My daddy played guitar and he would play this for me all the time. I never got a recording of him playing this song, so I always come here, close my eyes, and imagine my daddy playing this for me. He played it so beautifully.

stunning tremolo technique. and he still managed to put such an emphasis on phrasing the melody played by the thumb

It's quite difficult, at least for me anyway, to play the backing arpeggios and the tremolo-picked melody at the same time. Just goes to show how Andres was the master of his chosen craft. You listen to this, and it feels like you're being transported to a beautiful Spanish villa and a warm, sunny spring day. It's like the soundtrack to Heaven, if that makes any sense. God bless Andres and his amazing legacy of music.

I get so emotional listening to this beautiful music and Andres Segovia so skill with his double tones..It sound like water or tears...it is sad as well towards the end.

Magnifique. At the Alhambra (the red one), the Lions Patio. The remarkable architecture; one may murmur, to be solely heard the recipient. 😎khadija

Listen to the two melodies going on at once, distinctly different. May he rest in peace.

wonderhyamere, !!! there is only ONE guitar in all of segovia's work, that is what made him the best ever guitar player, he sounded as if there were three guitars on stage..amazing, isn't it?
thank GOD mankind could capture him on tape/cd, so we all could enjoy his guitarS too.

On youtube you can hear so many faster or fastest and very precise tremolo but no one could compare the tone and the spirit of the music with the maestro

Its not music form guitar its music from soul. Many people who play guitar dont put their soul in music that why they become instrument themself.

Playing classical guitar was required the strictly rules that apply to the music player. For example, the rule of sitting of right position, the holding (embrace) of the guitar, the different level of Left leg and Right leg and almost the correct ultimate using technique of the Right hand and Left hand to express, describe and to perform the piece of music. But if you are a guitar amateur you can play what you want freely. Guitar is the strings musical instrument which included the violin, viola, cello, piano, banjo, mandolin, ukele... And harp too. That makes the piece of music becoming the hues of the rainbow. An unknown Vietnamese listener.
