By god you’ve done it again. The new real time note names are fantastic for ear training. Btw I love these baritenor videos. I thought I was a tenor because of my high notes but I’m finding myself to actually be a high range baritone. These are so perfect for me, I almost feel like a wasted a couple years doing purely tenor videos. Thanks again!
Thank you so much Chad! I appreciate it! Thanks for your kind words and I'm so glad that the baritenor videos are serving you well! Enjoy! Thanks for subscribing!
I’ve been experiencing allergies lately and was not feeling good about my voice tonight but after doing this warm up, it surprisingly felt really good. Thank you once again, Jeff!
Thanks Jeff, I like the exercise singing over the chords. It's a different feel to zero in on the notes without the direct reference from your right hand doubling the line.
wonderful, i use your warmups every day! the keyboard is cool, i cant decide if its better to see your fingers or the keyboard image. fingers feels more human and i can still make out where we are, but keyboard image is super easy to just know. both are great!
Thank you so much for that Rafhael, I appreciate it. I'm switching back to the actual piano for the next few months, but if folks really like the digital representation, then I'll work it out.
Definitely like the keyboard. I was doing this myself following with my own keyboard and now with your overlay keyboard, it's just nice to see the notes. Not sure why but it is. Also I really like the addition of chords to sing over. I realize that it helps me hear my tone better. Scale then chords. Always singing the notes you are playing masks my tone and singing over the chords leaves my voice alone, without the piano notes. So I can hear my voice tone better. Very helpful videos!
Hey Jeff, thank you very much for another video, I've been watching you for about a year and your content always help me in my vocal training/analysis. Just letting you know that Brazilians watch you too. Keep rocking the house!!!
Awesome, Leonardo! Cheers to you in Brazil! So glad that the videos are helpful and thank you for being here for the past year! Enjoy, and thanks for subscribing!
Awesome, Jeff! I too enjoy the keyboard on the screen. And, also, the exercises with just chords at the end is so very helpful for being intentional with the notes. As a guitar player, that is still my struggle in maintaining pitch consistently.
Awesome! Enjoy your lessons and enjoy working with the videos here! Thanks for subscribing! Feel free to join me during a live event if you have any questions.
Such. A great. Warmup. This actually helped me as an early morning warmup. Thank you so very much, sir, as always. Wanted to know if you might be able to make a gentle warm-up for baritenor? Lately, I have been just sticking to the one for tenor, and that always seems to help out, but if you happen to have one for baritenor, that would work just as well. Just a thought.
Awesome! I would've sworn I had done a gentle warm up for baritenor! Having checked, here's one: ua-cam.com/video/_kauhbju8DA/v-deo.html I need to do some more though! Thanks for bringing it to my attention!
There are different labelling systems for octaves in use. In the case of the software that I used for this, it labels middle c as c3. It through me off at first, but it's not uncommon.
hi thanks a lot for you videos :) it it just warm up or even a singing lesson? - cause when i was at a few lessons - we pretty much did stuff like that.
Well spotted! These are warm ups, sure, but they are also technical exercises that I put together to help with specific goals. Each video is its own little lesson really.
Thank you Chris! I have to say, I love that mic, but it comes at a cost. It's a Neumann KMS 105. The key presses are being shown by a program called Midiculous! Thanks again, and thanks for subscribing!
Are the "C" keys marked correctly? This does not feel like the "C2" to "C3" octave to me. Oh, I came back to edit my comment and say I like the key labels. Helps me work on my ear training, I think.
Thank you, David! Some MIDI systems label their octaves off by an octave, so c3 on this software is what we would think of as c4. A little confusing, but once you know that, you can trust your ears when the label seems off from what you would normally expect! Thank you for bringing it up, and I'm glad you like the labels in general!
I really enjoyed the chord-part at the end. The progression ( 15:50 ) reminde me of "How to train your dragon". Jeff, did you have anything in mind while choosing the chord progression ? Ps: great video as always, stellar work
Thank you Simonmon! No, the chord pattern is just one that I'm familiar with and use all the time for that exercise. Cool that it sounds familiar! Glad you liked the keyboard at the bottom too! Thanks for subscribing!
In this video I had the labeling set to a different system that labels middle c as c3. It's taken from MIDI, where the first c is c0, instead of c1, as it's labeled on a piano. I've fixed it in more recent videos.
hi jeff. i was wondering as I come close to my secondo passaggio for my voice, roughly somewhere between E flat to E4 ,should I try to widen the pharyngeal space in my throat?, such as lowering the larynx, widening the pharynx and the spreading of the soft palate. I have noticed if I don't do this my throat tends to tighten up slightly and I cant reach the D4 in this exercise consistently. I'm just curious if you have any thoughts on this?.
Try monitoring the position of your larynx by watching yourself in a mirror while singing the exercises. See if it lifts during the ascending phrases. If so, try to keep it in a neutral position. Let me know how that turns out for you!
hi jeff thanks for the advice!. i did notice it was lifting and i have actually found one of your old videos on the low larynx which il try working on for now.
Without any further ado at 1:45 😉 Thanks Jeff! 🐯

I never heard of baratenor but it makes sense. That's exactly where I fit in. Thanks again for all the help you give.👏✌️
I’ve been experiencing allergies lately and was not feeling good about my voice tonight but after doing this warm up, it surprisingly felt really good. Thank you once again, Jeff!
Glad to hear it! Allergies can be a pain. If they're seasonal, keep in mind that they'll pass, and be gentle with yourself, and your voice!
Great warm up! Thank you!
Thanks Jeff, I like the exercise singing over the chords. It's a different feel to zero in on the notes without the direct reference from your right hand doubling the line.
Nice! Keep it up!
One of the shorter exercises from Jeff but quite effective!
New Jeff 🔥
Nice! My vocal chords feel lovely!🙏🏿 The keyboard visual was a nice addition.

As always, thank you for what you do man! You help people like me become better and better with each video, a true inspiration sir.
Wonderful! Happy to help! Keep going!

The keyboard is a great addition. The helicopter too. Stockhausen vibes :)
Love it! Thank you Mariano!
Keyboard was great! Loved it and yet another great lesson. Thank you!
You're very welcome!

Thanks, Jason! I plan on continuing to do this regularly! Glad it helps!
Thank you for this video. I’ve just started singing lessons and just discovered you. Subscribed and can’t wait to go through more of your content!
Awesome! Enjoy your lessons and enjoy working with the videos here! Thanks for subscribing! Feel free to join me during a live event if you have any questions.
Keyboard is very cool :) Very helpful to easily identify the notes we're hitting
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you so much for giving us these videos. My range has significantly widened because of you. ❤️
Awesome! Happy to help!

Thank again Jeff, soooooo enjoyable and the real time notes are perfect. 🥰
Excellent! Thank you! I may have to do that more often!
Amazing and thanks for showing the keys as well
love this channel
Thank you!!! I appreciate it!
Awesome warmup,Jeff!
Good one that Jeff 👍
The digital keyboard in the wrong octave, a tenor would never seen a C2 not to be disrespectful. Love you Jeff.

Hi coach Jeff Rolka salamat sa new video🥰🎶🎵
Hello Solemn! Thanks for watching and thanks for subscribing! Enjoy!
Great!

Great video again! Great sounding mic! What is it? Also, what program are you using to show the keys presses? Thank you!

I really liked the keyboard at the bottom, it gave me a good visual representation where I am at with my voice (idk if that makes sense)
Thank you Simonmon! No, the chord pattern is just one that I'm familiar with and use all the time for that exercise. Cool that it sounds familiar! Glad you liked the keyboard at the bottom too! Thanks for subscribing!
14:20 (just for me to remember the time of the exercise haha)
Isn't the labeling on the on-screen keyboard one octave too low?

Didn’t hear the chopper. The keyboard was a very cool addition.
It was so loud in the room! Glad it didn't come through!
