Important Note on Loud Sounds -
The highly sensitive microphone is NW facing. The eagles do not hear what we hear when the NW winds are ripping past the microphone. This is something that is being looked into, but it has no effect on the eagles. The sensitivity was set to HIGH to allow us to hear the eaglets BEFORE hatching, as well as numerous other species surrounding the tower.

Watch the American bald eagles at the John Bunker Sands Wetland Center as they raise another generation using their unique nesting structure. It is a safe replica of the energized high-voltage electrical transmission tower they originally used as a nest. Since close monitoring began in 2012, 21 eaglets have hatched and 18 have been confirmed as successfully fledging. The wetland breeding pair and their offspring are contributing to the comeback of one of our nation’s most revered symbols. Thanks to the generosity of donor and eagle lover Kathy D for this livestream camera.
