Me still loving geo teams since launch. Ive been using Zhongli + Geo traveler combo since I started and its still my favorite gameplay. My only wish for geo is that the developers would make the geo constructs more viable by making it usable against bosses.
before starting the video i am going to say no she won't Geo as an element is in a tough spot right now where it is behind on reactions (geo has no meaningful transformative or amplifying reactions) which means that from a base point geo characters have to have MORE in terms of output (flexability, dmg scaling, etc.) to match other characters like alhaitham, neuvilette, xiangling, fischl and others Geos first main point (shields) was taken away for other elements while the other (constructs) are automatically destroyed when in contact with bosses which cause output problems for albedo and ningguang, characters who are reliant on their respective constructs to be up in order to do dmg (ningguang needs jade screen up for ult for it to do more dmg while albedo needs his flower up for his skill dmg) until there is changes to their coding at least, geo constructs will always be inconsistent to play in of itself as a whole and due to crystalise doing little means geo needs to be self sufficient. its the main reason why navia + itto has such a high scaling and why chiori despite trying to buff constructs has 'pets' like furina.

Nothing can save Geo. Geo is dead. A long time ago. Chiori’s kit does nothing for Geo. She even wants Geo Constructs in her kit. Casting mechanics of constructs is super problematic in Genshin. And hoyo won’t even fix the issue.

Albedo would be such a great unit in reaction based teams as a flex spot cuz of his em buff and its definitely what he was intended for but he needs a new artifact set geo as a whole needs a new set that makes crystallised actually useful cuz imagine if hoyo just released a vv set but for geo a better archiac petra if you will where you get res shred from getting the crystal shield of the elemnt it should prob alse make the shield stronger I imagine thatd revive geo as a whole and albedo specifically from the dead and geo characters would make up for lacking crowd control by having more durability wt crystallised shields and more personal damage i don’t understand why hoyo just chooses to not do this or how people over complicate it with reworks and stuff i mean a rework would be nice but literally a new set could be enough to make geo more viable
Easy answer, NO. Chiori is literally just a slightly stronger albedo. Both dont add anything of value. . The only way to revive geo is a complete rework of crystallize, or geo units that work best with other elements. Which would mean that oldet characters like itto, goro, albedo are doomed.

I'm just still confused why they made her a 5 star. 5 stars are usually hyped up a lot, and her constellations feel more necessary to me than other 5 stars. I wonder if she was supposed to be a 4 star and they changed last minute. 🤔 She's cute, but I never even understood the necessity of Albedo for mono geo. (I love albedo too btw, just never got into his playstyle lol) I'm definitely sticking to my normal itto team until a fun geo character comes out. Maybe Natlan has some fun and unique characters in store for geo teams 😊 I could imagine having small geo constructs that can get stuck on enemies and deal aoe dmg to the enemies near the one it's stuck on. It would be cool to see a grouping character wanted in a way that supports geo. And the constructs would still be great for bosses too. A character that could work like that would make me see chiori a little more interesting. Ty for the vid!!
I don't think she will revive geo, at best she might be somewhat better than Albedo in a mono geo comp, but other than that at C0 she doesn't bring too many things to an account. And that's if you already have a mono geo comp already built in your account, cause if you don't then you need to also get some units to make her shine. I already have an Itto/Gorou/Albedo/Zhongli team built and I probably won't pull for her, I don't think she is, at the moment, good enough to replace Albedo for my team
Geo doesn't NEED amplifying or transformative reactions to be good, remember it's an INERT element, it's earth, it per definition doesn't react, but they REALLY have to fix Constructs and make Crystallize give some sort of buff when obtaining a Crystal Shield

And no, my argument isn't bad, it's a GOOD argument because I understand Geo's place in elemental significance.
I wonder how it feels to play both at the same time in a team? Like how it feels super fun to have both yelan and xingqiu together, but geo supports lol. I can see it being weird with itto, but he's not the only geo dps.

I’m sure the of field dps would be good but how many people are really gonna pull both instead of one or the other.

I am a bit disappointed. I hoped Chiori will be a good support for Navia or other characters. Instead she will be a sub-dps... But if she will be good with mainly mono geo teams I think that is far from good. If you ask me, characters like Navia who is work well with other elements due to she is use cristalize reactions is much more better. But Chiori may help some other geo chars like Itto or Morax.
I think chiori open the new door for Double Geo In several teams who need reaction (Crystalized) but problem only Navia like crystalized she don't have Geo construct. I really like Chiori in my navia but now i guess it's so much to get c1 to able paired this two.

Replace zhongli. Her with albedo + guru buff= godly off filed dps
I did the math. I think it is about 90k every 2s if both are well built. That is more than itto with guru😂
