This video is from about 2018 and, as of 2023, still the best Ive seen on UA-cam. 👍

The pelvis vertical, core tight, drop hands, top of knees, and push from legs. Shoulders to be dropped, light grip loose arms.... it's all about mid core, hips and legs. That's what I learned from here. Thank you much....🙏

I’ve watched about 10 of these types of videos and this has been the only one explaining how to use the machine. Thank you

Great video. I am 54 years of age and have been following this advice and I have surprised myself how much faster I am going.

These exercises of tensing/relaxing lower body / upper body / fist / shoulders muscles are working really well!

Best video on rowing I’ve seen bar none. The only one to describe how to adjust the feet to get shins vertical. 👍🙂

Best rowing lesson given by a true professional rowing trainer (also my compliments to the female rower). watch out for those crossfiters' rowing videos who teach everything wrong.

So very true. It has been hard to stop but I have finally been able to stop. Tough thing to do for sure.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge....I'm 56 and love rowing.. still learning the catch and release. Especially the release. Not sure about breathing technique. Hope you can elaborate on the subject matter soon. I have noticed that when I get into 10 minute mark and my exhales are at the catch and 2nd exhale is at release. In between catch and release I inhale. Not sure if that's good idea or not..

Very good lesson, I am not an athlete but this was very informative. Also, I got confused from 12:58, you meant to say PULL , NOT PUSH…. unless saying that is normal for you…. ❤ thank you so much, though… gonna go rowing now……😂 cheers from west coast 🇨🇦💪🙏

I'm a novice rower that's been suffering from back and shoulder pain. I'm doing a lot of technical work to try and fix my issue. This is so helpful and makes sense for me!

Question please. Where should the hands touch your core when you are at the intersection of catch/release. Should it be near your sternum (lower chest point) or upper abdomen area ?.

Ashan Wij rowing is more important. Cut the jewels off and improve your strokes.

*If you have a bad back or spinal stenosis NEVER buy a rowing machine! Look at the position of your back. Let's start buy turning this picture 90 Degrees counter clock wise. Its like picking up 60 lbs. by bending way over! BAD!*
