I'm not going to say...or even think...it will "take over" everything else. However, there ARE some absolutely incredible features, which will definitely give them several advantage over the other major manufacturers. Until now, most higher-level NPRC drag racers have been using 3rd-party CF chassis. This will not only be giving those a run for their money, and will (probably) 'steal' since it's their customers...but, I also suspect that Traxxas, Associated, and Losi will be come up with "copies" of some it's these features (as long as there's no 'patent', or 'patent pending').
Yeah I think this is a nice middle ground between the cheaper RTRs and the boutique $800 custom chassis
Nah those companies are all about major profit margins , big corporations there selling 22s for 299 rtr Traxxas had two rtrs for 500 , if losi did anything close it would TLR division and it would be a kit . All those rtr parts are mass produced and pennies for them . Companies like Hobao don't have to make increasing sales or discontinue .

Yeah I'm a big fan. They make some really cool stuff and don't get nearly enough exposure here in the US.
@@DoRC Here in Norway, they basically get no exposure. 😕 Let's hope the inherent quality of the products they make gives them a broader international appeal within the next couple of years. 👍

Nothing looks really nice man I'm about to get into some drag racing I got some batteries in parallel packs on the way from shorty parallel packs I'm about to IV review and checking out so I figured get into a little bit people are using parallel packs for drag racing to write and speed runs into it so I'm going to look into it myself but I think people use parallel packs for a drag racing?
I don't think people use multiple packs for drag racing. They may have in the past but I'm pretty sure most people just use a single pack now. Could be wrong

@@DoRC yes that’s a good possibility. I race outlaw and this could be a good bracket car or better with the right set up. Definitely has some cool stuff but every chassis kit has its limits until you go full pro outlaw stuff. Would I drive one for a bracket class yes I would. A few things I see that will need to be changed
Makes sense. Yeah definitely don't think it can compete with the boutique chassis but I think it's better than most of the other pre-built stuff out there.

Your kinda comparing this chassis to the wrong cars saying it will take over.
Yes its a nice setup but the 3 other chassis that your comparing it to are RTR for ppl to start in no prep dragracing.
I would put this chassis in the mid range class for NPRC kinda with the DR10M
There are a few purposes built chassis that would make this one look like a starter kit.
Like the GFRP Apolo and the R1 DC-1 to just name a few.
That's definitely a good point. I think it sits a little above the DR10M as far as features are concerned but I'm also not an expert in the genre so that's just my thoughts on it.
@@DoRC what about the other manufacturers? GFRP, Fivestar, 57 designs. The cars those manufacturers produce isn't even in the same level. The Apollo by GFRP dominated the 2022 NPRC season.
@@MichiganMinuteman I think those would be considered another step up in both pricing and quality. You're looking at a couple hundred dollars more for any of those chassis than this one is.
I would say the RTR options are kind of low end. This would sit somewhere in the mid-range and then you have the boutique manufacturers on the high end.
Yea no this is still mass produced but using high end materials , should be best dragger you can buy . These knuckleheads trying compare 2 thousand dollar minimum custom builds gthoh.. thing looks great I may get the losi 22 only because it's 299 rtr. and I'd like real version 😆 same with crawling I just dabble with all kinds rc really dint have environments or network to do anything seriously. So I feel no need for high end stuff . Sometimes I'll splurge on 300 brushless system but like I tell my son cost more money to use rcs than any other aspect of the hobby .

Yeah I think it feels a middle ground between the budget RTR cars and the full-on boutique chassis that you can buy. It'll be interesting to see how it does when it gets in people's hands.
What a good way to promote the car that took so long to make then down talk the others lol but hey tbh take my money n send one to me😂
I'm not really promoting the car I just think it's cool. I have no association with the brand whatsoever. I think they make good stuff and it's great to see competition from someone that isn't Traxxas or Horizon.

Advance? If I’m spending 500 I’d spend 100 more and have a full carbon custom works or r1dc1. No battery room. Going to be super heavy. Once set rtr. This car will barely be bought I put 100$ on it
Yeah it's not anybody's hands yet so I don't really know till it's been tested. Street price will probably be a bit less than what they have on their website as it usually is. Looks like the DC-1 is $650 and out of stock. Actually pretty much all of the custom chassis I've seen are out of stock.
So you're probably looking at around a $200 price increase between this and one of those boutique chassis. That's a 30% price increase. It's not a crazy amount but it's not nothing. I would say that this fills a mid-range niche and is better than pretty much any mass produced chassis available. Thoughts?
No. Its going to be way too heavy.
