O my, i hope this is my issue. I am going on a week of wrenching, had he back end split once and off 3x now...lol..1 trip to the dock which was a 10 min fail. Still over heating.. Its fine on muffs..lol i did see i may have a impeller issue. It was new but seems to have melted a bit and the metal cage spun? ps_ i am the 2nd guy taking a stab at fixing this overheating issue 5.0 ho 93 fourwinns
dont forget to test the drive in standing water - NOT muffs. Muffs will prime the pump and give a false positive. Tape the top 3 water inlet grates and a tote will work great, keep the water full. Good luck! Also - the gasket should be replaced when doing the orings (kinda obvious but you know)

What is the part with the o ring called
Where would I find that lower o-ring? Special to OMC or something I can find at an auto parts store/hardware store?
more of a rare oring - an oring shop could spec is but def not autoparts stores, they would just have generic stuff-
What if the lower unit is new an you replaced the impeller an it's still not priming at an idle? Also the water pump shaft is spinning as well ?

Does anyone have a part number for the o-rings? Just trying to see if I can order them or if I need to get them made.

Yes you do
I replaced my water and thermostat new seals and it’s overheating maybe this is the main problem.
