I'm sorry about ur brother. I thought of my daughter Nicole the first time I heard it today on a rerune of Charmed, I lost her 10 years ago this month.
I'm always surprised Beth didn't have a bigger or more prominent career after Daybreaker. It's a masterpiece. I know she's continued to write and record, but Daybreaker is so perfect that I would have thought she'd still be *huge*
Best Beth Orton song. Why doesn't she play this anymore? I've trawled UA-cam and there are only two live performances of this song (including this one) that I can find, and they're both from the early 2000s.

This song destroys me. There's something about Beth's delivery of some extraordinarily poignant lyrics makes me just...weep.

It's not like you said 13 years ago. She played the arpeggio, the other guitar played the chords. The guitars that were playing, therefore, are 2.
