Mike, take the bottom heads off and spray a small amount of expanding foam in there, (not to much) this will help secure the buckets in place

Thanks for the idea.. however, this is the 3rd year they have been in my garden and they are working fine. I have replaced the water features with more flowers because the pump units died and I couldnt be bothered to replace them

Fraser, don't feel too bad, it was a pretty shitty kit that would have probably ended up in a skip if I hadnt bought it. It wasn't one that anyone would have wanted to gig with out a complete change of heads, hardware cymbals and probably shells lol. The good news is that it's still in the garden after several years. The metalwork has rusted nicely giving it a rustic look. At the time of writing I still have 4 acoustic kits and 2 edrum kits inside the house that I do play record and gig with.

@@frasermccomb1934 Fraser, when I was 15 my kit was what was known as a " Bitza Kit".. Bits of this, bits of that. Nothing matched. It was all second hand or scounged from drummer friends of my dad who played trumpet in local bands for dancing in clubs. For Christmas I had a new bass drum pedal and saved pocket money to buy new stands. My pride and joy was a brand new Premier 2000 snare drum that my dad bought for me using an Ajax snare as part exchange. I used to use Fablon (sticky backed plastic) to cover the drums so they matched in look. So I do understand the feeling of seeing a matching kit still in playable condition being used as a pot plant. When it could be being used by a young drummer. The good news is that there are many dozens like it being offered for small sums daily on websites like Gumtree and Shpock.
