The Pioneer ARC App is compatible with selected Android phones operating the Android OS version 4.1 up to 7.1.2. The phone must also support AOA (Android Open Accessory) version 2.0. Ultimately the compatibility depends upon the individual smartphone. Please note, some Android based devices will connect via AOA 2.0 but may not work properly or emit sounds due to the phones software design regardless of the OS version. It sounds like you have the Android Wired connection set to Memory. This is incorrect. It should be set to App Control. You cannot operate the Advanced Remote Control application while driving? Why?
Anything that takes your attention off the road will be restricted. This would be a safety feature.
