  • reasonablefaith... - Are God's standard of morality arbitrary? Socrates once asked Euthyphro, "Is the pious loved by the gods because it is pious, or is it pious because it is loved by the gods?" Many critics and atheists have used this refutation against the idea that morality is dependent upon God. Oddly, Socrates was a theist. Neverthelss, many use this "dilemma" as an argument. However, Dr. William Lane Craig shows that the Euthyphro Dilemma suffers from a false dichotomy.
