I had so much fun watching Miss Mama Kitty holding Grampa prisioner on the front porch. She sure was hugging him and letting him know how much she missed him. He loved it! I hope he knows she was letting him know we all missed him!
Chad you need to seriously consider putting up "not responsible for accidents " signs to protect ya'll from possible lawsuits from those that think they can just pet the animals!

When my son was 6, he watched other kids petting a mini donkey through the fencing, at a "petting zoo" at a rodeo. When the crowd of kids moved on to the next animal, my son reached through very slowly and cautiously, and that rascal clamped down on his skinny little forearm, just below his elbow.
It wouldn't let go, and several people stepped up and started hitting at the donkey's face. It took a bit before it was able to release his bite. That's when everyone was saying that donkeys can't release the tension until they've bitten all the way down, by the design of their jaw. That's also probably why Rae's hand was fractured, because the jaw couldn't release until it finished the bite.
I laughed when Rae said Chad names everything ending with a "y" and his Tshirt says "Stay Beefy!" 😂😂
Chad had 2 steers called the Beefy boys
This is a phenomenal gate owner for the gate. I am upset we don’t have babies yet. Maybe they need a baby shower! Just saying . . !

I recommend you don't reach over the fence either. New neighbor, talking with my husband, 3.5ft fence between them. Rottweiler sat quietly beside my husband the whole time. Neighbor went to shake hands with my husband. When his hand was even with the top of the fence, she made a NOISE that was NOT a bark, and the only reason he didn't lose his hand, is he reacted fast enough with her warning noise.
Little Donk looked at that Amazon Driver like “no sir!” I’m so glad he wisely chose not to approach.

thanks for the RM43 mention! I had been trying to reclaim an area overrun with wisteria and virginia creeper, nothing would touch it. RM43 has killed it all off back to the roots, and now up 30ft into the trees. It has not affected established bushes.

Years ago, totally my fault, one of my ponies bit me trying to get a treat. A small chunk of tissue was removed by the bite & I had to get a tetanus shot AND show the state health department that the pony was vaccinated for rabies and up to date on all inoculations. Hand feeding treats is something we all do, not saying we should, but if you do be careful, using a flat hand, otherwise you may have consequences to your actions. Remember it is never the animal’s fault. Love the progress you are making on the 40x40! God bless all of your family, with special prayers for both Grandpa & Grandma Doss.❤️🇺🇸❤️🙏❤️✝️

Chad you are always so quick to compliment contractors who you have out to work on your property. So your gutters have to be a real hot mess for you to say something. Little Donk has to be related to Kyle's " puppy" Herc! They take their job serious.
I LOVE your signs! I had totally forgot that donkeys will protect other livestock. When I was young we lived on a farm, we had a bunch of animals including horses and ponies. My horse was given sugar cubes a lot by a previous owner. We figured out (me namely found out the painful way) they kept them in their pockets. Either my brother or sister left the lid to the sweet feed loose or off and all those knuckles heads ate themselves stupid, ending with colic. The vet had to come out and I was standing against a fence, Bootsy had his head over my shoulder at one point. He thought my hand was in my pocket so he lifted his head, clamped down on my clavicle, and separated it, even broke the skin. Out of instinct I went to pull away and my 2nd was to reach over with my other and popped him on the nose. Talk about painful…I can sympathize with Rae. Horse, pony, donkey bites are so painful, especially to the hand, wrist, clavicle where there isn’t no type of cushion, or more sensitive type areas. I’ve had animals all of my life ranging from dogs (including search & rescue, and currently a service dog), cats, cattle, goats, ducks, chickens (fresh eggs are so good!), horses, and ponies. When people ask me if any of them bite, I tell them they have teeth so they can bite BUT they haven’t yet. I have had some that were cranky and I watch them the best I can. I wish people would realize there can be danger (sometimes serious) in trying to pet animals they know nothing about, just like you’ve mentioned about Little Donk, or if anyone were to try it with your cattle.

I have about 30 foot of gutter on a patio. I called to get them cleaned and wire added to them. They said 2700.00 and I said to much so the man said 2400.00. I told him that was too much and a man from church said he would clean it for me. I am thankful for honest workers but this first man was trying to take advantage of an 80 year old woman. I may be old but I still know when a deal is not good.

After 4 years the only problem I have with my gate opener which is Mighty Mule is the occasional low battery voltage , if its cloudy for 2 or 3 days combined with rain I have to switch over to my back up battery just for that reason. I did put a better antenna on ours in the first year. But all in all we love ours. But y'all's is Awesome ❤

Good information about picking up grass to feed the donkey as a city folk, it never entered my mind about weed killer! But I do know not to pet animals you don't know. People always want to pet my dog (pit/boxer mix) and ask, will she bite. I always say she never has. I will never say no she won't bite as every encounter is different. Love the gate! All the best!
Our contractor has been wonderful, they are not tied to the cabinet store. They are just as frustrated… and yes we have a copy of 🎉he final dimensions that were supposed to be ordered… it will cost more for the granite now

Trying to be positive. I have made it 67 years before a contractor has taken advantage of us. Now they came out and measured out kitchen, submitted the plans to the manufacturer and when the cabinets came it wrong they have out money and will now taken them back after they came in wrong. What is one supposed to do. they have out money and the cabinets are not what we ordered. ....I am so done with this project!!! If they had been boxed differently, they were instructed to not remove them until everything was inspected...well that did not happen because of the way things were boxed....now everything is too big and they say they will not take them back...
Bringing this option up due to a company that I watch on UA-cam D & J Projects. Granted they are in Scotland but as a business that does contract work and also sells product to other contractors there have been a few times where the outside contractors screwed up an order and refused to make it right with their customer. D & J Projects has stepped in and made it right with the customer when they were notified what had happened even though they were not responsible for the screw up. It’s just an idea…I pray and hope that there are other businesses around the world willing to help and fix a problem. So maybe you could contact the manufacturer and tell them what is happening. Praying for a reasonable solution to your problem.

As a subcontractor myself, if I submitted the dimensions to the cabinet maker and they were incorrect. . I would hold them responsible for each cabinet that was wrong. As a home owner and I had a copy of the plans showing the correct measurements. Then I would take them to small claims court. And if the installers aren't the same as the cabinet builder, I would sue both. We have a common law that( I don't know exactly how it's worded) but basically the seller has implied that they will a provide a working service for payment. As long as you have proof you will win. They should have insurance. Take pictures if your kitchen so the judge can see how the cabinets can't fit. I expect they will be quick to making it correct instead of going to court. BTW there are good sub contractors out there. Good luck

Hi Chad, the Ghost information about live stock could be metal in Bull nose rings, ear tags, horse shoes and headcollars all so some animals have ID chips which can be picked up could set the gate to open. When you said Gator I think of Yellowstone TV series Chef Gator who does all the food for the actors and staff...
