Avid subscriber here Sir Alwin and Ma'am Emma since our planning stage in the Philippines. Right now, we are 3 weeks old here in Saskatoon. Landed PR through SINP po. We went on a road trip to Edmonton, Calgary and Banff last Thanksgiving Weekend. So far, Saskatoon is really a beautiful place. Dami rin job opportunities. Hope to see you guys in person. :)
I’m from Saskatchewan,I’m Canadian citizen and been here for 6 years,dahil nag silipatan na cla d2,,mahirap na din cla makahanap ng work..marami na din cla ka kumpetencxa….nag increase na din cla ng rent ,but still still affordable pa rin compare to other provinces,nag increase na din to $15 /hour ang sahod,last oct.1 ..

Maswerte parin kmi dito sa Regina,Saskatchewan,hindi gaanu kataas masyadu ang cost of living..kahit papanu nkakapagsave padin.Yun major impact dumagsa rin mga international students,kaya ang tendency dumarami mga tao hndi nman nadaragdagan ang trabaho,dahil sa lumalaki populasyon ngayon dito matindi ang kumpetisyon sa paghahanap ng trabaho.Then dumarami ang tao ,kumokonti yun nababakante rentahan na apartment,condo,o bahay,at dahil narin sa bglang pagtaas ng bilang ng mga naglipatan ,nagmamahal narin ang renta..di nman din kasi ganun karami ang mga bahay na paupahan ,pero let see after years kung anu magiging impact.Kasi way back year 2015 nung dumating ako dito..Apakadali makahanap ng work at bahay na matirirhan..pero as of now ngmamahal nadin lahat.
Ang masakit lang pagnakakuha na ng papel, ay magsisialisan uli at pupunta sa mga cities. Sana maisip ng lumilipat, manatili ng ilang taon sa nagbigay sa kanila ng papel na province at tumanaw sa naitulong ng province.😊
Kmi dito sa bc may papel pero d kami aalis dito before maging citizen😊
Totoo din po ung mga balita na pag umalis agad sa province na nag PR eh magkakaroon ng problema sa application for citizenship. Yung iba po tinanggalan pa ng PR status dahil months lang iniwan na ung province na nag PR sakanila. To be safe daw po sana 3 to 4 years man lang mag stay sa province na nagbigay ng PR

Tama lilipat sila dun then maghihigpit rin like PEI and other provinces. Kasi same issue ang mangyayari kung sakali. Naka alerto na siguro ang mga provinces na balak na puntahan ng mga IS. Kaya pahirapan na nmn.
Mas okay yan para mabawasan ng mga illegal landlords na nagpapaupa ng overpriced. Almost lahat hindi nmn registered basta lang makapagpaupa tapos ang layo sa expectations. Ginagawang tagabayad mga Is at tfw ng mortgage nila or renta nila mismo. Matuto po sumunod sa batas. Maging legitimong landlord po kayo.
Dito sa BC 3.5% lang increase for 2024. Increase namin this year $61 lang. From $1768 to $1829. 3 bedroom townhouse Richmond BC

Hello kabayan! Ok din sa Saskatchewan province but meron additional taxes which is PST. Total of 11% din ung tax nla compare pdn kay alberta. Search nyo din yung nag iisang city sa canada na sakop ng 2 provinces. Which is Lloydminster. Ang address namin ay Lloydminster SK, pero isang kanto lang pagitan namin sa Lloydminster AB. Andun ang mga groceries at ibang establishment na bilihan. Both side meron naman establishments, mas madami lang sa kabilang kanto ng Alberta 😅 5% tax lang ang cost ng groceries but we are living in Saskatchewan 900 per month and rent 2 bed 1 bath including heat & water.
The only problem here is public transportation. Owning a car is necessity. Meron naman dn mga filipino taxi driver na 5 to 7 dollars ung bayad one way. Good luck po sa paghahanap

I think kahit mag-increase man rent sa Saskatchewan, mas mahal pa rin still sa Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary 😅 We’re from SK rin. Renting for $1,000 / month, 2-storey whole house and basement, with backyard, 2 sheds, with parking space and nasa corner lot rin kami~ 😊 Perfect rin samin yung na rent na place kasi 5mins drive lang papuntang park with lake where we often walk our 2 dogs, 5 mins drive away rin from work ni husband which is sa hospital~ 😊 Our monthly bills nasa $300-400 rin~
I reside in Toronto 4 years na. Expensive is relative. Case to case... salary rate here is different compare to other provinces.. expensive depende talaga sa case. If you live extravagant lifestyle chances are wala talaga.
No more available job in Saskatchewan some workers takes 2 to 3 jobs including IS spouses.
re minimum wage, before alberta pinaka mataas. now alberta isa sa pinakamababa. yes, so bad sa mga minimum wage earners. let’s hope this will be acted soon. i’ve read from one immigrant consultant that a study is being done.
