I love their relationship because Alex has been through so much in his life and all because he cares so much about the people he loves. He is so used to being the one that takes care of people or loves them unconditionally. Charlie is a good break from that for him. He is finally letting someone else take care of him and someone who loves him despite everything that he has done. He really found someone who can kind of take the reigns of the relationship but also be so aware and caring about Alex’s feelings. They really compliment each other well.

I literally haven't watched this show since season 1, but this is one of the only storylines that could tempt me to catch up, just so I understand this video, because this is so sweet and beautiful!
I started watching this series and thinking they had crossed a red line sometimes. I have finished the series thinking they have broken moulds by showing realities that exist but that no one had shown before. And they have been shown beautifully and in a very natural way as they are. I loved this show in spite of the sad moments. I cried, I felt love, I felt empathy, I saw myself in some scenes... can't ask further.

I have watched this a LOT. It is so heartwarming. I do not mean just from Alex and Charlie . I mean you can see the love and acceptance from friends and family. This is what love is unconditional. That is what makes me cry not it being romantic scene but love showing through others.
I had my chances when I was young, but I wasn't ready or didn't feel it was the right guy, then as I got older I just got used to being on my own and accepting that fact, and then as I got even older, I went through a longing and then a panic stage, a crisis, and then that went away, and now I've just got comfortable on my own, and kind of think it's too late now. But, everyone deserves that great romantic love, for all it's worth, and whatever it teaches you, and the intimacy, the support, the caring, sharing, and the companionship. Some of us achieve it, some settle, and for others it's a lesson on being able to be with yourself and making the best of it. There's family members, friends, travel, careers, books, sports, hobbies; a lot of things to keep you occupied. You can still live a fulfilling life. We live for experiences and relationships, and they come in all shapes and sizes. If we live with compassion and empathy, along with appreciation, we can be happy. Okay, that's enough philisophy for one day.
it's never too late. I hope you find love someday. I believe that we, as humans are made to be loved and to love. It's not a choice. It's essential. Like breathing. And we all get hurt and disappointed sometimes. But it is so worth it. Please, don't give up on love...
