watched the whole episode. i and people like me will be forever thankful to you for such an intellectual discussion to be brought in public domain sir. this episode sort of sealed the gates of doubts about what should i do with the rest of my life. i have decided to start studying again ( because i have completed my studies and am a nurse by profession) becuase earlier whatever i studied was due to all sort of compulsions. throughout the discussion i felt like the boy in the coffe shop which dr asad mentioned who was baffled by the people who were talking about things that they knew while the boy was just wandering lost. i hope Allah guides me and others on their journyes. may Allah guide all of us and you live a healthy and succeful life sir. thanks again.
Very very important work. I found you in Shaykh Hasan Spiker’s x account and through your effort I came to know of this wonderful scholar. I have been trying to study under Khairabadi scholars for a little bit now. The intellectual strength and logical rigour in their method is something that I have been looking for forever. May Allah bless your endeavours.
Just Amazing! Got motivation to explore the Islamic intellectual history. You just made it happen Mr. Sher Shah! Bring more Giants like him to the Screen for Youngsters. Respect❤
If the audience and the host were amateur, they should not have 25:48 assumed the listeners have some knowledge of basic premises of the discussion. For example, I was struggling what the decline narrative is, in the first place. No background info was presented for the "amateur".
This was actually an interview while I was giving a lecture and the students were aware of the particular excerpt I shared at 25:48. This interview was not intended to be uploaded for everyone to see but only for students of Islamic intellectual history. In the upcoming days, I am going to be having discussions with scholars where Islamic intellectual history will be taught with the intention that the audience may not have even heard of Islamic history at all.
Shershah this was a treat for all of us. Thank you. May I know if an entire mind map is already being constructed which students of knowledge can drive access to and look at it on a daily level to map the different hierarchy of our Islamic Intellectual Tradition?
@@_titanslayer_ Amazing. Most of are still struggling to come to terms with and justifying the right knowledge at the right time and to place them in their proper places. If an amateur student of knowledge who wants to approach the Islamic sciences, we would need to and acknowledge them as a map mind to start our journeys towards our rich Islamic traditions and sciences as truly stated by Shaykh Attās.
