Nice job. I have a 40mm f2 Nikkor Z on my D7 II that is my walkabout lens. In a way it's a replacement for the 45mm f2.8 GN Nikkor I used to keep mounted on my Nikkormat FS.
been using a 40mm for decades 40mm 1.8 konica it's a nice focal length. Been looking at the voightlander 40mm too but maybe I should be checking this one out too. Thanks for the video
Just because I have a Z8 doesn't mean it's pragmatic for me to spend a fortune on lenses. I bought the Z8 to be my main camera for 6 plus years. Most people are over-paying for lenses in my opinion. I do realize that certain lenses can't be cheaped out on. You get what you pay for. But most of them? A street shot can use just about any lens.
Yeah true. I’m finding the quality in cheaper lenses is only improving as the years tick by. I love these more affordable lenses which you can capture equally stunning images with.
Would you consider putting aside your 35mm and 50mm to replace it with a 40mm?
Considered and done 😉

Thanks Paul. Great to hear about the 40mm. This one is a good one for sure.

Where are you buying your Nikon glass? I’d encourage you to buy as much as you can if yours are the same price as the Viltrox. 👍🙌
@@RalphMayhewPhotography in my country new viltrox cost 156 dollars, used nikkor 192 . 36 dollars .. - native lens and 2.0 vs 2.5
