The interactions between Greg and him just sell their relationship so well, I assumed he was like, the equivalent of a band leader on a late night talk show.
Not enough praise is given to the way multiple contestant's attempts are edited together, one of my favourite editng moments of all time is going from Frank Skinner's "some of them will take 45 minutes to figure out they should be wet" to Romesh's "I should probably have wet them... this is so much better, it's rendered everything we've done up to this point completely worthless".

The absolute defeat on Joe's face devestated me. There has been some blunders on this show but I genuinely got sad at that one. All the build up just to rip him down.
The potato thow is the most heartbreaking event in television history. Everytime I watch it, I'm like "maybe this time his foot won't touch the red green" but then it does and I'm gutted all over again.
"You've gotta admit that was clever" about just putting a tangerine in a sock and picking that one, then bsing your way through all challenges. Greg really was biased lmao
Joe never touched the red. Look at his shoes! They have an upward curve at the toe as most shoes do. I believe his shoe merely hovered above the red, as his hidden athletic talent kicked in to get the maximum advantage for the throw by taking that extra safe inch. It's a shame none of them saw it.
How the potato incident should have been scored: Joe: 5 points, because half of the other contestants agreed to it Richard: +1 point for being a nice person Katherine: +1 point for being a nice person Jon: -1 point for being a selfish jerk, then pretending to support Joe Doc: -1 point for being a selfish jerk, then pretending to support Joe
The problem with the satsuma situation is the fact that in that series, we had 2 very vocal competetive people and one less vocal one not to mention the fact that Rhod was Greg's friend. If Richard Osman did this task series 2 I think it would've been fine. Katherine would just shout "Noooo" of the strike of genius, Jon would look annoyed, Doc would try to talk it out but fail and Joe wouldn't give a fuck.
I live ed listing it (cause that sorry happens to me so the time), I watch this clip in all the different comp vids, it's just amazing, literally makes me cry & get a an ab workout ROFL (& I don't use that term often), his frustration is just awesome! & The fact that Dave knows he's bad cause he gives a little smile when both ed & Greg comment on him. This & where he gets screwed over on the tasks, everyone has it easy & they all cheat/fail, yet Greg messes with him

I really want Joe to bring this up some time, and use it against Jon or Doc. Like maybe they’re on big fat quiz or would I lie to you, and Jon’s telling a lie and when Lee ask Joe what he thinks, he says that Jon’s a lying prick so he knows it’s bollocks.
As many times as I've seen this, it still hurts to watch. Honestly, I am not sure he really "touched" the green because the front part of sneakers/trainers typically are raised off the ground to allow for proper heel strike gait. It looked to me like the toe of the shoe wasn't actually touching the red green. I re-watched that episode while healing from surgery after breaking my foot in more than a dozen places then learning to walk again, so I had far too much time on my hands and the foot at the forefront of my mind.
The worst/best part is when Joe narrows his eyes at the realization Doc didn't vote for him and has the gall to say "That's harsh mate" and it didn't show it in the clip but also his looking back and forth between Jon & Doc like "you utter pr****" as they continue to lie.
I love the little glances between them after the aubergines. Ed just wryly smiling. David glancing at him, then back at the drawing. Ed then at the drawing, face collapses, David looks at him. Such an excellent piece of accidental choreography.
The best thing is that Ed Gamble and James Acaster are good friends, they both really love Taskmaster, they both showed up to their series and were super tryhard, and it completely worked for Ed and didn't work at all for James.

That's what I think every time I see that blurry overhead shot. All we know is that a part of his shoe occluded the red green.
He put most of his weight on the ball of his foot and then rolled forward on it. It's pretty much impossible that it didn't touch.

It also helps that Ed had a good team for his team tasks (and perhaps also that he is friends with Greg outside of the show).
James lost because he teamed up with rhod many time and rhod screw up task on purpose to embarrass Greg or Alex.
