Okay. Here you go. I started listening to you because my son Hunter, then 15, begged me to listen to the left right game. You became a common interest between 2 people who butted heads constantly, and we really bonded over your stories. Hunter unexpectedly passed away a week after his 20th birthday, 6 months ago. Your stories are a balm on my soul, and the only time I can think of him without my heart breaking. But I want you to know he was a huge fan, and a really great person. He donated blood regularly, he rescued every stray cat he ever found, and in the end, he saved 5 lives with his organs. I do not contribute to your income. I listen to you on a free government phone, heck I don't even have his remains because I still owe the funeral home $915. I don't contribute to your income bit even if I did, no amount of money would ever cover those moments of peace. From the bottom of my heart and soul, thank you
Wow I'm so touched, I'm so honored that the videos could be a part of your lives like that, I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what it's like to go through something like that. I hope you're doing okay.
I'm crying after reading this because I feel so sorry for your loss! 😭 I have 2 sons and I could not imagine the pain of seeing one of their lives cut short like that. I hope you find some more peace 🫂🕊️
I started listening to creepypasta after losing my daughter. I read your comment and felt overwhelmed with love for people I've never met. I wish you all the best and I know it doesnt feel like it but time does help... blessings and prayers to you. 💖💖💖💖
This was horrifying. Getting into the mindset of someone who's still sane enough to know they're going to go insane is just... shivers. Excellent job on the narration, as always!
I am struggeling with that. Maniac episodes. Not funny. Not funny at all. Luckily I have the meds to make me come back to reality. My writing shows the horror though...
@@Masanumi I'm sorry you're going through that- bipolar is horrible but I'm so glad you're getting help and that medication alleviates your symptoms a bit. I have lots of bipolar friends having been inpatient so I see you and I know how hard it is. You'll be okay though! So many incredible people have bipolar and continue living wonderful, fulfilling lives. Keep writing, the best artists are ill like us, friend. Sending love ❤
I think this is one of the best stories the channel has narrated. The lack of explanation, the lack of any ability to resist this curse, makes it all the more terrifying. To know with 100% certainty that someday this thing will lead to the loss of your sanity and there is nothing you can do about it gives me an impression of what people with terminal cases or degenerative diseases must live with. Far more terrifying than a monster that goes bump in the night.
The boy in the corner of the eye is the personification of the consequences of being emotionally weak. The main character obviously cannot control or suppress his emotions, evidenced by him starting that fight, so the "boy" took advantage of his vulnerability and took over his life. People who are stoic and can completely suppress their negative emotions cannot be vulnerable because they are a concrete wall, unreadable and unyielding.
I thought it was kinda cheesey, especially in how human reactions were talked about. The story contradicted itself a couple times, having a girl scream at being stabbed and then a few sentences later saying 'i doubt she realized she had been stabbed'. The main character also said 'alpha' a lot, which means that the mc must not know anything about wolves. I dunno if the author did this on purpose to make the mc arrogant, or whether the author actually believes the disproven dynamic
I love the fact you take the time to read everyone's comment, that right there is a good sign that you really do care about the community, I for one will be here for the long run. Also, CAN WE PLEASE get a part two of this story? This was fantastic
Its a cool story but I think the narrator will probs just end it all - there's not really any more development that can happen from here and I personally don't think it needs anymore develpment, but maybe the author has written more... Idk.
This is how living with many mental illnesses feels. Your narration is beautiful. You can feel the pain, the despair...so much despair of inheriting a demon no one can truly understand. Not even yourself. The part where he mentioned being able to survive as long as he medication works really hits home.
You managed to make my 50 year ol coworker cry with the "What happens to a body when it falls off a building" story you have some real talent man, your story building is just insane, keep up the good work
The humblest, and most underrated narrator out there! You alone make my days worth living. JOB worth working… I use your stories, your VOICE as a mental stimulant outlet to get me through the darkest of times so for that I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep up the Amazing work!
I am a 51 year old mother of 3 adult children. I work security. It's nice to have someone read for me for a change, especially while babysitting camera feeds. Thank you. I love your story choices.
You have always been my favorite narrator. Ever since diary of a psychopath. Your voice acting is great, music, SFX are all amazing. Even if you narrate okay stories your production and everything else make them so much better.
Right? I find his voice soothing and I listen in the evenings before bed. I have a few videos that are my favorites but I enjoy listening to really anything from this channel. Always captivating when others lose my attention pretty quickly.
you are my favorite youtuber!!!! i’m in high school and i have relatively bad anxiety, i get easily over-stimulated and overwhelmed, but i have recently found that listening to your videos in the background of lectures or studying or walking in hallways helps me be calm!! thank you so much!!!!!
No matter how many times i listen to this, this story never fails to leave me unsettled... there's something about psychological horror stories like this
After listening to your intro for this story, I wanted to comment. I usually don't because I figure with channels like this, with so many followers, there's no way the creator would see the comment, but I work from home and your channel is a huge part of my daily rotation for stories playing in the background while I work. I have ADHD so working in the quiet is like nails on chalkboard for me. So a big thanks for feeding my horror addiction and keeping me company while I work, your voice is so soothing.
I can't say that I struggle with the exact problem that you do but this channel alleviates my own troubles. Very few truly good things are left on the internet, and this is definitely one of them.
I discovered your stories in Spring 2022, while I was in a bad place. The story: "Because you are my baby" was the first one I ever heard, and to this day it's my favorite, with "The Whistler at 3:03" being a close second. One thing led to another and I started listening to your narrations on Spotify, at the end of the year I had 10682 minutes of playtime with your stories. Thank you for making amazing narrations
I didnt know you took so much time reading comments thats really wholesome of you! This story gives me chills, and you narration made it so much better, thank you for the constant quality content its truly amazing and has helped me more than I could ever express. I wish you the best
since everyone seems to b leaving comments abt how you’ve helped them, here’s mine i have adhd, absolutely cant fall asleep without some sort of distraction and your stories r perfect to fall asleep to. ur voice is the only one that doesn’t start to annoy me after a little bit and w/ your stories i get to sleep in like 20-30 min instead of the usual 1-2+ hours. i’m getting such better rest after finding this channel. youre the most soothing narrator i’ve ever come across & im so glad i found this acct, forever grateful ❤️❤️
As a person that has vision problems, I have experienced silhouettes of people due to blurryness and it terrified me. this story really scared me deep. Great narration !
Firstly, I just want to say thank you. Over the past year, you have become my favorite narrator because of the love, effort, and care you put into every upload. You're definitely the most skilled narrator I've seen in terms of sound design, and your voice is sweet and soft enough that I find myself actually getting frightened by the story, when a lot of other narrators have such a flat affect that it's almost boring. The first video of yours I listened to was "lost episodes can be found again," a year ago, right after i lost my abuelita, when i was a delivery driver making deliveries in Midwest winter. I was drawn to it because the thumbnail included Ed Edd n Eddy, my favorite show that I'd watch religiously with my abuelita. Everything was so dark and hopeless back then, and your channel offered me solace from the real world, and also a place where some things can still be dictated by dreams and imagination and horror. You kept me company every day i was there, when i was by myself in a car for ten hours a day in the snow, and refreshed my love for the moment while alleviating my need to live in the past. Your channel helped me start living again. You are so kind and put so much effort into what you do, i just want to say thank you for being you. To me, your channel is the equivalent of a warm hug, which is ironic since you narrate scary stories lmao, but I just want to let you know that because I'm here for every upload and I'm nothing but excited to see how you'll continue to blow me away with your work yet another year from now. Thank you for being you, because you made my life a little brighter all because i stumbled upon a single video a year ago.
I cant say thank you enough for all these vids. I have been a member for over 2 years and its been amazing. I am in a point of my life where i am almost constantly sad and feel hopeless. But listening to your narrations give me an escape that not much else can. So thank you for the escape, however short it may be. Thanks Ronnie
The sound effects in these videos immerse me in the stories so well... especially onces that move from one side of the headphones to the other. It's that little touch that really sets your channel apart from others for me.
I love your content dude! Thank you for the effort you out into your videos! I especially love the stories like this that are like 25-40 minutes long! Perfect length in my opinion! Have a great day man, and thanks for uploading!
Oh dude THIS is what I’m talking about! Somnium you never fail to impress. This story, to me, felt so deeply personal because it feels like an allegory for mental illnesses. The sinking feeling that nothing will ever be normal again, seeing no way out, just constantly being followed by the personification of dread…it’s terrifying. Excellent choice in story and your emotions really came through! Have a lovely day, Somni 💞
Out of all UA-camrs, you’re the one with the biggest presence in my life. Every night for the past year and a half I’ve fallen asleep to your videos, and lately Romnex too! Please never stop!
I'm typing this after hearing the intro. The new year has been pretty rough and hearing that nearly brought me to tears. It's a little things that UA-camrs do for their community that really mean a lot and I've been watching for a while and I love this community. These stories are amazing and I love them so much I'm so excited to listen to each and everyone whenever they come out or when I get the opportunity to listen to them. Keep up the amazing work love you UA-cam channel love this community hope you're all having a great day.
I can't remember for how long I have been following you, but it's been a few years by now. Thank you for all your hard work that goes into each of your audios! It's so cool to see or rather hear how you've evolved and grown with your editing style and you have been a huge inspiration and influence for my own audio editing. 🧡
since you read the comments, you're genuinely the best narrator i've found on youtube and i think its beautiful that your videos are so good that the whole comment section is consistently filled with support. i like to find joy in the little things and having such a positive space is great to see. keep being amazing and never feel bad about taking breaks 👍🏾
If you see this, I wanna let you know that I listen to your stories every day when I work. There is almost never a cliché or uninteresting story on this channel, and the narration is a big factor. You do a great job picking stories and narrating them. You deserve a lot more subs.
The first story I ever heard you narrate was Campfire. Ever since then, you’re pretty much the only narrator I truly enjoy listening to. You have a way of telling these stories, and I can truly feel the personality of every character through your voice. 😊
Hey I just wanted to say how much your stories have kept me company over the years, honestly in a weird way its like hearing a friend read to me. Youre awesome
I have been watching your videos and listening to your stories for a little over 2 years i believe and you have brought me on a bigger journey then id like to say, your stories have brought me peace in hardship, distraction from sad or loneliness. I just wanted to say thank you, and i cant wait to see where you bring me next. Maybe a different world or universe or maybe a time change or having other things invade our world who knows. All i gotta say is thank you for being such an amazing narrator and story teller
Hey man I’ve listen to you way before you was dark somnium. You’ve actually helped my life out man. I was a alcoholic a few years back and when I went to rehab I didn’t have much so I listened to your stories. My favorite group of stories is the settlements. Those are just down right amazing. The amount of effort you put into a story makes me feel like I’m one of the people experiencing the reality of the story. You keep up the amazing work and effort man. I’ll always be a fan my man.
I really appreciate how you read comments and interact with viewers. I'm usually not the type to leave comments, but ever since you answered a comment of mine I feel more compelled leave one, after all it doesn't feel like posting a message to be buried that no one will see and you essentially are talking to yourself. You're a great narrator and I adore listening to your videos through the day since you're always bring good quality content. Much love from Brazil and keep doing what you're doing
it's so good! I've listened to a lot of them, and I think this one is truly terrifying. Great choice! Love how much emotion you put into the recording By the way, about the beginning of the video, thanks for being so "interactive" with us! People usually stop caring about the comments at about 50-100k. Thank you, and I hope you have a good day/night!
It is awesome to know that you do read through the comments. It shows that you honestly care about your listeners. You are one of my top three. You Nate and Rom were my escapes when I was dealing with the hard decisions I had to make regarding one of my children. My son is the way I found these channels so this is where I went when I needed to find y' support system'. My son now has two years drug free and is expecting his first child. A narrator commenting understand of situation and listeners offering support prayers and stories similar to mine helped me to do the things I needed to do probably save my son's life. You offer more then just entertainment. Love and hugs from Missouri.
Sominum you are by far, THE best narrator on here, you put so much effort and love into making each and every story. And the music you create and attach to each story is so unique and TRUELY wonderful, it makes each story a true experiance. Just amazing my friend. Love your work, wish you a very happy 2023, and I hope it blesses you more than 22 did.
These are the kinds of stories I love The ones where the main character has to live with something paranormal that would be absolutely terrifying to anyone else but is completely normal to them because at this point they’re desensitized to it
I drive for a living, usually boring geo politics and general news, but your macabre videos are somewhat ironically the soothing part of my days that melt the miles away and seem to get me home that much faster. Thank you for all you do.
I love you dark somnium, every day you upload is a very good day. Your music is amazing, your voice is silky smooth, and you usually choose really interesting stories. Everything you do from having multiple voice actors to sound effects and emotional music elevates your narration. You're a true artist, thank you for your work
So glad you are pumping out some stories! You are seriously my favorite creepypasta narrator. Seeing a new video two days in a row is so awesome for me. Keep up the great work!
I absolutely love how humble & down to earth you are ❤ I fall asleep to stories every night, and there’s really no time I’m not listening to your stories honestly. One of my most favorite UA-camrs in this genre 🎉😘
you’re one of my favorite narrators to fall asleep too. i find myself always coming back to finish the story or force myself to stay awake a little longer lol. definitely one of the best!
Hey man! Just wanted to let you know I love your videos and am so glad to see your videos on my feed more often. Over the past 2 years I have fallen down the rabbit hole of creepypasta narrators and have many that I love but there will always be a special place in my heart for my first and favorite! Thank you!
I absolutely love the way you narrate these stories and the voice acting as if you were part of the story along with the many voice actors you have on your videos.
I originally found your channel by accident when scrolling through the waves of scary story videos on UA-cam. The amount of effort you put into making quality and enjoyable videos is really amazing.
I love listening to these stories throughout my work day. I work as a delivery driver so it’s just me and my packages to it helps me get through my day. Plus distracts my mind from my long days. Thank you for making these
Definitely my favorite narrator for my nightly dose of creepypasta and the fact you take time to read the comments from fans says even more. Thanks for doing why you do Mr Somnium
Whenever I feel down (such as when I broke up with my ex fiancé 2 months ago), I come to your channel and listen to your stories. I really love the way you narrate them as it makes me feel like I am living the events you are narrating! Keep up the good work! I love your work and I hope the best in life for you ❤
It's so heartwarming to know that you take your time to read all the comments. ❤️ Your stories and your voice are my company as I work from home. You brighten up a rather potentially tedious day at work and you just have no idea how much that means to me. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you.
I usually rarely comment because I don't have anything smart or funny to say. Every narration you put out is high quality and amazing and somehow I just assume you know we love it. But I guess obviously feedback is important for creators! You're one of the few people I frequently listen to, regardless of story selection. I feel comfortable and at home with your voice and style. But on top, the selection is always great! Thank you for all your efforts. The results are amazing.
I just found this channel while looking for new horror readers (or whatever you call it) and i am already pleasantly surprised. Saw a bunch of people doing the chills voice, and that isn't my cup of tea. Very nice to see someone actually enjoy what they're doing *and* do it their way. I'll definitely put your videos on while i draw :]
Dude, you were the first creepy story channel I came across and still my fav. Spent long, overnight drives up and down the east coast with your voice. Got my wife hooked too! Love the content.
I'd like to thank you for your work. My friend past away last year March and this was one thing we listened to together, I would send him your work and we would rant and rave about how good it was! The one story about the mimics in the basement sparked an hour long debate on what the creatures were if it was all in the narrators head. I still listen to all your work to this day and know he would've loved all of it. Keep up the excellent work ❤
I wanted to say that i love "the sounding of the fifth trumpet", i'm really obsessed with hearing it everyday, i really wish you make more videos with that same theme. thank you
man I love your stories man, the talent and effort you put into your voice when you narrate is nothing short of massively impressive and the music you use is amazing due to the uniquity and originality, most youtubers use imported audio but you compose the music in your videos, and it is absolutely astounding, it is also breathtaking how you can blend your music seamlessly to transfer into different moods or different levels of intensity. Your story telling is so immersive, it is captivating how you are not just reading the dialogue and narrating the characters, but you are the characters. Keep up the good work it is truly amazing.
I have struggled sleeping without medication for over ten years. Having found your videos and listening to fall asleep for the first time in over a decade I have fell asleep without sleeping pills! Thank you so much and keep doing this great work. It has also made me want to contribute to a UA-camr for the first time ever. If anyone could help me to send to you I would be very thankful
wow im so honored to hear that jeremy! i have the channel memberships and also a patreon, but just you stopping by and leaving the comment means the world to me
Hey Som, I’ve been following your narrations for a long time now, and your activity within the community has always been appreciated even as someone who doesn’t comment often. Thank you for the years of entertainment and fantastic music to listen to while I work. Take care
I went to basic training for five months and just got done and I just love the fact that your becoming a better narrator and I am so glad you actually care about this you can tell care so I appreciate it and trying to catch up on the stories!!
Damn, his dad barely even tried to dissuade him from talking to the boy. Then, when it was too late, he told him the information that most likely would have stopped him from talking to the boy. What an arsehole.
The theory I've gathered from this story is the boy is definitely some type of ghost or spirit, and a malicious and probably even vengeful one at that. From the extremely out of date clothing the boy wears and the description, we can say that he's from another time period for sure. And seeing how the boy did all this to the narrator's mom before then passing down to the narrator, I think this is indeed some kind of generational curse. It's impossible to know what happened to lead to it, but this ghost kid is obviously very angry at basically the narrator's entire bloodline, being hellbent on causing them pain, and likely having been done so for centuries. But that's just what I think is going on.
Just wanted to say that I appreciate what you do. I don't know why listening to these stories is so cathartic, but it is. I realize you put in a lot of effort to this, from finding and selecting the stories, to the hours you spend recording, to the editing and publishing that follows. You have a bigger impact on the world than you will ever see or fully know. Thank you.
Love your story … I found ur channel n never went to any other channels.. I go back to ur old videos n just watch everything thank you .. I can’t have a good day with out watching ur videos I fall asleep to them lol thankx
If you ever read this, Just wanted to tell you a big thank you for your work. My Gf and I have been enjoying listening to your story at night for the past year and a half. It’s always so relaxing and entertaining. So a Big Thank you.
There are no other narrators that do it the way you do. I’ve watched mostly all your videos and I love every single story that is narrated. I appreciate the work and consistent uploads. I look forward to every new video
Discovered you back in 2020 during quarantine. Didnt have a job and was staying up till 5 or 6 in the morning and I've been listening to your old narrations and keeping up with your new work. Love hearing your stories
My favorite narrator. been listening consistently for about a year but i subscribed i think 3/4 years ago and its been an amazing ride. Thank you for helping me sleep ❤
I’ve made this tradition of driving in this haunted quiet road near my Uni and I’d listen to your videos to immerse myself in it. The roadkill on the road as well as the occasional car wrecks on the road only added to the experience. I once witnessed people gathered around a canal because there was a dead body floating down stream. Another time i saw a pick up truck dragging a carcass of a cow that fell off his truck bed and I had to shout for his attention to stop the car and deal with the situation. This sounds horrible but watching you videos on that road every weekend made my week. Love you 🖤
I've grown accustomed to most of your narrations to not scared through the years I've listened you but this story in particular was genuinely a horrifying listen
Your narrations and music have helped me through some of the toughest years of my life, im so grateful for that Somnium, I want you to know, I figure I can’t be the only one, but I’ll say it anyway, you’ve helped me so much, and I know you’ve helped others here, thank you❤
It always amazes me, the different stories people come up with. This one is nightmarish for sure! Your narrations are great, you manage to sound like it’s happening to you!
Man the part where the kid claws his face really gave me the Willie's lol. Your use of sound mixed with your narration really gives a HUGE visual of the story and now I don't think I'm sleeping tonight lol. Yet another great job
Honestly the whole atmosphere of the videos is impeccable, the sfx, voice acting, music, even bringing guest VAs, it makes for a great experience; I remember being so immersed when I listened to the left right game, aside from the story being phenomenal, your narration really brought it to life in a new way. And the no sleep radio is a great idea, tbh you'd do great having a radio program back when it was more prevalent. I don't know if you have already done it but a reading or adaptation of the broadcast of the war of the worlds would be a fun idea to work with imo (I don't know if it's even possible due to copyright but it's an idea). All your efforts are greatly appreciated, thank you for doing what you do!!! And I hope this year brings you many opportunities and success. Take care!
Glad to see the channel is still active and you're responding to comments, always been one of my favorites for creepypastas. Your choice of music is a major part in what I prefer over other channels.
I absolutely love your calming voice, the voices you use for others that always fit them perfectly, and your sound effects and music and so on. It makes your stories come to life so perfectly. I love quite a few, but for example, my favorite is the mimic in the basement story. It’s one of your best uses of that little jolt of scary music like a gut punch to the soul, or the little slippery whisper that really emphasizes a really sobering and terrifying realization. You’re really amazing. Thank you so much for all your work!
on the topic of you reading the comments, it always fills me with so much joy whenever you have given the heart to my comments ! you really have so much kindness on top of your skills, its amazing and lovely to see. im so glad i found this channel a couple years ago :)
Awesome story! Sort of leaves the door open for a part 2...? It's so nice to know that you take the time to read comments. I've been enjoying your channel for several years now, and you've saved my sanity more than once. What you do is not just entertainment, it's art. Thanks a ton❤🖤❤🖤
Hey Somnium! Its great to know that you read these and thank you for putting out this outstanding content, ive been watching these for roughly a year or 2 and these still amaze me!
I haven't been part of this community for long but I have to say that the production, diligence, and hard work that the dark somnium puts into his videos is top-notch! My dog actually listens to the stories with me lol she will curl up next to me and periodically look between me and the phone screen and it's just the cutest thing 😊 think it's the amazing voice acting and sound effects that intrigues her so much
Another fantastic video by Dark Somnium! You always have a knack for choosing the most interesting and chilling stories to narrate, along with the amount of detail you put in a video with music and sound effects! The only complaint I have is to not have quality stories like this come out every day! But other than that, keep up the fantastic work you do!
I listen to you pretty much every night before bed. Your voice is pleasant and your story telling is perfect to play a scene in my mind. Ty for the bedtime stories, even if I stay up lol
These are the highlight of my day. In fact any day I choose a Dark Somnium day is suddenly a great day. Thank you for the masterfully done work you do.
I've gotten really into listening to horror stories. mostly before bed. I know this probably doesn't help with my chronic nightmares, but it helps me get to sleep. I really enjoy your videos.
First video I watched was "The thing in the basement is getting better at mimicking people" and Jesus that story was beyond my expectations! I just started this video, and I am already excited now that I know what I am going to get. Great Narration, story, and as creepy as I need to have nightmares from these stories lol. Amazing work! I can't wait to continue watching more!
Good morning everyone! I hope you have a good day! remember to like and share (if you want to)
How much cheese does it take to fill a bathtub?
Happy New Year!

I'm crying after reading this because I feel so sorry for your loss! 😭 I have 2 sons and I could not imagine the pain of seeing one of their lives cut short like that. I hope you find some more peace 🫂🕊️
Is there any way I can send you some money to help get your sons remains ?
I started listening to creepypasta after losing my daughter. I read your comment and felt overwhelmed with love for people I've never met. I wish you all the best and I know it doesnt feel like it but time does help... blessings and prayers to you. 💖💖💖💖

I think this is one of the best stories the channel has narrated. The lack of explanation, the lack of any ability to resist this curse, makes it all the more terrifying.
Yes it is worse then the typical monster that goes bump but I can think of some that would be much worse
I thought it was kinda cheesey, especially in how human reactions were talked about.
You managed to make my 50 year ol coworker cry with the "What happens to a body when it falls off a building" story you have some real talent man, your story building is just insane, keep up the good work
That story made me cry too. It's one of my favorite.
What is that one actually called? I can't find it
I ended up finding it. Thanks for help, fucko.
The humblest, and most underrated narrator out there! You alone make my days worth living. JOB worth working… I use your stories, your VOICE as a mental stimulant outlet to get me through the darkest of times so for that I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart! Keep up the Amazing work!
wow thank you so much, im honored :)
You need to go seek therapy if that is actually true. It's not a good thing whatsoever.
@@KingQov yeah bro you right
@@KingQov lol I appreciate your concern big dawg but we good over here 😂
@@rickroll4629 we good pimp 🤝
I am a 51 year old mother of 3 adult children. I work security. It's nice to have someone read for me for a change, especially while babysitting camera feeds. Thank you. I love your story choices.
sounds kinda relaxing to work night security while watching scary stories
god bless your heart, miss
You have always been my favorite narrator. Ever since diary of a psychopath. Your voice acting is great, music, SFX are all amazing. Even if you narrate okay stories your production and everything else make them so much better.
oooo thats an old one, i plan to redo it soon :) thank you for all your support.
@@Darksomnium that would be sick, is this one a redo as well? I feel like I’ve heard you do this one
Although I've heard this story before, TDS makes every story new! The sounds are so immersive, and the emotions are hauntingly conveyed-
I'm so honored to hear the videos can help you in any way :)
Was that's so awesome :)
I didnt know you took so much time reading comments thats really wholesome of you! This story gives me chills, and you narration made it so much better, thank you for the constant quality content its truly amazing and has helped me more than I could ever express. I wish you the best
yeah i usually spend a few hours a day just scrolling through comments and talking to people :) im so glad you liked the story!
since everyone seems to b leaving comments abt how you’ve helped them, here’s mine
i have adhd, absolutely cant fall asleep without some sort of distraction and your stories r perfect to fall asleep to. ur voice is the only one that doesn’t start to annoy me after a little bit and w/ your stories i get to sleep in like 20-30 min instead of the usual 1-2+ hours. i’m getting such better rest after finding this channel. youre the most soothing narrator i’ve ever come across & im so glad i found this acct, forever grateful ❤️❤️
You make these 10 hour shifts at work go by pretty fast man. I appreciate it
right, be in suspense halfway through the shift
I work at night making stuff for my bussiness and these stories are saviours for heavy eyes
Straight up!! Love his stories to listen to while at work
As a person that has vision problems, I have experienced silhouettes of people due to blurryness and it terrified me. this story really scared me deep. Great narration !
Same
Dark som is so down to earth and thats why i love him always responding too the community and supplying us with the best story telling imaginable
Thank you so much for all your support, I'm so glad the channel could help you in any way :)
The sound effects in these videos immerse me in the stories so well... especially onces that move from one side of the headphones to the other. It's that little touch that really sets your channel apart from others for me.
Thank you :)
I love your content dude! Thank you for the effort you out into your videos! I especially love the stories like this that are like 25-40 minutes long! Perfect length in my opinion! Have a great day man, and thanks for uploading!
thank you! i hope you have a good day too!
Second paragraph, first sentence. gah this feeling is so real and soul-crushing
Out of all UA-camrs, you’re the one with the biggest presence in my life. Every night for the past year and a half I’ve fallen asleep to your videos, and lately Romnex too! Please never stop!
Thank you so much:)
Wow, thank you! :) that's so awesome
since you read the comments, you're genuinely the best narrator i've found on youtube and i think its beautiful that your videos are so good that the whole comment section is consistently filled with support. i like to find joy in the little things and having such a positive space is great to see. keep being amazing and never feel bad about taking breaks 👍🏾
If you see this, I wanna let you know that I listen to your stories every day when I work. There is almost never a cliché or uninteresting story on this channel, and the narration is a big factor. You do a great job picking stories and narrating them. You deserve a lot more subs.
That’s actually so wholesome thanks for being there for me somnium much love for the content
All i gotta say is thank you for being such an amazing narrator and story teller
wow thats awesome, thank you so much :)
Love how much emotion you put into the recording
By the way, about the beginning of the video, thanks for being so "interactive" with us!
Hey im so happy to hear your son is doing better :) and im so honored that the videos could help you at all
Sominum you are by far, THE best narrator on here, you put so much effort and love into making each and every story. And the music you create and attach to each story is so unique and TRUELY wonderful, it makes each story a true experiance. Just amazing my friend. Love your work, wish you a very happy 2023, and I hope it blesses you more than 22 did.
Thank you so much Chris :)
These are the kinds of stories I love
The ones where the main character has to live with something paranormal that would be absolutely terrifying to anyone else but is completely normal to them because at this point they’re desensitized to it
im glad you like it! ill try to find more like this for you :)
Thank you!
Thank you so much!
Thank you :)
I love listening to these stories throughout my work day. I work as a delivery driver so it’s just me and my packages to it helps me get through my day. Plus distracts my mind from my long days. Thank you for making these
Appreciate you responding to us fans. Also most of the stories you read I enjoy. ❤ much love from Sapporo Hokkaido
I love your work and I hope the best in life for you ❤
I'm so happy the channel has been able to help you, i hope you're doing well :)
It's so heartwarming to know that you take your time to read all the comments. ❤️
Your stories and your voice are my company as I work from home.
Thanks for getting me through long days of work with these stories. You even inspired me to write my own stories.
I just found this channel while looking for new horror readers (or whatever you call it) and i am already pleasantly surprised. Saw a bunch of people doing the chills voice, and that isn't my cup of tea. Very nice to see someone actually enjoy what they're doing *and* do it their way. I'll definitely put your videos on while i draw :]
thank you :)
Keep up the excellent work ❤
Im so sorry for your loss, I hope you are doing alright. Thank you for your kind words.
Take care
im honored to have such an awesome community, thank you :)
The sound design on this one is incredible
So he needs an exorcism?
Just wanted to say that I appreciate what you do. I don't know why listening to these stories is so cathartic, but it is. I realize you put in a lot of effort to this, from finding and selecting the stories, to the hours you spend recording, to the editing and publishing that follows.
You have a bigger impact on the world than you will ever see or fully know. Thank you.
thank you Dylan (if thats not your name i apologize) im truly honored and humbled by your words.
You should do a really bad and cringe story sometime just for laughs
Love your story … I found ur channel n never went to any other channels.. I go back to ur old videos n just watch everything thank you .. I can’t have a good day with out watching ur videos I fall asleep to them lol thankx
If you ever read this, Just wanted to tell you a big thank you for your work.
My Gf and I have been enjoying listening to your story at night for the past year and a half. It’s always so relaxing and entertaining. So a Big Thank you.
i listen to these stories every time im at work, they help time pass by so fast man keep it up!
I love when you put in sound effects to immerse us in the story, almost like as audio movie. Please more of those!!!
I am an over over the road truck driver, and I have to say that I always look forward to your posts. Thank you for all the smiles you have given.
thanks for driving the trucks g
Love you 🖤
I've grown accustomed to most of your narrations to not scared through the years I've listened you
but this story in particular was genuinely a horrifying listen
So incredibly sweet of you to mention that you care and read most comments ❤ Means a lot to be apart of your great community ♥️♥️♥️
Thank you so much for all your work!
on the topic of you reading the comments, it always fills me with so much joy whenever you have given the heart to my comments ! you really have so much kindness on top of your skills, its amazing and lovely to see. im so glad i found this channel a couple years ago :)
your narrations help me so much, i have pretty bad insomnia and your voice combined with the music is just right to help me sleep
I started listening to ur vids three years ago and I haven’t stopped. Looked for other channels. Never found one as amazing as urs. Keep it up ❤
Thank you:)
You're the type of content creator I strive to be! Thank you for being an inspiration to me, and also the great narrations!
These are the highlight of my day. In fact any day I choose a Dark Somnium day is suddenly a great day. Thank you for the masterfully done work you do.
Once again. A story you made manifest has broaught tears of sorrow and terror. Thank you my friend ❤️
Solid as ever. I've sat with unmatched awe and shaken with unbridled rage at stories you've narrated. Glad you're at it bud
ah man! This story was so cool! Hope the author writes a sequel or maybe even a prequel of where the boy originated. Absolutely love your narrations!
We love your work, DS, and your voice has genuinely helped me through some of my roughest days.
