This was the first game I ever completed 100 percent. I would play it so often that I remember one time I heard my mom humming this song to herself. I asked her “hey, how do you know that song?” she sarcastically replied “well I hear it everyday!”. It’s a memory I will cherish forever because she’s gone now.

I remember when I was younger, first walking in to the observatory and hearing that music play. In 2009, this was a magical feeling that I can never forget. Recently playing it again, the magic this game gives off has never left.
I scratched my Wii Copy of the game so I own 3D All Stars.
And it’s just as good as it was before my idiot 3 year old self destroyed the Wii copy.

Recently a friend turned 15, and her family hired a violinist, the guy started playing normal music that plays at parties, and then... he started playing this.
It was the most magical moment of my life (and even more magical for my friend lol!!)
This is normal music that should be played at all party’s (seriously though, that’s really awesome)

This song makes me so goddamn emotional, every time I close my eyes, I picture little 7 year old me playing this game for the first time and loving every single moment of it. It’s tracks like this that prove that Koji Kondo/Mahito Yokota are the greatest videogame composers of all time.

In a really hard time completing my masters program, been listening to quiet classical music to help me study. I almost cried when this came on, remembering a period in my life that felt much more magical and less stressful. Childhood is precious, I miss that innocence.

I finally found this song. I never expected it to be an OST from a super Mario game. I never played super Mario galaxy, or any popular super Mario games for that matter. I love this though, sounds like some sort of wedding music. I always thought it was a classical piece so I searched for hours. Nothing! The last thing I thought this would be from was from super Mario

Nothing will ever amount to the level of nostalgia and pure joy that this theme brings me. It sounds like something straight out of a Disney movie, I cannot get enough of it.

I kept humming it to myself for a while and tried to remember where it came from and who wrote it. Eventually I figured out it was this exact song.

fun fact about galaxy's soundtrack: the composer handed in an initial version of the soundtrack, nintendo was satisfied, but he then took it back because he thought he could do better. he redid the WHOLE soundtrack, and needless to say, it cant get better than this.

Kinda unrelated, but if you’re going through the menus, the little sound effects it plays are actually the observatory theme from Mario galaxy
If they ever make a musical for super mario, they (whoever makes said musical) should use this as the intermission music (for letting people sit down, chat, and wait for the musical to start)
