- Even when you're off you're on
The concluding vlog of the 7 day guest trip from Gibraltar to Portugal.
The nature of the job, when you are on board you are always working, if something comes up even in downtime your responsibility as a crew member for the safety of the crew and vessel means you're always on standby.
Stick the video out till the end.
Happy New year 2019!!
I'm sorry there was a break between this video and the previous one, have so much to catch you up on. There is so much content to edit and share with you and some exciting news about 2019 I will explain in an upcoming video.

I have no experience in yachting at all, but I did wonder if it was not common practice to always have the extra anchor/lines out just in case. Rather than somewhat scrambling in the middle of the night when the wind unexpectedly or suddenly picks up?
There was another yacht due in next to us so we couldn’t connect to the bouys incase they arrived in the middle of the night and the anchor had held us fine for the previous 2 nights even with a bit of wind. Normally we are overkill on lines and moorings but the chain stretched out was enough to get us close to the dock so rather than risk taking up the slack and dragging the anchor we got the extra lines out. The other yacht never showed because of the weather they got held up somewhere south. It does pay to be prepared and that’s what the spectre line is for as we don’t use it for mooring normally.
How often do those treadmills get used?
Guests use them daily. One of the most important toys we have on board. Replaced often as even though we do the best to maintain them no one builds a outdoor treadmill that copes well in salty environment.
TomJoeSHOW I guess it is nicer to have a treadmill rather then having guests do laps around the yacht. Who knows maybe someone will make a treadmill that has teakwood.
Keep the extra line tight hehehe
Who doesn’t want tight lines 😂
About time, it's been to long
I have a lot to catch up on and share with you
Good video, music was much louder than your voice.
Cheers for the heads up I still need to figure out how to get everything level.
What song is playing at 1:07 ?
Can you tell us the make, model and length of the boat please?
@@samosborne330 I could certainly do that Sam but I thought it more polite to ask.

Hey she’s an Amels build of the 180 line, this one is 52m but there are sister ships up to 56m. Designed by Tim Heywood.
I get you and Jared cornfused
Beyond yachting we have a lot in common. Both Land Rover defender fans. Both in Australia at the moment but opposite sides of the country. Would be great to collaborate one day
🌽 fused - yeah look forward to a collab 🤙🏼
so I get credit when y'all drop a two-fer ?????
thanks to both of you for all your hard work.........
us scallywag landlubbers wouldn't know what it is like to be on a yacht w/o your vlogs.
