I started training in Muay Thai kickboxing and no Gi BJJ after earning my second degree black belt in Karate. I find that Karate has all the same techniques in it as kickboxing and then some and it also has control techniques, take downs and throws like you see in Judo/Jujitsu but no ground game. I am back to training in Karate and a formal gi BJJ program, I like the combination I think they complement each other well, Karate for stand up and Jui-jitsu for the ground. Muay Thai has definitely influenced the way I train and teach Karate and so has Jiu-jitsu. Karate is a great martial art with a lot good techniques but we have to evolve to remain relevant which means embracing modern training methods while continuing the traditional methods which also still work. I will be testing for my third degree black belt in Karate this year and blue belt in BJJ.

@@osamabinladen1585 It is traditionally a part of Karate and many styles still train it and also cross train in Judo and Jujitsu since all three are Japanese. There are many hybrid styles out there as well. My style is a hybrid of Karate, Judo and Jujitsu (Japanese) and I personally have also trained in BJJ and Muay Thai. That being said many crap schools and McDojo's sadly.
