beauties 👌🏼
Just have to love the sea
Absolutely! Nothing better than being up close with nature in its own back yard!
So true. Started diving earlier this year - best decision ever

Awesome footage man. Need to dive Devon one day. Always love diving with seals at the Farnes.
Thank you 😊 I’d love to do the Farne islands sometime soon - Lundy was such an incredible experience. Hope you manage to get there sometime 👌🏼
@@DanielFrench Cheers mate. Yeah you will need to check out the Farnes at some point.
And Bermuda 🇧🇲 too! 🤘🏼
@@DanielFrench 100% and technically still UK diving
I must go there, looks great. Beautiful animals
Yes everyone should - it’s a very special and interactive dive that’s for sure
Would love to join you when I'm next back in the UK
Looks great, but is it normal for visibility to be that poor? Or is that just because it is in a shipping channel?
Yes! Often the visibility can be much worse - we had some good days! But every dive is different, so some days could be better or worse vis. Thanks for watching 👀 👌🏼
What kind of lens did you use? I'm curious what to bring when i go to this place.
Really great that ambient light was enough for those shots.

Is there sharks hunting them?

between a fish n a dog
The name for a seal in German is “Seehund” which translates in a roundabout way as “sea dog”
