I love Stolas so much, but I ain't defending his actions. And good GOD he can be insufferable sometimes.
However he is an icon in the thumbnail! ✨
I am not favouring Stolas over blitz or "taking his side" as it would be called in a pre school playground.
It took 2 to break up the relationship but Stolas still needs to realise that (which will deffo happen).

I feel like that is also just a mistake in communication, I feel like he never meant to be condescending after a while but the style kinda stuck and since Blitz never said anything (for obvious reasons) he assumed Blitz likes it or is at least okay with it. Same thing happened when Stolas confessed to him but in reverse in ep 8 of s2. Just a good example of how you can sometimes be blind to how you're hurting someone important to you because of a lack of communication.

another thing i wanted to add onto is how stolas is almost barely to not caring at all about when blitz is ACTUALLY in danger or is in a life or death situation. Like during their phone call s1 ep1 where stolas KNOWS that blitz is being shot at and trying to escape and isnt worried about that. in fact called him just to talk to him about THEIR sexual arrangement so HE is the one who made it about sex in the FIRST place. also showing that he care more about banging him again than when blitz was in a life or death situation.
also the second time during s1 ep6 when stolas FINALLY used his powers to save blitz he made it about sex AGAIN and belittled blitz by calling him "his little impish plaything" he is SUCH a hypocrite.

Honestly I blame it on the writing. Stolas just had a very sudden, extreme character change while Blitz remained entirely the same on that front. It was like someone flipping a switch. First half of the show Stolas was the sexual, comedic relief and out of a sudden he became serious.

I like Stolas, but I think it's a narrative point that his entitlement and upbringing, as well as just... I guess outright blindness to those issues in others doesn't make him realize just how silly it sounds.
I also think he genuinely believed he wasn't being condescending. This doesn't absolve him of any point, but does bring up a point of royalty being raised a certain way, which is especially evident with how overall naive he is when it comes to relationships.

Blitz maybe an inconsiderate asshole but at least he knows he’s an inconsiderate asshole.Stolas’s lack of self awareness is extremely frustrating yes he was drunk but that still doesn’t change the fact that he had affair without thinking how it would effect his families reputation and his relationship with his daughter and given how he was acting in season one it’s pretty clear Stolas has no remorse for what he’s done given that he only cared about blitz and saw him as a low imp to use for pleasure. Stolas is just as bad as Blitz.

Another thing I want to add on is how stolas doesn’t really care about trying to find out what’s wrong with blitz. When blitz is talking bad about himself, all that stolas does is cry about the fact that he wants someone to care about him in a romantic way. First of all, you’re literally the one who made it all about sex at the start and now you’re crying over the fact that you want romance. Make up your mind. And second of all, blitz has literally just said that stolas deserves better than him. He has literally just witnessed his boyfriend talking bad about himself. So maybe instead of singing about how depressed he is and being all like, “oh blitzy why don’t you love me, what am I doing wrong?” Maybe you should try, I don’t know. TALKING to your boyfriend and finding out what’s wrong and try to help him
THIS. this frustrated me too. maybe because I watched so many comics about Blitzø opening up about how he hates himself and Stolas being compassionate and listening to him and being loving to him. I was surprised, in a bad way 😅 he was drunk off his feathers though. but still imagine apologizing and talking about your self worth issues and asking why the person you have feelings for wants you and then them responding with nothing about you, that they wanted you just because he wanted someone, anyone at all, and you happened to be there. It's not Stolas's responsibility to fix Blitzo, especially after getting yelled at. (he is a victim of YEARS of domestic abuse. Wtf do you want from him?) Stolas is DRUNK AF in this, and even then he tries so prove that all these people cared enough to throw the party about hating him. Also, relationships develop overtime. Both sides made it so it would be all about sex, even when stolas tried to develop it.
Small correction, but Blitz was never Stolas boyfriend in any capacity. If you have to pay for someone to fuck you (which Stolas did, even if he paid by giving access to his book instead of cash) then they're not your boyfriend/girlfriend. That's a prostitute, and the show has been relatively upfront with this.

I mean nothing ill by saying this, I'm just a little worried by how many people I've seen over the last few episodes of the show referring to them as boyfriends in the comments. I can't tell if this is because people forget that the relationship was transactional or because they think paying your partner for sex is normal or if there's some other reasoning behind this.
@@helenanilsson5666 I mean you’re not wrong but there is a slight nod to them being boyfriends because stolas got invited to the anti blitzø party which is a party that verosika only holds for blitz’s exes meaning that the two of them were boyfriends. But the more that I think about it, yeaah they don’t really seem like boyfriends. But hopefully they do become canon near the end of the season properly

@@Pastel_Dreamcore He was watching him in the soap bubbles. Even if he couldn't see the rest of what's going on, he could see that Blitz was running for his life, ducking, dodging, and hiding. Plus, the sound of a gunshot carries...I find it hard to believe that he wouldn't hear the shots over the phone. He just didn't care enough to consider that this was a bad time, and that he was distracting Blitz from staying alive.
With the way his words were delivered and scrioted, they're making his hypocrisy blatantly obvious.

The problem with this character is that the writers have decided to screw him up too much, without taking the main intentions that Stolas had in the first season, Stolas and Blitz would be an even interesting relationship if Stolas had been as he should have been from the beginning.
I once said this in someone else's video, but I have mentioned that one of the biggest reasons to why a whole lot of people in the fandom who are on team Stolas is because in the episode he was all "Oh woe is me, I'm a crying character boo hoo." Most people are always caught up in the feels of an episode/character that they completely forget that the person who they feel bad for can be just as bad as the person that they are putting a lot of hate on. And people are too focused on the cute moments with Stolas that they don't even realize that there are moments where he has said some horrible stuff. A while ago I even watched a short about how they were saying that because Stolas from child to adult has bowed to Blitz, that it must mean that he treats everybody else equally. When that is far from the case because it's only Blitz that he does it to. Not to mention 1:48 -1:54 is a great example on how he doesn't treat everyone equally. Just because he bowed to Blitz doesn't mean he's great with everyone. I also want to believe that when Stolas calls Blitz his cute name Blitzy or talk to him in a baby voice and everything, he believes that's just his way of being flirty and cute and Blitz is just pretending he doesn't like it when he really does, when the reality is that Blitz really does hate it. And let's not forget, as many people who watch TV know being called cute isn't always a compliment. Sometimes it can mean that the person doesn't take you seriously as they should, which is why I don't like being called cute. Some people who are on team Stolas are too hypnotized by him either being cute or sad to realize that he's not as great of a person as people claim him to be or they turn a blind eye because they feel bad for him or that he's so cute that he deserves happiness. I mean he does, but still. Don't turn a blind eye on a person's flaws 😑
It's such a relieff that I'm not the only person who thinks Stolas has been playing the victim too much and has no sense of responsability for his behavior with Blitz, I really hope for an apology from Stolas to Blitz, It's not fear for Blitz to hold all the blame.

Stolas was my favorite character until apology tour, because in my opinion he owns more of the blame for the stolitz mess, especially on full moon, but I thought he would recognize his discriminatory, belittling behavior and the significance of the power imbalance. but when he acted like the innocent victim after he caused most of the shit, imo, was so fking irritating 😓 when he said "when have I ever?" I had to pause like 'bitch, what-' and again when he said Blitzø "couldn't be bothered to rescue him", like hello? he was taking care of his daughter AND he sent the M&Ms, because he's confident in their ability to handle it. Stolas, I love you, please do better- 🙏
In all honesty it’s both Stolas AND Blitzø who are at fault on how and why their relationship is failing or failed. Many issues rooting from trauma to status(hierarchy), and non communication. Both are using one another for their own goals and reasons so I don’t pardon any of them as to why their relationship failed. I just hope they can work whatever is wrong with themselves first before working on their relationship with one another
That's kind of the point here. A _lot_ of people in the fandom are placing the blame entirely on Blitz, acting like his anger and aggression in response to a scenario he wasn't expecting (and got massive emotional whiplash from, because holy _cow,_ was that poor delivery on Stolas' part) means that he's the bad guy, and Stolas is a poor, pure, innocent woobie being terribly hurt by the mean, bullying imp. There's also folks making videos like this, showcasing _why_ Blitz might have had some of his reactions and been justified in lashing out and feeling like their relationship was built on scorched earth already, and why Stolas did in fact do his fair share of screwing things up and making his declaration of "love" sound so out of nowhere. They're both at fault, but there's a very vocal sector of the fanbase who refuses to see blame on one side, and heaps _more_ blame than is deserved on the other.
Stolas can rot in hell for all I care (quite literally).
I dont think that even if he apologises to Blitzø, admits his mistakes and tries to mend them. *I* would forgive him, he'd need to do something big.

The problem with stolas is that he is oblivious , his dirty talk with blitzo such as " my little imp " or " impish plaything " was his way of flirting and throwing around kinks while also having some affection behind it, the problem is that blitzo's self hatred made him think stolas looked down upon him , so yeah , lack of comunication .

Stolas and Blitz have had *gradual* growth since the deal was first made or when they reunited. People should realize that they are not the same people as they were in the first few episodes. The overly sexualness was played as jokes, meaning its *exaggerated.* Also Blitz never really said he was uncomfortable with what stolas was saying, that's why it continued on for the first place.
I feel like my sanity would disintegrate if I was in Blitzo's shoes. Like this poor dude already hates himself and has to put up with the narrative favoring Stolas? That's depressing.

Missed a pretty big one, right after that first clip "have you ever apologized once in your life", Blitz breaks down and has a moment of serious vulnerability where he mentions his deep seated self hatred and Stolas completely ignores that to hone in on how it still isnt the apology he's looking for
This was made on purpose for Stolas to acknowledge this and apologize to blitz in future episodes. Also Viv herself said that Stolas has zero self awareness and his selfish which are character flaws he will overcome later

I feel like he doesn't understand what he's saying is condescending. He grew up separated and neglected his whole life, barely aware when Blitzo was robbing him. How do you expect him to be aware of Blitzos feelings when hes not even aware of that? I'm not saying when he did wasn't wrong, I'm just saying yall need to stop trashing him-
I feel like because we see things from Stolas' perspective in most of the scenes featuring him, its meant to be that way. He was raised by an ignorant father and forced into a marriage with an abusive, neglectful wife. He craves any kind of affection he can get from people and doesnt realise he is recreating the same childhood neglect he faced for his daughter in his bid to get affection, ultimatley neglecting the affection his daughter has for him as well as the affection she needs. He portrays himself as the victim because he only factors what others do to him, not what he does to others, alongside the fact that a lot of the cast enables him to do so.
In short, hes blindsighted by his upbringing in a broken home and has began to replicate the neglect he faced, willingly or unwillingly, onto those around him in a bid for any type of affection and either willingly ignores its impact on those around him or doesnt even realise he does so.
I hope that it gets addressed and im not just making a character deeper than what he actually is. In my own opinion, Helluva and Hazbin are badly written shows that rely on the sexual humour and the over saturated cussing to distract from the BS.

Okay, while Stolas is thinking that this is flirting, the stuff said in these clips still come off as condescending, and if you think about it, really offensive to Blitzø. It makes sense why he would believe that Stolas thinks lowly of him. Like everybody has said and is probably thinking, the only way they will even have a chance is if they talk out their issues in a much better and calmer state of mind, but that’s honestly easier said than done.

i found it shocking how the show is portraying how “omg look guys!! stolas is standing his ground!! he’s using his words!!” when never before was he using his words. in texts to blitz that are shown on screen in various episodes stolas tries many times to initiate a hangout with blitz but ALWAYS gives blitz the easy way out by saying “but you don’t have to..” but never really reciprocating “but i would like you to.” the one time he does, is in full moon. But since blitzo has never had him actually say this before he is shocked. Not to mention the “words” stolas are using are completely incorrect. Stolas has barely ANYTHING to “stand his ground” from, so it overall makes no sense why he is. If anything, it should be blitz standing his ground. Stolas is so used to being the one in charge, and blitz is so used to just going with it since, i mean, realistically, what can he do?? The whole situation to blitz is: rich prince wants to have sex with me and i get smth for my job in return. It was only an exchange to blitz since stolas never actually outright said “i want a relationship.” what they had is NOT a relationship, and stolas viewing it as such already set him up for failure. Their views of the situation are both totally different. Stolas instead says “i want more” which obviously confuses blitz because he’s already doing a lot. Was he not doing it good enough or what was going on? In which Stolas reveals he thought it had been a relationship all along, which was never the case. This is why blitz rejects this. Blitz’s reaction in full moon is very justifiable. Stolas is very much a *hopeless* romantic.
