The Daisy 415 is single handendly the strongest co2 4.5 bb pistol out of the factory box unmodified, firing on average at 450 fps and 3.6 joules of force, but on a hot day it can easily pass the 500 fps closing in to 4 joules of force, and it can pass through steel cans with enter and exit wounds as if the can was made of butter. That much force on a 4.5 steel bb is enough to pierce skin, muscle, and scratch the bone, specially at close distances. Needless to say, if aimed to the head the Daisy 415 will destroy eyes, noses, teeth, and hits to the forehead can and will cause concussions. Shots to the neck can end inside the trachea, causing breathing difficulties, and if it hits the arteries it's life threatening due to bloodloss. And you have 21 shots as fast as you can pull the trigger. 21 shots to the head means the concussions will eventually give way to lesser fractures on the bone structure of the skull, causing massive head pain and possibly unconsciousness, and it takes just one BB reaching the brain to cause serious brain damage and possibly death. Very few bb pistols unmodified out of the factory box can do such a feat since they often cannot pierce through steel cans, this is because most shoot only at around 350 fps or less even 250 fps, which would go around 1,5 to 2 joules of force, which is good enough for piercing thin alluminum soda cans and harming skin tissue and eyes, but won't pierce through a steel can nor would they do enough harm to an attacker to effectively incapacitate it. The Daisy 415 is the best 4.5 bb co2 for plinking and self defense until you can get yourself a real firearm, at which point I reccomend using a 357 magnum revolver or a 45 ACP pistol hollow point bullets for great stoping power without damaging your own wrists when firing as a 500 S&W would do to an untrained hand, otherwise get a 9mm and don't even waste money on a 22 pistol. Now a 22 rifle... that's another beast entirely... but since we are at it: Rifle for hunting. Shotgun for home defense. Heck get a tank! Until then, your Daisy 415 bb gun will keep you safe against non firearm wielding attackers, and will give you hours and hours of plinking fun. 100% recomended
That’s nuts that you would recommend the self defense part lol … I mean your right that would hurt like a son of a bitch to get shot in the trachea with that thing
I am a New Subscriber ; and I am enjoying the fun and family friendly , old school Airgun Channel styled vibe ( much like HobbyJohn , Backyard Plinking, Wombat Bull, and Juan Los ) that You bring.
Thanks for watching! Backyard Plinking is one of my favorite Channels. Unfortunately, he has had some health problems and has not done a new video in 11 months.
Actually, the Daisy Powerline 415 is a fairly powerful non-blowback air pistol. Most non-blowback CO2-powered air pistols top out at around 500fps. This is a limitation of the CO2 power plant, itself.
You reckon this could dispatch mice? We have a big mouse and rat problem here in Vancouver. I hate killing things but it seems to be one of the more humane options. The sticky traps are pretty cruel, the snap traps hardly work, the live-catch ones dont often work. Our options are also somewhat limited in canada. I think this is pretty much as powerful as we can buy without getting a license
I live in a rural area by a marsh and get a lot of unwanted little visitors in the house. I have tried no-kill humane traps but it seems like the same critters just come back after being released. I recommend a humane electric kill trap like this one: amzn.to/49zQ1sc
The Powerline 415 is made of a type of polymer plastic that is close to that used in real firearms. The MK45 is made of an ABS plastic that is more "toy-like". Both air pistols have stamped steel internal parts. Airgun manufacturers really don't report how "hard" an air gun hits. I guess it can be said that an air gun with the highest velocity in fps will hit the hardest.
Underlevers and brake barrels are nice some safety advice always hold the lever 🙂when inserting pellets in both underlever or brake barrel This way no chance of fingers being lost never trust safety or non safety Have a great day thank you for your videos I really enjoy them🙂👍
I lost the damn spring that pushes the bbs forward so I can’t shoot it properly I’ve been looking everywhere to find where I can just buy the stupid spring by itself so i can just jam it back in or something
I don't know exactly. During the making of this video, I had to reload four times. Not all the shots made the video. So at least 4x21 = 84 shots. The CO2 cartridge still had gas in it when I removed it, so as to prepare the air pistol for storage.
I am sorry that I am asking so many questions... But could you give me your top five of the best bb pistols around $30 - $50, that are accurate, magazine fed, and have around 450 fps. Thank you!
Due to my "day job", I don't have time right now to answer your question in detail. How bout you narrow down a few air pistols that your looking at and I will give you my thoughts on them.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 Sorry I am asking so many questions. I am not sure if you have this pistol, but what do you think about the gamo p-27. I was attracted to this gun because it has a rifled barrel, and has a relatively high, 430 fps. You have been most helpful. Have a great weekend.

Great detailed review! I'm getting one! Thanks for the straight forward review, with no gab, gab filler talk! And you are a good shot!
Thanks for watching!
I am deciding on my first co2 gun. You are the first video I have watched. I think your videos are very well done.

Rust Belt Air Gun : Sadly , Our Friend Charles has passed away due to cancer . The entire Airgun community has suffered a Great and Tremendous loss.
I wanna see a 426 and 415 competition pistol
I do enjoy shooting mine. I really like that magazine too. Makes it pretty unique 👌 Great review man!
Thanks!
@@rustbeltairgun8718 that 415 sounds pretty strong.im going to get one. Is it stronger than the 426 powerline. I have the 426 powerline.
Cool video and I like this pistol I had to buy one love the power, the green fiber optic sight ,and the big magazine capacity of 21 shots 👍
It is a great air pistol, happy shooting!
It sounds like it hits hard
Will this work on groundhog's up close?
Some people complained about leaking CO2. Did u have any issue with this pistol? Great video 👍🏼
I did not have this issue with my 415.
When you talk all I hear is
✌👽 Powerline 415/SpaceModulator😂
Some say I sound like Kermit the Frog :-)
What’s a powerful non blowback bb pistol please? Any recommendations?
Love your reviews, from the U.K. thanks.

@@rustbeltairgun8718 thanks, is there anything else apart from the daisy 415 you’d recommend? Similar power but better quality?
Have a good day.
Well, reviewing low-cost air guns that everyone can afford is my niche. Check out the Crosman PFM16: ua-cam.com/video/n2atbw2OZXU/v-deo.html

Do you prefer this one or the 5501 for a new air gun owner?
I recommend the Powerline 415, because it is a more basic air pistol.
You have a good site all you need is a chronograph I really enjoy your videos take care have a great day 🙂👍
Agreed, I need to acquire a chronograph.
Thank you for all your help. Why do you like the powerline 415 a bit more than the mk45?
My other question was how much of the mk45 is steel and does it hit as hard as the daisy powerline 415?

What would make my gun stop shooting after putting in two new cartridges and they have plenty of air.?
Are you sure the CO2 cartridge is being pierced? When you removed the cartridge, does all the CO2 escape?
@@rustbeltairgun8718 Yes the air escapes when I loosen to remove,
You need to get a silencer for it from Buck Rail/Terry Harman. He is making the best cheapest silencers for crosman pistols.
Thanks for the tip, I will have to look this up.
Between the Daisy powerline 415, and the mk45 which do you like more?
In my opinion, the Daisy Powerline 415 is slightly upscale to the Crosman MK45.

Crosman allows you to purchase discrete parts for some of its air guns. I don't believe Daisy has the same policy.
How many shots do you get with a cartridge? Good review it seems to hit hard.
I don't know exactly. During the making of this video, I had to reload four times. Not all the shots made the video. So at least 4x21 = 84 shots. The CO2 cartridge still had gas in it when I removed it, so as to prepare the air pistol for storage.
@@rustbeltairgun8718 That's not bad at all thanks.
Has anyone experienced the whole cartridge dumping out and leaking from the rear of the top of the 415? Anyone?
Sorry, I have not had this issue with my 415.
do you have to have a co2 cartridge to shoot it or can you do it without?
A 12 gram CO2 Cartridge is required.

If you do not have this gun, I saw you do a review on the Crossman vigilante. Is this a quality gun?
Does a rifled barrel make a big difference compared to a smooth bore barrel?
I have not reviewed the Gamo P-27, it looks like a respectable air pistol, based on its specs.
Nice little review
Thanks!
Should i buy this or the 426? Ty
Depends on the price point, at one time the 426 was half the price of the 415. In that case, you get more "bang for your buck" with the 426.
I have 426 and 415
Thank you. This was helpful.
Great!
Nice review😊 maybe I'll pick one up..
The Powerline 415 is a great air pistol!
