To me, the #1 benefit of shifting main galley away from stock centerline position is there is new room for aftermarket cam manufacturers to bump up core size and get at new territory in reliable lift numbers - rollers can take advantage of this. A street ride with sub 0.650" lift doesn't even begin to look at that.

A big plus is if u loose oil pressure lifters bleed down before u can burn down the engine due to lack of oil

Cut a small slot in the lower distributor shaft housing to squirt oil on the gear.
