The 16-year-old suspect, Raysean Comer, appeared in court Saturday. Police said he may not have been targeting anyone when he allegedly fired an assault-style rifle randomly and aimlessly, killing 7-year-old Jai'mani Amir Rivera.

Except they're not an adult. You're either a minor or you're not. Any other time, the court would tell them that they're too young to have the same rights or responsibilities that an adult has. He can't even work without a work permit.
I guess you didn't hear about that 10 yr old out of TX who found his grandfather's gun and walked around the trailer park to enter in his grandfather's neighbors trailer home and shot the guy as he was sleeping. The kid is currently 10 but he admitted it only RECENTLY after being allegedly accused of another crime he recently committed that was unrelated. He was ACTUALLY 7 years old when he FATALLY shot his grandfather's neighbor. And there wasn't any actual reason other than him CHOOSING to do it. Oh, and they won't charge this 10 year old with the murder of the man because the kid is a minor! 😂 what a joke this country is.
So it's OK to be a minor, do ADULT things, and not have to deal with ADULT consequences huh...
