Building a cnc machine with FluidNC, esp32, Arduino cnc shield

This is just an experiment.
Components:
FluidNC with esp32 and arduino cnc shield
Stepper Motor: Nema17
lead screw: T8 400mm
al profile: 2040 custom length
power supply: 24V, 10A

How do you connect the ESP32 pins to the shield? I have an esp32 and a ramp 1.6 and I want to do the same to control an extruder for a pet recycler. the esp3d tutorial is very good and simple! thank you
