She is very good looking , never heard of her until I watched the film look away, and I have to say she is a very good actress, she is unique and very talented
I feel like Patty and Chris did not recognize Indya’s acting skills and her major part in bringing this character and series to life. Yes, she’s young and not as eloquent, but she’s pretty amazing in this major role in this series.
Yessss Golden Brooks! Every other comment on these interview videos with the cast is about Golden Brooks! You matter madam & thank you for using your gift to entertain the masses!!!
I am really enjoying this limited series. What an awesome, deep story. A young woman determined to find the truth of her family unwinds to a detriment of nightmares. She is very brave to have it told and the actors have really become the characters very well. Great job to all of you. I like the producers story about how she came to know the woman and her story.
Enjoy knowing this level of information about the creation and completion of this amazing show. Yes, it's crazy, horrifying, mesmerizing etc. and I couldn't stop watching.
Show is amazing! India so is so innocent and beautiful. Pine plays the awesome tormented character and has awesome dialogs with other chars. May's and Chris's character is like alive. Cops and bad guys of show are scary and very well played. Director creates an awesome atmosphere. Well Done!
may is like a real life version of george, the way he speaks, he dresses in the interview is exactly like george hodel in the show. I can feel the creepiness through the screen.
Is there any Indian here who came here to see India , God she's naturally sooo beautiful 😍❤I had first saw in the movie ( Underworld Awakening ) as she was kid but her face was very eye catchy 😀and man I have to say I have crush on her 😍😍😍
I am currently watching this limited series and it's truly awesome.....no other word for it. I am now going to b watching the 5th episode and am upset there are only 2 more episodes and wondering how it could b over in just 2 more episodes!!!! I wish this could go on for another 5 episodes or more!!!!
Really solid show. Just saw the first episode. Great collaborative effort. Good cast as well. And thankfully it centres on the characters while at the same time leaving the story to flow freely. The message or messages are implicit and integrated into the story, it's narrative...as a viewer you are not bombarded and beaten over the head with any kind of virtue signalling or any "hey look how progressive we are" moments! Definitely looking forward to the rest of it! 👍👍
Keep in mind this series is 95% fiction. The truth is actually more horrifying than what the series shows but the series was interesting to watch. Just wish it was leaning more on the facts than what they did.
Just watched the premiere. Really good start. Love the atmosphere and style. Great interview... however I feel a little disconnect being that they didn’t really talk about the actual people the series is about. They talked about the “characters”. I think I only heard Golden mention Jimmy Lee’s personality just a tiny bit. I would have liked to hear about how they went about portraying these people who actually existed. What decisions did the actor who played George made and why. Did he study the doctor.. I mean he must have. That would be interesting to know the process. Or just a little more on Fauna even. Patty’s a great story teller. The interview was 27 minutes.. so I guess you can’t fit too much in but I would have just wanted more insight on character development vs the real people
@@angelq8227 .. Google her name. I forgot the name of the indie film she co directed. It's about self love. Acceptance. And fear. More like a dark version of Girlfriends😊✌. Plus shes was on that once TVone reality show. It displayed the project she was working on.
Odd and super interesting to read these peoples lives at that time. The Hodel family is very strange and not in a good way. I believe her grandfather was a serial killer.
I was surprised to hear she has a slight British accent too. Maybe she spent some of her formative years in England? Her mom is English, so it's possible.
Catrina Hartz Too hard to explain here. You can find lots of info online. It’s a style of film that features a certain bleak, fatalistic attitude, as well as archetypal characters. That sounds kind of grim. But some of the most entertaining movies ever made fit the noir genre. But the best way to understand Film Noir is to experience it. Best examples: “The Maltese Falcon” “Double Indemnity” These are classic ‘40s noir films. The genre continues, though it’s no longer as pure or clear cut as it was back in the black and white film days. 2 of the greatest, more contemporary noir films are “Chinatown” and “Body Heat”. It you haven’t seen these, you’re missing some essential movie experiences.
india didn't impress me at all in this series but holy shit Chris pine...I could feel everything he felt deeply. India kind of was a blank screen for the entire show. Nothing impressive.
I love the show. I am aware that some of it is fiction, but I'm guessing that's what the podcast is for. to tell the real story. What I'm extremely disappointed in is the fact this show only has a few episodes left. I know it's a limited series but it's a little too limited. How in the heck are the going to be able to wrap up this show in only a few more episodes without leaving a ton of questions unanswered? They could have made it a little longer.
I agree. Why isn't this series much longer? I do love the series for what it is even though it's not completely true. It's still good. But tell more of the truth in more segments. Ugh.
to be honest having read the story behind it im not sure im going too watch its a very dark story I mean it was a inhuman murder with ritualistic black magic overtones
why are people surprise, the only thing in the show that she was super out of touch was her fake southern accent, even it's not obvious you can tell from here and there her native tone were not american english.
I can’t express how disappointed I am in all of these people who are connected with the production of this TV show. They promised Fauna Hodel that they would tell the THRUTH about her life, that was all she wanted. Sadly, she passed away and then this TV show that was supposed to be a very long running TV series as to be able to tell the whole story in honesty, is now a “limited series” of fictional crap.. it’s a crap show! All over the place, mostly fiction and even “psychological thriller” garbage thrown in. I am overly disappointed in all of you. I guess you didn’t want to do the work but still wanted that pay check. Way to honour Fauna Hodel.
Caroline Chiasson , I don’t know much about Fauna Hodel but am now reading and trying to learn about who she was. It sounds like she was someone you knew, and cared about. I believe you are right, this “series” is more of a psychological thriller. I hope to learn more about her on my own.
wannabigwin5 I was quite disappointed with the show, as you can tell. Fauna wrote her own book, that is probably the closest we can get to her telling her own story. I’m so sad she wasn’t able to stay and finish all that she had on the go. Happy researching from Canada, Cheers!
They have a podcast series that has various family members on it telling the true story and supposed to be never heard clips and what not of George, it’s called root of evil and it premiers the 13th on Apple podcasts
Caroline Chiasson no problem! I was pretty bummed too when I learned the show wasn’t actually going to be based on her life but instead realllllly loosely based on it lol so I’m happy to know they will have a truer version though I’d prefer if it was in a video not just podcast because I’ve never been able to watch a whole one. Shall see with this! Haha

India is so gorgeous
yeah!
Just like her beautiful mama
She is very good looking , never heard of her until I watched the film look away, and I have to say she is a very good actress, she is unique and very talented
Agreed
SpookyAL She looks so much like her mother in this series. She usually doesn’t look that much like her.
Chris Pine is absolutely mesmerizing and just so lovely.
He is a stunningly gorgeous man, it is true but I was also captivated by his acting in this series, he did such a good job!
I feel like Patty and Chris did not recognize Indya’s acting skills and her major part in bringing this character and series to life. Yes, she’s young and not as eloquent, but she’s pretty amazing in this major role in this series.
I can't even articulate how excited I am to see Patty Jenkins, Connie Nielsen, and Chris Pine reunited. Can't wait for this limited series.
Golden Brooks should get an Emmy!
Tommy Crawford she killed it!
Fun Fact:
Chris Pine's dad and India Eisley' mom are both famous in the 70s.
@H No Robert Pine and Olivia Hussey. Look them up.

India😍 Love her since underworld🙌 Her recent performance in look away was so good!
Golden Brooks, I remember her from Girlfriends! I'm so happy to see her on t.v again!
Interviewer is on the money. Can see there is a good chemistry amongst the cast here too. Looking forward to watching the rest of the show.
I like this interviewer, always good questions.

Glad to see Golden Brooks is still out here!

Word of the day - Noir
Nora G right!? Should have had a counter. At one point I said out loud.. “ stop saying noir!” Lol
i was looking for comment like that
I'm liking this show so far. Not trying to pick favorites. But Golden Brooks wasn't playing with that role 👍👍👍😊
Such a good job!
One of the sad things is that if George Hotel did in fact murder Elizabeth Short in 1947, Elizabeth never got justice for her murder.
I was so happy to see Golden Brooks on this show!
Very excited for the show!
I wish they made another season 😭

Great Q&A. Mays and Pine, yep, I'm in!
I would SO be outside making faces through the glass lol
Sounds like you’re a funny goof ball :-)
I love the color schemes of the show
Jefferson Mays is a treasure! I can't wait to check this series out.
Yes Golden Brooks. Yasss!
Nefertiri Maat
So good I had to buy the book.
Pink Greenish Blue How is the book?
Where the hell did they resurrect Golden Brooks from?

If the interviewer is such a fan of noir, you would think he would take the time to find out how to pronounce the word correctly.
I see Connie Nielsen... I click!
I love this show so much
Are they making a second season of this?? I liked the show I wish it didn’t end so soon
This is amazing
Great Discussion
India's so gorgeous.
Also...I wanted to say...India Eisley = Mara Jade...are you listening Lucasfilm?!?! (Probably not.. LOL)...
Where the hell Golden Brooks been?
She's been directing behind camera😊
Sahiry Gnobehi What has she directed?

Jefferson Mays is fantastic.
14:54 chris pine watching the camera jajaja beautiful eyes omg my baby
but why does India have a British accent though? She American
Her mother is Olivia Hussey (Juliet).
@@thomassterling2919 half British mom, it makes more sense, kinda.

What is Noire?
I was wondering the same thing. Lol.
