- Ever been in Colorado Springs and see the pointer tree covered cone on the skyline south of Pikes Peak? That's Rosa, named after Rose Kingsley, the first known woman to climb the mountain and founder of the Springs' first library. Start from North Cheyenne Canon parking lot and hike past St. Mary's Falls and look through Frosty's Park for a wonderful 15 mile, 4,000 feet elevation hike.
