Just a word of advice from a nurse- it would be great to wear gloves when handling those specimens and use hand sanitizer every time you take your gloves off. Great hustle. Good luck. 🎉

I live in Washington state do they have it here an how do I sign up
Live in Chicago and work for a courier company that does this. Make very little money and want to work and give me very little opportunities. I have plenty of experience with this. Is it worth it?
@@franklinscarlett9698 I'm in Chicago too. What company do you work for? I'm thinking about doing this but I'd rather work for myself.
My advice as a nurse is to keep a box of gloves in your car. Many times you can come across a soiled specimen bag. Sounds a good gig however!
Thank You!!!!
Hace mask too
Facts never touch specimens w/o gloves

@@carsandcribs How good does your driving record have to be?
Thirty years ago, I worked as a courier for a large Chicago courier service, 2k calls a day We usually were released for the day at 5 PM. I had just picked up my wife and daughter and was heading home when a call came over the radio. "Go pick up a heart and set of lungs at ROBI (Regional Organ Bank Institute) and deliver to the University of Chicago hospital". My daughter absolutely freaked out when I put the cooler with the organs next to her. She is now making over 100K with an MBA, but to keep her grounded I remind her of this episode, and her lack of cool.
That is CRAZY!!!! Where you making good money doing it!! Also CONGRATULATIONS on your daughters success!! You definitely did a GREAT JOB!!
That's not crazy. Crazy would have been if they sent you the the scene of an accident, and asked you to remove the heart and lungs from the body right there.
😂😂😂😂😂 for the folks with dark humor.
Wow! How do you find a job doing that?
@@saliadam3051 check wantads under "drivers Needed".
Hello, Mr. Planchunas..how do you find these medical courier runs. I'm a truck driver tryna turn my a hustle job into my new job. I've been research for 3 weeks now looking at youtube etc. I'm hitting brick wall after brick wall; no responses after putting my apps in. Disappointment after disappointment. The biggest thing I'm finding out these places don't have ANYTHING in Chicago (or) Illlionis..PERIOD! That's one of my biggest firewall. HELP!
Thanks for the info Jerome 🙌🏽 I applied 12/15 & hopefully I hear from them soon. Ready to start hustling & build my bread up ‼️I appreciate your energy & content. May the Lord continue to bless you & your family 🙏🏽

Thanks Jerome! I did the same thing!! I’ll follow up with my results!
I see you making some changes in your videos. That’s growth! Nice job 👏
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 I appreciate it boss! In order for us to grow we have to make some changes. Those changes may be a little uncomfortable it’s all apart of the game they call them growing pains.
J. Thanks for being straight up with us 👍
🤝 You’re Welcome!!
God Bless you Jerome. You sure get right down to business.
Thank You!!!!
I've been doing this for a couple of years now part time, and I'll share my tips and tricks I've learned throughout.
Every region/area is different. For example, I'm in Miami, FL. Over here the traffic is insane, and you will burn some time (and fuel) stuck in traffic. For that reason, I prefer to take on the gigs that happen "after hours" when most folks are home sleeping. Less traffic, and inefficiencies to deal with.
I like to have all my shipping boxes/containers built and ready to go. That way I just pull up, box/close and pull out.
Keep all your receipts for fuel, tolls, mileage, service, etc of your vehicle. This stuff is all deductible on your taxes.
You can work for multiple companies at the same time. So when one slows down (not common), you can pick up on the other.
Those are some EXCELLENT TIPS‼️ Thanks for the info!!!
Gracias por compartir estoy tip q ayudan muchisimo. DIOS TE BENDIGA
Came randomly to this video, but years back i did uber. I want to say this, a lot of drivers do these gigs, for easy money or side hustle, that's great, but try to have some caring about your service, meaning, don't just do it because you want money, have some respect for the service you're being paid to do, you don't want to be seen like an employee because you aren't, likewise, don't treat customers like a number because they aren't. Good day!
You should watch some more of my videos.
Its NOT EASY THOUGH!!! I have been trying to get in it for a couple of months now
EVERYONE takes s job because of money.. He does take pride in his services... Go sit yo royal ars down somewhere...It goes hand in hand
Dropoff is heavily saturated now in some areas, just like Uber before it turned into a POS. Still, great video man, you couldn't make it any more easy to understand.
Appreciate It!!!
They only list like 30 cities in the whole country bro where carriers are needed man good luck that you happen to be in one of them I'm in Los Angeles and there's nothing available
Wow, that is crazy!! I hear there is a waitlist for alot of areas also.
I signed up(waiting approval)
But great info so helpful & inspiring to being a your own independent person
I suggest wearing a face mask 😅
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Thanks big bro for being transparent
When you unlocked the metal box, it looked like there was another plastic bag inside... How did you know which one to grab ?... Do all deliveries go to the airport?... How many different keys have you got? What is the heaviest package you have picked up? If you go to the airport, do you have to use short-term parking? How much were the Tolls? Do you go to Medical buildings? What about Walgreens? Do you ever drive less than 120 miles ? What is the farthest away that you get from home? Does any of the samples have to be on ice ?
There weren’t anymore plastic bags. You take all of the bags out, what you saw was I think a weight they put in there so it doesn’t blow in the wind. Yes, all of the ones I picked up go to the airport. I have another video dropping on a new route I just did so stay tuned.

Damn making me want to try it out!
You definitely should try it out!
In theory 100 bucks for about 100 miles sounds pretty good until you do the math. Round trip will most likely take about $36 to 40 in gas, let's say it is only about $7.00 placed on the side for car wear and tear. That leaves a person with roughly $53. Then subtract taxes for a regular person which is about 25% or 13.25 in this case. That leaves the driver with $39.75. Now, let's divide that amount by the 3.5 hours of driving which leaves the person with around $11.35 per hour. I am not even taking into consideration insurance expenses health or vehicle. By the way, a driver will most likely be required to buy a commercial insurance and good luck getting paid in an accident if you are making a delivery and don't have it.
These jobs sound too good to be true and they actually are. Anyone would probably make a better living working for minimum wage than this. There is a reason it is cheaper for companies to do this.
I COMPLETELY disagree.
@@carsandcribs Math doesn't lie, people often overlook the cons of a being a so called "partner." There are companies that hire people to do the same job but pay by the hour, provide benefits including vacation, and pay decent money. Those are the jobs to look for. People looking forward to getting rich from one day to another usually en up getting taken advantage of. Good luck in your job search.
@@ironvoice5079 It does if the math is wrong. People also overlook working for a company that they drive to and from everyday but they feel it’s not smart for gig drivers to do it but it’s actually the samething. Not to mention there are very little people that live close to there job I would say the average person drives about 30 minutes to get to work. I retired in 2019 and I still wonder to this day why I didn’t do it sooner.
@@carsandcribs how is the math wrong? I am not even taking into consideration the opportunity to contribute to a 401K, bonuses, profit sharing. What is your math showing besides a lump sum.
@@ironvoice5079 I’ve been on both sides. I’ve had a min. wage job, an above min. wage job and now I obviously do gig work. I personally have made more money in WAY LESS time doing the gig work, even after taxes and expenses. “To each their own.”
so sweet when you talk. so cute haha
Thank you!! 🤝🏽🤝🏽🤝🏽
Hey Jerome, just letting you know I've been enjoying your videos and hitting those "likes" because you give so much informative gold nuggets. Have some Questions for you or anyone of your UA-cam family who can answer for me- 1. Could this gig be done using a HyreCar rental? I've been seeing this so much and I just want to try this but I don't have a good reliable car and I'm thinking about renting for a while. I don't know if doing so will eat up all my earnings or it will leave some workable amount?
2. It looks like you're doing most of the deliveries at night, are there day- time offers if one don't like driving at night?
3. With siggestions to multi-app, how many phones does one need to do all that? I hear it helps increase earnings.
Thank you. I will appreciate all the help I can get.👏✌
Thank you for watching!! You might be able to do it with a rental car, I am not 100% sure. I wouldn't recommend renting the car until you are actually on the app and know that you will get a route. They have daytime and nightime routes in my area, not sure about yours. You can multi-app with one phone, I only use one phone. I hope I was able to help with your questions!
@@carsandcribs Thank you so much Cars and Cribs for such a quick response. Damn! They don't have it for Massachusetts... pissed!
Hopefully they come to you area soon.
Damn I tried. Nothing for NYC or Long Island. The ones in NY are upstate.
Dang!
This is a great video. Please everyone consider wearing gloves. I am one of the people who takes DNA samples for Labcorp and sends them out for overnight delivery. Trust me when I say WEAR GLOVES. Just drive with some nitrils on ;) -- really you should wear them for any package delivery because the boxes are gross. They are stored in factories with rats and roaches before product even makes their way to them.
Thank You you for the info!!!
@@carsandcribs keep the boxes in your trunk for extra precautions
Handling samples is no more gross' then going to a bar and drinking out of those dirty ass glasses. Or eating out at a Restaurant! nasty germs are everywhere.
Nowadays have to be concerned with things like fentanyl or anthrax.
@@joycesmith7825 WE should not be concerned with folks who refuse to stop takening drugs, that can kill them in a second. Anthrax is very rare in the developed world, so no need to worry about. Even from crackpots?

I just reached out to get set up for the app near Atlanta. Not looking so positive yet. I got a response on the app right as I was submitting my info stating no new drivers for my location. I have those same bags from buying curtains. LOL

good video will try it out
Appreciate It!
Gratitude for the gems
Do u track ur miles,, how come, u did use gloves,?Kool video
I track miles enough for taxes, that's about it. I used hand sanitizer after every pickup. I thought using gloves would just make me waste gloves or make me end up touching everything in the car with the dirty gloves on.
Damn it it's not available in Charleston, SC.
Hopefully it opens up there soon.
I would like to do this. Better than Uber eats.
I think it is really good!
Thank you for this information
You’re Welcome!!
He reminds me of Eddie Murphy. Hella funny
🤣😂🤣
Great video!!
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Thank You!!!
But fuel isn’t your only expense though. I don’t even consider it actually. The current IRS rate is .56 per mile. I round down to .50 so that 114 mile trip costs you $57.00 when you consider wear and tear and fuel. Still worth it IMHO but an important consideration.
Thanks for the info.
The $.57 isn't a cost to you. It's a write-off from your taxes.
@@lowes891646 it is a write off but it’s also a cost/expense. Think of it like this: if you earn $100 today and incur $25 in expenses, you’re responsible for paying income tax on $75 of todays revenue because you’re able to write off the $25 in expenses.
Drop off has a lot more questions on the next page. How do you suggest answering those?
🤔 You may have just gave me an idea for another video.
@@carsandcribs Go ahead and drop it and then I will apply.

My question is how does it work when it comes to taxes. Do you need to file. Do they take taxes out.
Yes, you do need to file and No they do not take taxes out.
So I went to the app & it denied me. Do you think you have to have a newer vehicle? Said one position was open in my area. Not sure why else it would deny me (only info I have was car type & answered the “what would you do question which was pretty easy.)
It could be. I think your vehicle has to be no more than 10 years old.
im confused he didnt go into much detail on the 1st pick up was nothing there what does that mean someone took it? since you already scan the barcode and nothing was on there. does that mean you used the same ups box and have to scan it again to a different pickup?

How is this step by step? How did you sign up how did you get the box? How do you get notifications to even go pick anything up?
It was step by step on how to sign up. You must not have watched the whole video. I believe the sign up process STEP BY STEP is shown at 6:20, if I remember correctly. The route I had required boxes, I got them from the route mgr. Not all routes need boxes. When you get in, you will get the information SPECIFIC to that route from the route manager.

Depends on the company
