- With a big detour we drive from Dordrecht to Utrecht. On the way, a duck flew right in front of the camera, but I can't remember where. Who sees it first? In front of Schiedam Centrum, the roadside has been pruned and it appears that the track that used to go to the VAM waste disposal still lies there. En route, the Cabview Holland Express is filmed no less than three times by Daanicng: at Rotterdam Blaak, Rotterdam Central Station and Schiphol Airport. Enjoy watching!

Met een flinke omweg rijden we van Dordrecht naar Utrecht. Onderweg vloog er een eend vlak voor de camera langs, maar ik kan me niet meer herinneren waar. Wie ziet 'm als eerste? Voor Schiedam Centrum is er gesnoeid in de berm en daar blijkt nog het spoor te liggen dat vroeger naar de VAM ging. Onderweg worden de Cabview Holland Express maar liefst drie keer gefilmd door Daanicng: op Rotterdam Blaak, Rotterdam Centraal en Schiphol Airport. Veel kijkplezier!

77.5 km/h average end-to-end. That's a pretty decent speed. The action of slalomming over a pair of crossovers has a purpose - but I can't recall what it is called. However, I can't think of a reason for the slalom through Breukelen station. I had to ponder how Daanicng: caught your arrival at Schiphol - then it dawned on me, he must have used the HSL link. Clever planning. Plenty of interest in this one.
Often, slalomming switches is to prevent rust building up which causes the atb system to fail. We call this roestrijden, riding rust.

Het wordt hoog tijd dat ze bij Dordrecht spoor 6/7 dat wissel een keer gaan vervangen. Zal voor jullie (lees: passagierstreinen) niet zo'n probleem zijn, maar ik kwam vd week met een trein van bijna 2000 ton/600 meter vanaf de Kijfhoek en toen moest ik toch ff in de ankers door die "tijdelijke" snelheidsbegrenzing naar 60 km/u......

Alohaaaaaaaa Alweer een mooie tour door Nederland. Bij Delft schiet het al aardig op wanneer moeten daar de eerste treinen rijden over het nieuwe spoor?
Het blijft een mooie verschijning om te zien bloembollen velden mooie kleuren.
Damn weer geen eend met de feestdag op tafel :)

Sometimes less is more. When the gentleman making the announcement at Rotterdam Centraal lowered his voice it was less shrill and far more understandable. The amplifier can only produce a limited sound level. Shouting to be heard better does not increase volume; but, it certainly increases distortion. The distortion makes some forms of music "better" to its fans; but, distortion seldom if ever improves intelligibility of speech. That said the announcement in English was nice to hear.

@Ben Chuft The point 5 frame was an estimate from positions of the frame before and the frame after. If time is a quantum phenomenon the time quantum is oh slightly less than a half a frame, 1/60th second. it's probably related to the speed of light over a Planck length and significantly smaller than that time. Aside from being the phenomenon that keeps everything from happening at once we know very little about how time comes to be; but, we can measure it to absolutely absurd levels of precision.
I now return this discussion to sanity.

What a great trip on the might train... almost. But what happens to the train after the passengers get off. It must be the last trip of the day, for you and/or the train?
The train may find itself parked for the night in a handy holding yard or it might go on. The world does not end at 20:10 (8:10 PM). And Vincent will probably be driving a train again after a short break. His last ride of the day will be a trip to Amsterdam, his home station.

@@CabviewHolland Oh en ik wil van deze kans gebruik maken om nog wat te bespreken. Ik heb ook recent geleerd dat je familie bent van Robin. Ik hoop dat het goed gaat met hem. Erg spjjtig dat z'n kanaal "weg" is. Zijn nieuwe kanaal heeft helaas ook geen leven meer. Na wat research kwam ik er ook achter dat hij verhuisd was. Nogmaals, ik hoop dat het goed met hem gaat en als je hem nog spreekt i.v.m. je verjaardag dan mag je gerust laten weten dat hij nog niet vergeten is ;).

Goedemiddag. Mooie video maar ik heb eigenlijk misschien wel een hele domme vraag. Als vrachtwagenchauffeur moeten wij als we gevaarlijke stoffen vervoeren (oranje borden enzo) een ADR certificaat hebben. Nu rijd ik veel langs de Betuwe-lijn en zie daar veel goederentreinen rijden met gevaarlijke stoffen. Moeten jullie als machinist dan ook een ADR certificaat hebben? Gr René
Goeie vraag. Volgens mij niet, maar waarom wij niet en jij wel? Zou je trouwens niet machinist willen worden? We komen tekort..
@@CabviewHolland dank je wel voor je antwoord. Ik wou “vroeger” altijd machinist worden. Maar denk dat ik nu te oud ben. 50 dan wordt het lastig en leren is nooit me sterkste kant geweest.
Heb ik nou begepen dat deze trein maar 1x per dag deze route rijdt? De normale route is Dordrecht-Schiphol-Lelystad. Waarom rijdt deze specifieke rit naar Utrecht?
