This video was filmed over a week ago. This is why there is no reference during the tour of VanLeigh's looming closure. If you want to learn more about the closing of VanLeigh RVs, please watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/U_XTHo7hDbA/v-deo.html
Hand held bidet. Common in Vietnam, and likely other SE Asian countries. It takes a little getting used to, but works well.
Love the wood color
RIP "Beacon" :( One of the best.
That spot everyone thinks is for garbage is actually where you can put the wine chiller.
I like the colors, it's nice
Love it, but the Montana High Country seems to be a better buy. Wish the 2 would merge and make a tweener.
I purchased a 2018 320GK August of 2022 and it has been absolutely great to me. It had little fixes here and there but nothing I couldn’t tackle. I full time in it and love that it’s full profile and at 35’ length.
I love that interior but I also despise white cabinets. In my opinion nothing beats wood grain.
Oh man this is nice!
4:45 mark- seems to be a good spot for a wine fridge.
This is on my list for our 320GK....... Door County Wisconsin Wine-Fest!! Its like being in the Bahamas with FRESH, Salt-Free water and NO sharks. You must experience! James From Duluth, MN.
Thank you for showing the front Generator area.
I know it’s a sad day when a manufacturer closing down especially when they have a product that’s 2nd to none but in these uncertain times it’s probably better.but on the other hand I wonder if they have considered going out on their own and if it’s viable to do so because of their popularity and quality they produce in their units
I welcome this product line to be separate from the THOR reach. I hope they restructure into something different and NOT a THOR Brand; I hope they they do not have a none-compete clause .... Just my .02
Great size with ALL the bells & whistles! ACTUAL full sized closet + W/D hookups, E/W bed. Would be perfect for full timers w/stuff (😉).
Completely agree on the color. I'm a "lighter & brighter" person too.
So you are not wrong with the hinges In nor is anybody else there are soft closing and self-closing hinges I don't know who came out with it first🍦
Great Job JD. On December 23, 2022 I purchased a 2018 Vanleigh Vilano 320GK with the Chestnut-color interior..... I think it may be a mixture of chestnut and cherry. While it is not the white-linen interior, I love it. The original owner used it a couple of times before he sold it due to his wife having terminal cancer. When I picked it up, it had .1 hour on the Onan generator. It was used a total of 4 times or less since our purchase. I work for RV Transport company Wave Express (Horizon Transport Company). I haul many of the brands and towable RV's that you preview. None, I say none that I witness when many RV's get to the dealer destinations stay intact-together like the Tiffin-Vanleigh RV products. The Jayco Pinnacles and upper end Keystone Montana's fall apart...... vinyl wrap sticker-wood, etc. None of this on the Vanleigh that you previewed. I am blessed to own a LEGEND. Last year my wife and I drove down to Minneapolis Minnesota to view the build quality of the Forest River Riverstone and Vanleigh RV (Beacon or Vilano). The Riverstone price-point was similar, but it was too LONG. Try getting a 39 foot or 43 foot Riverstone in many of these State parks or National Parks up here in the North? Not very likely without tree damage and the length. This is WHY we shopped the Vanleigh 320GK..... Having 35 years of fabrication, military and civilian (FAA Inspector-commercial and private) of technical and mechanical experience, I can say that I have an "eye-for-detail". The fit and finish does not take a backseat to anyone. Leigh and the Tiffin Family should be proud to see what they build! Sorry for the long story; my life-story revolves around build quality and life safety. When I pulled our 2018 Vilano back from Montana after CHRISTmas, it pulled better than most 5th wheels that I have towed. It was balanced, and the pin weight was less that I thought. ( I pull with a 2016 GMC Sierra 3500 Denali Dually) I kept 57psi of pressure in my AirLift bags and I had an extra 118 gallons of diesel in my box aux tank. The full wet-bolt suspension and articulating pin box produced a minimal of chucking, etc. The Vanleigh RV's have a more of a slope on the front cap thus producing 1-2 mpg better than the other top brand RV's that I have towed. I see this in my MPG and driving expense(fuel) when I drive. Keep up the great work and again I am blessed to get my hands on a beautiful 320GK.... Thank you! James B. Duluth Minnesota. (retired disabled Veteran-D.A.V.)
The service seems like a real nice well built I have to ask though do you find it hard to try to make the bed and one of those ours were similar to that that we have and it was a bear to try to make the bed and I'm not a big fan of the swintex slide we had trouble with ours and a campground spent a week trying to get it fixed twice very expensive to repair it seems like they're using cuz they're cheaply bill but they're not cheap to buy parts for thank you for the RV preview keep up the good work
I noticed that there is no ladder.
with the portable Lippert telescopic ladder in the cargo compartment standard on many RV's.. many are getting away from fixed ladders.
This is right up my alley!! Love a shorter and easier to maneuver 5th wheel!!
Good Afternoon My Good Bro & Sis Of Big Trucks Big RV's
Thank You So Very Much My Good Bro & Sis Of Big Trucks Big RV's
Great review 👏
Don't stop doing the Vanleigh, I love them 😍
Very Nice Interior. Great size for a couple. I like the interior colors. Smart operations engineering of water service & panel.
I kinda like the cabinet colour it feels warm and cabin like 🤷♀️
Hello I love that one in color it fell warm with the cabinet color am from Michigan up in the thumb of Huron county city of Bad Axe Michigan love all your RV and trucks that u put out it's lot of information I have learned a lot of things
I love this!
Hmm, sticker on the dinette slide states it has Cooper tires but it has those crappy Westlakes? This is a 23 model and all of them are supposed to be standard with Cooper tires.
Depends on the build date and when the tires were shipped to Vanleigh RV.... I have seen this on other top brands that I have towed for my RV Transport job (retired, part-time job).
I’ve got a holiday rambler presidential 2001 so it’s defenetly getting old but so far no major issues and that vanliegh looks just like mine but 21 years newer defenetly something I’m interested in
Interior is actually nice, how about that floor, or the pattern!
FYI The alliance fiver comes in 27 foot and 29 foot, wide bodies...The model is the Avenue.
We looked at the Alliance Brand, but the cabinetry and build quality feel is not close to the excellent build quality of the Vanleigh RV.
Love the outside, I like the interior: a big fan of wood. As you said, they offer other interior designs.
Ultra half price?
I feel like this kind of model is probably too niche for the market. If you're considering a 5th wheel, that heavy, and that expensive, you're probably not going to want to sacrifice the interior room by getting some something shorter. You're not going to get away with a lesser tow vehicle, and you're not exactly saving a ton of money either. The trailer is very nice overall, the shade of the wood trim doesn't exactly scream "2023", but it's inoffensive IMHO, not what I would choose, but not abjectly horrid either. You can tell where they robbed Peter to pay Paul in terms of space usage. It has everything you need and the build quality looks to be way better than you see on more modest units. But I don't see the appeal vs. other larger units at similar price points. Unless you're under some kind of very specific storage space constraints (for the trailer itself), I just don't see the appeal here vs the competition.
.....Try getting a 39 foot or 43 foot Riverstone in many of these State parks or National Parks up here in the North? Not very likely without tree damage and the length. This is WHY we shopped the Vanleigh 320GK..... This is why my wife and I just purchased a 320GK.
I am not sure I would like the cable in the cabinets to keep the doors from opening too far. I see that being a potential problem with being able to access the cabinets fully sometimes. Maybe if they had a quick disconnect option so that it could be opened fully if needed, I would be more into that. And I don't mind the color scheme but then I'm totally in the log cabin look.
So I'm guessing without a manufacturers warranty. If you were to buy a unit like this. What would the repair process look like? Nearest service center at full price?
Tiffin will be covering the warranty and repair work on all Tiffin and Vanleigh Rv's. The parts department will stock all parts...... Not a problem....
@@jamesbechthold8858 but for how long?
How does one reach that high vent that is outside of the kitchen? It would suck to have to bring an extra ladder with you when you are camping.
with the portable Lippert telescopic ladder in the cargo compartment standard on many RV's.. many are getting away from fixed ladders.
So sad their fifth wheel production is shutting down!! They make them with beauty and quality. I love the color of wood on this one, very tired of all the dark grey furniture and cabinets, Rich wood has much warmer feel. Thanks for your good info
I like the color. I do not like the grey or white tones. I prefer the natural wood tones.
This RV is priced so high and yet it would make me feel like I’m buying an RV made from the 80’s because of the wood tones and colors. Not a huge fan of it
Have you ever thought of becoming an RV salesman?
I don't think I'd sell many.
@@BTBRVReviews Too honest. You tell it like it is, that's what I enjoy about your channel!
I don’t even know if he has a “day job” but I’m sure this channel provides a lot more income than an RV salesman is likely to make.
@@BTBRVReviews JD.... We will meet someday in real life..... We have many Like-interest! Keep it up! James From Duluth, Minnesota.
With the recent VanLeigh shutdown news, is this a time to get a "deal" on a VanLeigh or is it a time to run the other way?
time to buy a Legend..... Just my .02...
I love the color. So sick of seeing grey.
Very nice unit. Crying shame their going out of business. No way I would buy one due to them going out of business. If you ever had a problem with one, where would you go? They'll have to practically give them away to get rid of them.
I disagree, many LazyDays techs have attended the Factory training and Tech repair course-work. These techs are not leaving the workforce. The frame of these units are Lippert and many of the core components, not specific to Vanleigh. THOR is the Company that decided to cut the Vanleigh line, not Leigh Tiffin. THOR owns Jayco and my Spiderman sense tells be they didn't like the competition to the Pinnacle and other top brands they own in the towable market. Furthermore, I don't thin Vanleigh was in the THOR long-term business plan, I think they had their eye on the TIFFIN Motorhome line. Just my .02
@@jamesbechthold8858 -- Good points but even though the techs are not going away you as an owner of a new Vanleigh LazyDays will not honor warranties on all issues, so you'll have to pay to have some problems out of your pocket. Not worth the headache it would surely be.
@@jamesbass9797 I year bumper to bumper, 3 year structural. My 320GK is a 2018. I'm a retired mechanic/Tech... I try to perform most by myself...... :)
Since the Tiffin Family sold out to Thor alot of good people lost a job. So sad that they sold there sole to the devil.
Definitely a big fan of the interior. Love the natural wood tones. Saw a Beacon with this same interior color last weekend at an RV show and loved it. Even some Alliance RVs are using these interior colors. Anyway great video, and sad to know they won’t be building anymore of these. They really are a big step above other RVs I’ve seen.
Always thought the vilanos were cheap anyways. Fading issues, etc. The beacons are not worth 100k+ due to the fact they are a new brand. I can buy an alpine for cheaper and better quality. I saw it coming. If it wasnt for grand design entering the market at such a. Good time and good marketing I originally didn't think they would make it either. Good news one less crappy brand out there.
