Ok, one other BIG issue. I can not get the FFB settings to save. I can adjust them, but they return to a default after every stage I reset them. I hit the confirm key before leaving the Force & effects page.
Where you have keyboard I have also my Fanatec wheel base detected. And I have two profiles. One for tarmac and another for other surfaces. I use different FFB, vibrations and sensitivities for each. The rescaling I think makes the FFB harder as the speed increases.
It might be a bit different because they focused a bit more on getting fanatec gear right as they were an official sponsor. I remember either with wrc 9 or 10 even my fanatec base wouldn't work...lol
@RikySim ok, i wonder if the reason you didn't experience issues is because you are using gear that is well known. I use mostly lesser known gear and many times I experience occasions in games where things aren't recognized properly. The kyloton games have been especially brutal to me and my situation. As I mentioned in the video, the reason I deleted the game in the first place was because the game refused to recognize my gear after some time. The same thing happened with wrc 10 if I remember correctly. This was my solution after all the relentless troubleshooting I did trying different things.
Still impossible to bind my sequential shifter, which is pretty dumb, because my aliexpress arduino e-brake gets detected and works at the same time as my thrustmaster th8a, and my moza r5, 3/4 lol
@arthgc8710 I think the only solution is to map only the sequential if possible and leave the others off. I remember I had an issue where my h-pattern was recognized as buttons 1-7 and one of my sequential shifters i was reviewing was mapped 1 and 2 so everytime I went from 1st to 2nd on the h pattern, the game though I wanted to go from 1st gear to neutral...lol. I think that's on RBR now that I think of it.
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing It doesnt even get detected, alot of people have this issue, there's a post on reddit that teaches you how to use a sequential shifter, but to me its a very tedious process which involves using vjoy and a thing called hidhide, too much of a hassle. I've tried before, to literally disconnect both the th8a and the e-brake, and still the sequential shifter wouldnt get detected.
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing i'd just stick to using paddle shifters atm, i hope the game keeps getting attention and more people into modding it tho, i've always loved kt's wrc stages and ricky is doing a great job with these physics, its always some dude out here in Spain doing something amazing for the rally community!! 🤟
Hey Sleepy! Is it possible for you to create a video showcasing your Vibration and FFB settings? I am kinda stuck and can't figure out why the game feels so buttery when I am on Gravel...
@buklauify I am planning an updated ffb video actually but I am waiting till I fine tune what I have. Mine feels very good right now but I'm obviously unsure how it will feel on other setups.
Is it possible to edit a config file to adjust my FFB settings in game? I was digging around in my documents and steam common areas to find something, but couldn't find anything.
Do you have your steering rotation at just 80° or do you just use the wheel's software for setting it and ignore what it says ingame. I have it at 540° on dirt rally which is perfect but in generations 540° barely turns the wheels........
@SleepyPantsSimRacing cheers for the reply, I don't know what I'm doing wrong, using a thrustmaster t818 but when I put it on 900 it feels like turning a truck😂 540 don't feel right either, feels sluggish, I have to go to 360 and I'm still not quite happy with it, I must have some setting on that shouldn't be on or somethin stupid....👍
@@michaeltobin5 i remember going through similar issues. there is a test function in the controls setup, it only lasts for a few seconds annoyingly but you can fine tune saturation and some other settings there. i assume you have already messed with the rescale function?
@SleepyPantsSimRacing I have tried the rescale but I didn't find much difference to be honest. No worries i will fiddle about with it some more and get it sorted, cheers for the replies, love the content 👍
I Seam to have the problem of my Force feedback is working, and everything elso also works, but i can't bind steering input. when i click test FFB the steering wheel moves as it should, but i just can't bind it and use it, but if i use keyboard input to steer, the steering wheel moves acording to the FFB. I will check when i get home from work if any of this helps for that issue.
@@SleepyPantsSimRacing yeah, didn't make a difference. I have not deleted the presets, and i made a new steering wheel preset when i first got the game. The steering worked as it should when i first launched the game, but i belive i may have changed some settings while playing.
@Spartancat02 Yes, definitely try and delete all the presets you can. If i recall, the game conflicts with itself if you have multiple input setups. I remember one time I had it set up to where every time I'd use a shifter, it would disconnect my steering wheel for a couple of seconds.
No matter what i do this game will not detect my Thrustmaster Handbrake. Right on! Everything to *Keyboard + no rescale on steering inputs. Rock'n some wheel buttons finally.....haaaaa 🕺
It worked for you? :)
@@DouglasThompson Yes thanks so much dude. Now I can use wipers with ease and not crash from looking away from the screens. 😎

After several stages, it seems only the FFB gain setting will stay in place, all the other sliders in the ffb effects revert back to default values.
Omg thank you so much it was so annoying been messing with this game for days trying to get it to work. Turning on main controller did it
Even though there are a few small issues still, this is my fav rally game now. Thanks so much @RickySim!
